Kaedah pengajaran konvensional sedia ada kurang menarik perhatian pelajar jika ianya hanya melibatkan interaksi satu hala e-Pembelajaran merupakan salah satu kaedah yang boleh digunakan untuk menarik minat dan meningkatkan tahap kefahaman pelajar. Living Hadīṣ dalam tradisi gebyuran di Kampung Bustaman Kota Semarang

Tradisi adalah suatu kebiasaan yang telah dilakukan sejak lama, seperti adat, kebiasaan ajaran dan sebagainya yang turun temurun dari nenek moyang yang dilestarikan terus hingga sekarang. Sedangkan Gebyuran atau perang air merupakan bagian dari tradisi Jawa Tengah khususnya di Kampung Bustaman Kota Semarang, Gebyuran (perang air) adalah tradisi yang diajarkan olek Kyai Kertoboso Boestam agar menjalin tali silaturaḥim serta penyucian diri, tujuh hari atau seminggu sebelum datangnya Puasa dibulan suci Ramadhan, yang dipercaya masyarakat Kampung Bustaman adalah tradisi yang positif untuk menjalin tali silaturaḥim dan melakukan ritual membersihkan diri baik jasmani maupun rohani. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana living ḥadīṣ dalam tradisi gebyuran di Kampung Bustaman Kota Semarang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Jenis penelitian lapangan (field research), dengan pendekatan living ḥadīṣ. living ḥadīṣ adalah ilmu tentang ḥadīṣ- ḥadīṣ yang hidup atau ilmu yang mengkaji tentang gejala-gejala ḥadīṣ ditengah kehidupan umat manusia. Alat pengumpul data wawancara dan observasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif yakni data yang dikumpulkan, disusun kemudian ditafsirkan kemudian diambil kesimpulan. Dari hasil penelitian ini latar belakang living ḥadīṣ dalam tradisi gebyuran di Kampung Bustaman Kota Semarang. Untuk meneruskan kebiasaan Kyai Kertobodo Boestam atau Kyai Bustam yang sudah ada sejak tahun 1743. Tradisi gebyuran ini sebagai simbol mensucikan diri dan tradisi gebyuran Bustaman memiliki makna wadah untuk menjalin tali silaturaḥim sekaligus alat untuk untuk mensucikan diri, berbuat kebaikan kepada sanak saudara, saling mengasihi degan lemah lembut, saling memuliakan dan menghormati sesama masyarakat Kampung Bustaman Kota Semarang. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa tradisi gebyuran masyarakat Kampung Bustaman Kota Semarang sangatlah kental. Masyarakat percaya bahwa tradisi yang diajarkan ole Kyai Kertoboso Boestam membawa berkah kepada masyarakat, sehingga pada saat masyarakat bersatu sama lain dapat terjalin hubungan baik dan silaturaḥim dapat terjalin diantara masyarakat Kampung bustaman

Mechanical properties of a gelatin replacer, pectin, from banana and mango peels

An experimental design was used to slUdy the influence of pH, tempemture and time on the extraction of pectin from banana peels (Musa) and mango peels (Mungiferu indica), The yield of the extracted pcetin was measured to dctermine the optimum extraction condition. Alcohol insoluble solid (A1S) method was used for the extraction technique where ethanol was the solvent. The design of experiment WaS performed using statistical software Design Expen to know the pattern on the experiment C"Onducted. The tcmperarure, pH and time of extraction of AIS were optimiud using 2-faetorial design. Statistical analysis showed that the optimum parameters that provided the maximum pectin yields were at 4 hours. pH 2.0 and 9O"C of extraction. The pectin yields from both banana and mango peels were measured and calculated to be within the r,mge of 53 to 134 mglg aod 58 to 122 mglg respectively

Student’s attendance system using QR code

The purpose of this project is to develop a system that can record the presence of students using QR code. Previously, teachers needed to use paper to record student attendance. There are many problems that arise when teachers use paper as a record of student attendance such as a loss of attendance record and have been taken a long time. The objective of the study is to design a prototype interface of student attendance system using QR code and casing of QR code scanner, to build up the design the prototype interface of student attendance system using QR code and casing of QR code scanner and test the functionality the prototype of interface student attendance system using QR code and casing of QR code scanner. The interface for this system will be integrated with the LabVIEW Software to develop a database. This system can record the attendance of the student to school and a warning letter will be automatically generated when the student does not come to school in 2 days repeatedly. The development process of the Student Attendance System Using QR Code is based on the Prototype Development Model that consists of a five-phase model, that is planning, analysis, design, Prototype development, and testing. The design of casing for QR code scanner was developed using Sketchup software. LabVIEW Software is used to generate interface displays and built-in databases using Microsoft Excel. Overall, the system that has been developed can work well and achieves the objectives set

Gaya pembelajaran pelajar sekolah menengah teknik

Learning style plays an important role in teaching and learning. Learning style consists of distinct behaviour acting as an indicator on how students learn and adapt from the environment and how students’ mind operate. The purpose of the study was to identify technical secondary schools students’ learning styles. Descriptive research design was used for this study. The sample comprised 635 technical secondary schools students who were chosen using a multistage procedure. The findings showed that majority of Civil, Mechanical, and Electric and Electronic Engineering students were accommodator and converger. For Commerce and Agricultural Science students, they were accommodator, converger and assimilator. The study recommends that teachers should use instructional strategies that accomodate their students’ learning style

