It is called "Al-Qaṣāʾid Fil-Madḥis Sayyidil-Maḥmoodi, Ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa Sallam," shortened as Al-Qaṣāʿid, which can be roughly translated as a set of Panegyric Poems for praising the leader of mankind, Peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him). Al-Qaṣāʾid, as the title suggests, hails and praises the unrivaled attributes of Prophet Muḥammad. The poems describe his virtuous characteristics, and what makes him unique, which include his being a chosen person, trustworthy, noble yet humble, generous, and compassionate. Like many prophetic poems – Waka, Al-Qaṣāʾid is a popular poem among the Yoruba Muslim communities. It is chanted in madrasas, as well as social gatherings, such as walimat (a banquet, dinner) during weddings, naming ceremonies, and so on. The author, Al-Ḥājj Abubakar Yusuf As-Ṣūfī uses the modern Mashriqi writing style, but with the special features of the Yoruba diacritics.The contents of this collection were developed with support of the Title VI National Resource Center grant # P015A180164 from the U.S. Department of Education.     Survey of gastro-intestinal protozoans of pigs slaughtered at the Jos Abattoir, Plateau State, Nigeria

    An investigation on the incidence of gastro-intestinal protozoans of pigs slaughtered at the Jos Abatoir  was carried out between May and November, 2007 using direct smear, floatation method and sporulation of oocysts of coccidia. Out of the 532 pigs examined 236 (44.36%) were positive for five genera of   intestinal protozoans. The study identified five genera of intestinal protozoans which include: Giardia   lamblia 36(6.77%) Isospora sp 42(7.90%) Eimeria sp 38(7.14%) Balantidium coli 50(9.40%) Entamoeba  sp 25(4.70%). Mixed infection of the intestinal protozoans involving some of the five genera of the  parasites recovered in this studies accounted for 45(8.46%) out of the 532 samples. The parasites  occurred more in female Pigs 148(49.66%) than in the male pigs 88(37.61%). However statistical  analysis revealed no significant difference in the sex related incidence of gastro-intestinal parasites  (P.0.05). Adult pigs haboured more of the parasites 282(67.14%) than the young pigs 54(48.21%). The  incidence rate of infection for adult pigs ranged between 6.67% and 9.05% while that of young pigs ranged  between 4.46% and 10.71%  Statistical analysis showed significant difference in the rate of infection between the young and adult pigs at (P.0.05). The large white breed was more infected 212(44.92%) than any other breeds. Which was followed by the mixed breed 14(43.75%) and the least rate of 10(35.71%) was recorded in the large black. Generally the incidence rate of infection with intestinal protozoans was low in this investigation as compare to previous researches.KEY WORDS: Endemecity, Gastro-intestinal, Occurrence, Pigs, Protozoans

    In-Vitro Studies on the Sensitivity of Staphylococcus aureus to Some Ethno-Medicinal Preparations Sold around Kano, Nigeria

    Five traditional herbal preparations were sampled between May-June, 2009 in Kano. The samples were investigated for invitro antibacterial activities against clinical isolates of Staphylococcus aureus. Likewise, phytochemical screening tests were conducted to determine some of the phytochemicals present in the ethanolic and water extracts of the samples. Various concentrations of the extracts were prepared using serial doubling dilutions (5000=l/ml, 2500=g/ml, 1250=g/ml, 625=g/ml and 312.5=g/ml). All the test extracts showed slight antibacterial activity against the test organism, with ethanolic extract of sample E having the highest zone diameter of inhibition, while sample H had the lowest diameter of inhibition. The standard antibiotic disc (Gentamicin) had demonstrated the highest activity on the test organisms. The results of the Phytochemical screening revealed the presence of steroid in all the samples, tannin in samples A, C, D and E, reducing sugars in sample A, D and E respectively. The result of the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) was found to be above 312.5=g/ml for samples C, D and E.     A survey for haemo-parasite of pigs slaughtered in Jos Abattoir plateau state Nigeria

