Indexes Objectively Reflecting Performance Evaluation of Technical Rubber Goods
AbstractIn order to choose a characteristic index which objectively reflects performance evaluation of technical rubber goods, accelerated thermal-oxidative ageing of rubbers was carried out. It has been demonstrated that as the index accountable for maintaining workability the rate of set at compressing or tension relaxing at pressing of technical rubber goods in a statically deformed state is usually taken. Besides, breaking elongation or tensile strength of technical rubber goods in a free state can be taken as an index, as well. It has been educed that the most sensitive index which reflexes the structural changes in the rubber of the rubber-cord casing (RCC) during the process of ageing is breaking elongation, the value of which is drastically dropping in the initial period of the thermal ageing and monotonously changing thereafter

The authors present a review of up-to-date non-invasive visualization methods used in diagnostics of diseases of skin
and its appendages. They describe physical principles forming the basis for non-invasive visualization methods such
as dermatoscopy, confocal laser scanning microscopy, optical video monitoring, optical topometry, optical coherent
tomography, ultrasound scanning, 3D-modeling. They also describe the potential of practical application of these diagnostics
methods at the current stage of their development. The authors have demonstrated that it is possible to reduce the clinicians
need in biopsy diagnostics due to the high information value of non-invasive visual diagnostics methods.ΠΡΠ΅Π΄ΡΡΠ°Π²Π»Π΅Π½ ΠΎΠ±Π·ΠΎΡ ΡΠΎΠ²ΡΠ΅ΠΌΠ΅Π½Π½ΡΡ

