    Magnetic and transport properties of CeT2Al10(T= Fe, Ru, Os) under pressure

    The results of electrical resistivity ρ measurements for CeT2Al10 (T = Fe, Ru, Os) under pressure are reported. The abrupt increase was observed at T0 ~ 27 K for CeRu2Al10 and 29 K for CeOs2Al10 at ambient pressure. By applying pressure, T0 for CeRu2Al10 and CeOs2Al10 suddenly disappeared at 4 GPa and 2 GPa, respectively. Although the ground state of CeRu2Al10 is metal at ambient pressure, ρ at low temperatures increased and the ground state became semiconductor at 2 GPa. The increase in ρ suppressed above 3 GPa and the ground state became metal above 5 GPa. Magnetic contribution to CeRu2Al10 above 4 GPa shows maximum, which seems to be attributed to Kondo coherence. These systematical change in ρ(T) was also observed in CeFe2Al10 and CeOs2Al10. From the pressure dependence of the temperature of the maximum, we suggests that CeFe2Al10 and CeOs2Al10 is corresponding to 3.2 GPa and 1.3 GPa of CeRu2Al10

    EphA2 Drives the Segregation of Ras-Transformed Epithelial Cells from Normal Neighbors

    © 2016 Elsevier Ltd In epithelial tissues, cells expressing oncogenic Ras (hereafter RasV12 cells) are detected by normal neighbors and as a result are often extruded from the tissue [1–6]. RasV12 cells are eliminated apically, suggesting that extrusion may be a tumor-suppressive process. Extrusion depends on E-cadherin-based cell-cell adhesions and signaling to the actin-myosin cytoskeleton [2, 6]. However, the signals underlying detection of the RasV12 cell and triggering extrusion are poorly understood. Here we identify differential EphA2 signaling as the mechanism by which RasV12 cells are detected in epithelial cell sheets. Cell-cell interactions between normal cells and RasV12 cells trigger ephrin-A-EphA2 signaling, which induces a cell repulsion response in RasV12 cells. Concomitantly, RasV12 cell contractility increases in an EphA2-dependent manner. Together, these responses drive the separation of RasV12 cells from normal cells. In the absence of ephrin-A-EphA2 signals, RasV12 cells integrate with normal cells and adopt a pro-invasive morphology. We also show that Drosophila Eph (DEph) is detected in segregating clones of RasV12 cells and is functionally required to drive segregation of RasV12 cells invivo, suggesting that our invitro findings are conserved in evolution. We propose that expression of RasV12 in single or small clusters of cells within a healthy epithelium creates ectopic EphA2 boundaries, which drive the segregation and elimination of the transformed cell from the tissue. Thus, deregulation of Eph/ephrin would allow RasV12 cells to go undetected and expand within an epithelium

    [目的]理学療法士(以下PT)・作業療法士(以下OT)・言語聴覚士(以下ST)の国家試験問題過去10年分から,高次脳機能障害分野に関する問題を分析し,国家試験対策の方法を検討することが目的である.[方法] 2002年から2011年のPT ・ OT ・STの過去10年分の国家試験問題から,高次脳機能障害分野の問題を抽出し,総出題数と最頻値,五肢選択形式,問題の深さ(Taxonomy),高次脳機能障害の分類について分析した.[結果]総出題数はPT41問・ OT70問・ST190問であり,最頻値はPT3問・ OT8問・ST20問であった.問題の深さに関しては,想起レベルがPT27問(66%)・ OT41問(59%)・ ST154問(81%)と最も多く、出題形式は五肢択一形式(以下Aタイプ)がPT31問(76%)・ OT55問(79%)・ST150問(79%)と出題される頻度が高かった.高次脳機能障害の出題分野については, STでは失語症に関する問題が120問(63%)と多かった.[結語]問題の傾向としてはAタイプ,想起レベルが多く,語句の意味や定義について正しい知識を身につけることが,国家試験対策の基本となることが再確認された

    Abstract T4 locally advanced non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a heterogeneous group with a great variety of involved organs and is associated with a poor prognosis. However, appropriately selected patients benefit from surgical resection. The surgical indication must be carefully considered based on the risk–benefit between high surgical stress and expected prognosis, particularly in cases with probable aortic involvement. Here, we report a long‐term survival case of left upper lobe squamous cell carcinoma, in which lobectomy and combined distal aortic arch and left subclavian artery resection achieved a complete resection after induction chemoradiotherapy (CRT). Appropriate patient selection considering expected prognosis, induction CRT and complete resection under well‐planned cardiopulmonary bypass are essential to achieve a long‐term survival on T4 NSCLC with a probable aortic involvemen