Career management competency among vocational skilled military retirees

The purpose of transition skills training for military retirees are to prepare them towards their retirement plan. Ability to be employed with ease after retirement indicates that the retiree is competent in planning and implementing his plan on employment post military service. This study aimed to gauge the effectiveness of the skills training attended by military retirees and to examine whether there is any difference in the career management competencies of the military retirees if they are trained by different training centres and /or if they enrolled into different training areas. A quantitative study using survey exploration was carried out on 380 low-ranking military retirees. This study used a set of questionnaire adapted from Career Competencies Indicator by Haase and Francis-Smythe (2007). The results indicated that the level of competencies among military retirees were at moderate or middle level. Further, the study revealed that there were variation in competency results obtained by retirees training in different training centres as well as in different areas of skills. This study is hoped to be used by training centers and department of military retiree welfare to prepare for a more effective program to assist military retirees boost up their competence and confidence in acquiring skills for post retirement employment

Comparison Analysis Of Financial Performance Before And During The Covid-19 Pandemic At Pt United Tractors Tbk In 2019 And 2020

This study examines the financial performance of PT United Tractors Tbk before and during the Covid-19 pandemic in the 2019 and 2020 periods by using financial ratios. The aim of the research is to find out the differences in the financial performance of PT United Tractors Tbk before the Covid-19 pandemic and during the Covid-19 pandemic. The population in this study is all of PT United Tractors Tbk's financial report data. with samples of financial report data for quarters I to IV for the 2019 and 2020 periods. Secondary data collection techniques. This study used comparative quantitative analysis. Data were processed using paired sample tests using SPSS.Based on the results of the research analysis conducted at PT United Tractors Tbk, it can be concluded that judging by the average results, the liquidity ratio, current ratio, and quick ratio during the Covid-19 pandemic have increased. The solvency ratio, debt to asset ratio, and debt to equity ratio during the Covid-19 pandemic have decreased. The activity ratio, receivable turnover during the COVID-19 pandemic increased, while fixed asset turnover, total assets turnover and working capital turnover during the COVID-19 pandemic decreased. Profitability ratios, Net profit margin, return on assets, and return on equity during the Covid-19 pandemic have decreased. And the results of the paired sample test of different tests show the liquidity ratio, There is a significant difference between the current ratio and quick ratio between financial performance before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. The solvency ratio, debt to asset ratio, and debt to equity there are significant differences between financial performance before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. There are significant differences between activity ratios, fixed assets turnover, and working capital turnover between financial performance before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, there is no significant difference between receivable turnover and total assets turnover between financial performance before and during the Covid-19 pandemic

Technical and vocational education students’ perception of using learning videos during Covid-19 pandemic period

The closure of Higher Education Institutions and Schools due to COVID-19 pandemic has affected the structure of Learning and Teaching (T&L) from direct method at institutions to Open and Distance Education (ODE) completely. All face-to-face T&L activities are not allowed except for certain categories of students who need to return to campus in stages to participante in T&L activities in full compliance of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) set by prioritizing safety measures and social distancing. This study used a quantitative approach by using online questionnaire as instrument (google form). A total of 73 Technical and Vocational Education (TVE) students from various backgrounds of respondents participated in the study. The findings of the study showed that there was a strong correlation between the aspects of interest and gender of TVE students in using learning videos during the COVID-19 pandemic period (r = .701). Therefore, all parties must prepare to face the new norm, namely the ODL method as a whole during the COVID-19 pandemic period to continue the T&L process for students

Nvivo approach and content analysis in media flow analysis and alternative selected prime: Permatang Pauh by-election

Nowadays, media seems to be important indicator in general election. It is due to political change in Malaysian general election in 2008.The usage of media through be-election can be a signal to political parties to plan their strategies and manifesto in future election.Therefore, the way of information disseminate and issues deliver by them will enhance the fruitful in political landscape in Malaysia.Thus, this study was conducted to identify issues featured in Utusan Malaysia, Berita Harian, Harakah and Suara Keadilan as well as the differences in the issues presented by the four newspapers during the Parliament Permatang Pauh election campaign period in 2008.Agenda Setting Theory was used as the theoretical framework underlying this research. The study using the tree nodes analysis technique and the findings through qualitative analysis reveals 11 issues and three themes from the newspapers studied.The emerging issues were found consists of government formation, education, candidates, ethnic, elections, media, ruling party, Pakatan Rakyat, development, religion and security.The finding shows that the most prominent issue is about candidates. In terms of differences in how the four daily newspapers featuring equality issue most prominently displayed on different ideologies and views.The latter newspaper, however, was favourable in its reports on the Pakatan Rakyat political party. The findings based on Agenda Setting Theory indicates that the company shareholders and the newspaper editors had a heavy influence on the news reporting made by the four newspapers studied.In future research, the four newspapers should be free while reporting in order to have useful issues deliver to the public.They must have the proper rules and policy to ensure the transparency and adequate information will disperse accordingly