Thermophoresis as persistent random walk
In a simple model of a continuous random walk a particle moves in one
dimension with the velocity fluctuating between V and -V. If V is associated
with the thermal velocity of a Brownian particle and allowed to be position
dependent, the model accounts readily for the particle's drift along the
temperature gradient and recovers basic results of the conventional
thermophoresis theory.Comment: 4 page
Enhancement of fusion rates due to quantum effects in the particles momentum distribution in nonideal media
This study concerns a situation when measurements of the nonresonant
cross-section of nuclear reactions appear highly dependent on the environment
in which the particles interact. An appealing example discussed in the paper is
the interaction of a deuteron beam with a target of deuterated metal Ta. In
these experiments, the reaction cross section for d(d,p)t was shown to be
orders of magnitude greater than what the conventional model predicts for the
low-energy particles. In this paper we take into account the influence of
quantum effects due to the Heisenberg uncertainty principle for particles in a
non-ideal medium elastically interacting with the medium particles. In order to
calculate the nuclear reaction rate in the non-ideal environment we apply both
the Monte Carlo technique and approximate analytical calculation of the Feynman
diagram using nonrelativistic kinetic Green's functions in the medium which
correspond to the generalized energy and momentum distribution functions of
interacting particles. We show a possibility to reduce the 12-fold integral
corresponding to this diagram to a fivefold integral. This can significantly
speed up the computation and control accuracy. Our calculations show that
quantum effects significantly influence reaction rates such as p +7Be, 3He
+4He, p +7Li, and 12C +12C. The new reaction rates may be much higher than the
classical ones for the interior of the Sun and supernova stars. The possibility
to observe the theoretical predictions under laboratory conditions is
discussed
Behavior of the Ti-Zr-Ni thin film containing quasicrystalline and approximant phases under radiative-thermal action in transition modes
X-ray diffraction and SEM microscopy were used to study the structural and phase changes in a thin film obtained by magnetron sputtering of a Ti52Zr30Ni18 target (at.%) on a steel substrate under the radiation-thermal influence of pulsed hydrogen plasma on an QSPA Kh-50 accelerator. A technique has been worked out for the formation of the quasicrystalline and crystal-approximant phases as a result of high-speed quenching using pulsed action with a heat load of 0.6 MJ/mΒ². The changes in the contents of these phases as well as in their structure and substructure parameters were studied during isothermal vacuum annealing at a temperature of 550 β and also as a result of irradiation with 5 plasma pulses in the range of heat load from 0.1 to 0.4 MJ/mΒ². The quasicrystalline phase was found to be resistant to irradiation with hydrogen plasma.ΠΠ΅ΡΠΎΠ΄Π°ΠΌΠΈ ΡΠ΅Π½ΡΠ³Π΅Π½ΡΠ²ΡΡΠΊΠΎΡ Π΄ΠΈΡΡΠ°ΠΊΡΡΡ ΡΠ° Π‘ΠΠ Π²ΠΈΠ²ΡΠ΅Π½Ρ ΡΡΡΡΠΊΡΡΡΠ½Ρ Ρ ΡΠ°Π·ΠΎΠ²Ρ Π·ΠΌΡΠ½ΠΈ Π² ΡΠΎΠ½ΠΊΡΠΉ ΠΏΠ»ΡΠ²ΡΡ, ΠΎΡΡΠΈΠΌΠ°Π½ΠΎΡ ΠΌΠ°Π³Π½Π΅ΡΡΠΎΠ½Π½ΠΈΠΌ ΡΠΎΠ·ΠΏΠΈΠ»Π΅Π½Π½ΡΠΌ ΠΌΡΡΠ΅Π½Ρ ΡΠΊΠ»Π°Π΄Ρ Ti52Zr30Ni18 (Π°Ρ.%) Π½Π° ΠΏΡΠ΄ΠΊΠ»Π°Π΄ΡΡ Π·Ρ ΡΡΠ°Π»Ρ, ΠΏΡΠΈ ΡΠ°Π΄ΡΠ°ΡΡΠΉΠ½ΠΎΡΠ΅ΡΠΌΡΡΠ½ΠΎΠΌΡ Π²ΠΏΠ»ΠΈΠ²Ρ ΡΠΌΠΏΡΠ»ΡΡΠ½ΠΎΡ Π²ΠΎΠ΄Π½Π΅Π²ΠΎΡ ΠΏΠ»Π°Π·ΠΌΠΈ Π½Π° ΠΏΡΠΈΡΠΊΠΎΡΡΠ²Π°ΡΡ ΠΠ‘ΠΠ Π₯-50. Spectral functions, Fermi surface and pseudogap in the t-J model
Spectral functions within the generalized t-J model as relevant to cuprates
are analyzed using the method of equations of motion for projected fermion
operators. In the evaluation of the self energy the decoupling of spin and
single-particle fluctuations is performed. It is shown that in an undoped
antiferromagnet (AFM) the method reproduces the selfconsistent Born
approximation. For finite doping with short range AFM order the approximation
evolves into a paramagnon contribution which retains large incoherent
contribution in the hole part of the spectral function as well as the
hole-pocket-like Fermi surface at low doping. On the other hand, the
contribution of (longitudinal) spin fluctuations, with the coupling mostly
determined predominantly by J and next-neighbor hopping t', is essential for
the emergence of the pseudogap. The latter shows at low doping in the effective
truncation of the large Fermi surface, reduced electron density of states and
at the same time quasiparticle density of states at the Fermi level.Comment: RevTex, 13 pages, 11 figures (5 color
Phase Separation of Rigid-Rod Suspensions in Shear Flow
We analyze the behavior of a suspension of rigid rod-like particles in shear
flow using a modified version of the Doi model, and construct diagrams for
phase coexistence under conditions of constant imposed stress and constant
imposed strain rate, among paranematic, flow-aligning nematic, and log-rolling
nematic states. We calculate the effective constitutive relations that would be
measured through the regime of phase separation into shear bands. We calculate
phase coexistence by examining the stability of interfacial steady states and
find a wide range of possible ``phase'' behaviors.Comment: 23 pages 19 figures, revised version to be published in Physical

Spin stiffness and quantum fluctuations in C-type and A-type antiferromagnets
We present a systematic study of quantum fluctuations in the C-type and
A-type antiferromagnetic (AF) phases in cubic lattices and in bilayer systems.
Using the linear spin-wave theory, we show that the spin stiffness and the
quantum corrections to the order parameter and energy obtained for C-AF and
A-AF phases decrease with the increasing number of ferromagnetic bonds.
Therefore, the quantum spin effects in LaMnO_3 and in LaVO_3 are rather small,
suggesting the magnetic moments of 3.91 and 1.89 Bohr's magneton, respectively.
They cannot explain the strong reduction of the magnetic order parameter
observed in cubic vanadates.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figure
