    Keanekaragaman Arthropoda Permukaan Tanah pada Pertanaman Ubikayu (Manihot Utilissima Pohl.) Setelah Perlakuan Olah Tanah dan Pengelolaan Gulma

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman arthropoda permukaan tanah pada pertanaman ubikayu setelah perlakuan olah tanah dan pengelolaan gulma. Perlakuan disusun dalam rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dengan empat perlakuan dan empat ulangan. Keempat perlakuan tersebut ialah olah tanah minimum dan pengelolaan gulma secara manual (non herbisida), olah tanah minimum dan pengelolaan gulma dengan herbisida, olah tanah intensif dan pengelolaan gulma dengan herbisida, serta olah tanah intensif dengan pengelolaan gulma non herbisida. Herbisida yang digunakan berbahan aktif glifosat dan 2,4 D dengan dosis 160 ml Bimastar 240/120 SL dalam 1 liter air per ha diaplikasikan pada awal tanam. Pengambilan sampel arthropoda dengan pitfall trap (diameter 9 cm, tinggi 12 cm) dilakukan sebanyak 8 kali dengan selang waktu 1 minggu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemelimpahan total arthropoda permukaan tanah pada lahan pertanamanubikayu dengan perlakuan pengolahan tanah dan pengelolaan gulma ialah sebanyak 8910 ekor, yang tercakup dalam 10 ordo dan 27 – 29 famili. Diantara ordo dan famili yang diperoleh, dua ordo dan famili dengan kemelimpahan dan kepadatan populasi relatif tertinggi berturut-turut ialah ordo Collembola dan Hymenoptera, serta famili Paronellidae dan Formicidae. Baik perlakuan pengolahan tanah maupun pengelolaan gulma yang dilakukan pada awal tanam tidak berpengaruh terhadap keanekaragaman arthropoda. Besarnya nilai-nilai indeks Shannon-Wiener dan indeks Simpson tergolong dalam kategori sedang. Selain itu juga diketahui bahwa pada keseluruhan lahan perlakuan, arthropoda permukaan tanah yang didapatkan didominasi oleh arthropoda yang berperan sebagai dekomposer dan predator

Synthetic nematicides was not suitable for controlling of nematodes on guava because of their side effect on environment and health. Therefore, it was necessary to search the alternative control technique. This research aim was to study the Purpureocillium lilacinum bionematicide to control root knot nematode on Kristal guava plantation. Field experiment with Block Experimental Design with five block was conducted in Kristal guava plantation belonging PT GGP-PG4 East Lampung, from January until May 2020. Four treatment were applied consisted of bionematicide, bionematicide plus compost, synthetic Carbofuran nematicide, and check without treatment. New shoot formation data were plotted on histogram graph, while analyses of variance was applied for root damage and nematode population and LSD test was used for mean separation by R-studio program on 5% significance level. The results show that application of P. lilacinum bionematicide solely or composed with compost were effective to control root knot nematodes on Kristal guava plantation. It was recommended to use bionematicides P. lilacinum plus compost to control plant parasitic nematodes for various cultivated plants

    The White-Bellied Planthopper (Hemiptera: Delphacidae) Infesting Corn Plants in South Lampung, Indonesia. Corn plants in South Lampung were infested by newly-found delphacid planthoppers. The planthopper specimens were collected from heavily-infested corn fields in Natar area, South Lampung. We identified the specimens as the white-bellied planthopper Stenocranus pacificus Kirkaldy (Hemiptera: Delphacidae), and reported their field population abundance

    Background: Regulation on the obligation to use generic drugs in health care facilities with regulation Number HK.02.02/MENKES/068/I/2010. The high price ofdrugsandthelimitedcostofgoingtothedoctorleadtothedesiretotreatminor illnessesontheirownorself-medication.Toachievethegovernment'sprogram,it is necessary to have a good level of knowledge and a positive attitude regarding generic drugs because most of the Indonesian population is mostly doing self- medication for minor illnesses, so that the treatment can get the maximum therapeutic effect of the drug.
