    The objectives of the study are to analyze economic potential and efficiency on small scale economic or “ekonomi rakyat†of Ogan Komering Ulu Timur (OKU Timur) Municipality. The primary data by used of this research, and the people economies analysis by using efficiency and production approaches. The result of the research shows that “ekonomi rakyat†in OKU Timur has biggest potential based on production approach, sales, profitability and efficiency. In sector of mining, hotels and restaurant have highest efficient and feasible to developed, sector of industry, and paddy production, while wallet nest, Pedigree Fowl and Domestic Hens are also efficient and feasible. Meanwhile, the efficiency while do the opposites of its input production from out-of local area, such as tradable goods and car services is not efficient

    Guided Inquiry Model with the REACT Strategy Learning Materials to Improve the Students’ Learning Achievement

    This study aims to describe the effectiveness of learning materials with a guided inquiry model with the REACT strategy to improve students’ learning achievement on heat and temperature topic. It developed with the 4D model and try outed using the One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design. Data collection methods used validation, observation, and test. The results of this research are that the learning materials have a very valid category and it can be used to improve the learning process. The learning achievement, the average post-test score is 84 with an N-Gain of 0.7 which categorize as medium, while the overall student completeness reached 88.57%. The students have a very good response to learning in the range of the answer with agree and very agree. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that learning materials of the guided inquiry learning model with the REACT strategy can improve the students’ learning achievement on heat and temperature topic. Guided inquiry with the REACT strategy learning is expected to be able to make students more actively in the process of gaining their knowledge directly so that students are easier to remember and interpret

    Efektifitas Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Predict Observe Explain untuk Melatih Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Siswa SMA dengan Metode Library Research

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas penerapan model Predict Observe Explain untuk melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMA. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan kuantitatif deskriptif menggunakan metoda Library Research. Jenis data yang digunakan yaitu data sekunder yang diperoleh dari jurnal nasional atau internasional. Langkah yang digunakan dengan menuliskan tujuan penelitian, mencari jurnal yang relevan dengan tujuan penelitian, membaca abstrak dan seluruh isi jurnal. Data yang didapatkan berupa data kuantitatif yang dianalisis menggunakan uji N-gain dan kualitatif yang dituliskan ke dalam tabel review .  Hasil rata – rata skor pretest dan posttest sebesar 34,31 dan 62,05. Nilai N-gain  sebesar 0,52 dengan klasifikasi sedang. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran POE efektif untuk melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SM

    The study aimed to know: 1) which one of the learning models gave a better achievement between Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model with Open-Ended Approach, TPS, or direct learning model, 2) which one of the students with mathematical disposition category had a better achievement between students with high, moderate or low mathematical disposition, 3) in each student's mathematical disposition category, which learning model gave a better student's achievement in mathematics, 4) in each learning models, which one of the students with mathematical disposition category had a better student's achievement in mathematics. This was quasi-experimental study with 3x3 factorial design. The study population was all eighth grade students of state junior high school in Purworejo District. Instruments used to collect data were mathematics achievement test and the student's mathematical disposition questionnaire. The data were analyzed using unbalanced two ways ANOVA. Based on the data analysis, it was concluded that: 1) TPS with Open-Ended Approach gave better achievement than TPS and direct learning model while TPS and direct learning model gave same achievement, 2) the students with high mathematical disposition had better achievement than the students with moderate and low mathematical disposition, and the students with moderate mathematical disposition had better achievement than the students with low mathematical disposition, 3) at all categories of students' mathematical disposition, TPS with Open-Ended Approach, TPS, and direct learning model gave the same achievement, 4) in the TPS with Open-Ended Approach and TPS, the students with high mathematical disposition had better achievement than the students with moderate and low mathematical disposition, and the students with moderate mathematical disposition had better achievement than the students with low mathematical disposition. In the direct learning model, the students with high mathematical disposition had better achievement than the students with moderate and low mathematical disposition, while the students with moderate and low mathematical disposition had the same achievement