    A survey for haemo-parasite of pigs slaughtered at the Jos Abattoir was carried out between May and November 2007, to determine the sex, age, breeds related incidence and possible risk factor(s) to the spread of infection using direct smear and staining technique. Out of the total of 532 pigs examined, 92(17.29%) were positive for four genera of protozoan parasites with Trypanosoma spp accounting for 10(1.88%), Babesia spp 23(4.32%), Anaplasma spp 17(3.20%), and Eperythrozoon spp 42(7.80%). The female pigs haboured more of the blood parasites, 50(9.40%), than the male pigs, 42(7.80%). The sex related rate of infection ranged from 1.5% - 4.51% and from 0.75% - 3.38% for female and male pigs respectively. However, chi square analysis shows no significant differences in the sex related prevalence of haemo-parasites (p0.05). The parasites established themselves more in the adult pigs, 79(18.8%) than in the young pigs 13(11.61%). The infection rates ranged from 0.89% to 5.36% and from 2.14% to 8.57% for adult and young pigs respectively. Chi square analysis shows a significant difference in the infection rate between  adult and young pigs (p0.05). The blood parasites encountered in the different breeds of pigs were as follows: 87(17.51%) in the large white, 2(17.51%) in the large black and 2(15.00%) in the mixed breed. There was no significant difference in the rates of infection among the different breeds of pigs (p0.05). Generally there was low rate of occurrence 17.29% for haemo parasites of pigs slaughtered at the Jos Abattoir.Keywords: Endemicity haemo-parasite, infection, pigs, rate

    ABSTRAKFaktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi belajar dapat memberikan dukungan yang positif dalam belajar, namun dapat juga menghambat proses belajar. Hambatan-hambatan yang terjadi berakibat pada hasil belajar individu yang mengalami proses belajar tidak sesuai dengan yang diinginkannya. Keadaan-keadaan tersebut berdampak pada timbulnya masalah pada proses belajar selanjutnya. Motivasi belajar siswa yang rendah akan menjadi hambatan yang sangat berarti pada proses pembelajaran, karena dapat mengakibatkan prestasi belajar siswa rendah. Oleh karena itu guru diharapkan dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa. Rendahnya motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa disebabkan siswa kurang diberikan kesempatan untuk bertanya dan menyampaikan pendapat. Metode pembelajaran ekspositori dan teknik drill dipercaya dapat menigkatkan motivasi belajarsehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kegiatan belajar IPA Fisika untuk memperbaiki hasil belajar selanjutnya. Karena metode ekspositori dan teknik drill memberikan kesempatan peserta didik untuk lebih aktif. Oleh karena itu penulis perlu melakukan penelitian Tindakan dengan judul Peningkatan Motivasi dan Hasil Belajar IPA Fisika Melalui Penerapan MetodeEkspositori dan Teknik Drill Kelas XI-TBSM  SMK  Negeri 1 Narmada  Kab. The obstacles that occur result in the learning outcomes of individuals who experience the learning process not in accordance with what they want. These circumstances have an impact on the emergence of problems in the subsequent learning process. Low student motivation will be a very significant obstacle in the learning process, because it can result in low student achievement. Therefore, teachers are expected to increase students' learning motivation to improve student achievement. The low motivation and student learning outcomes are caused by the lack of opportunities for students to ask questions and express opinions. Expository learning methods and drill techniques are believed to increase learning motivation so that it is expected to increase Physics Science learning activities to improve subsequent learning outcomes. Because the expository method and drill technique provide opportunities for students to be more active.     ABSTRAKBelajar merupakan suatu kegiatan kreatif. Belajar bukan berarti hanya menyerap tetapi juga mengkonstruk pengetahuan. Belajar IPA Fisika akan optimal jika siswa terlibat secara aktif dalam membuat, bukan hanya strategi penyelesaian, tetapi juga masalah yang membutuhkan strategi tersebut.Menurut Upu ( 2003:10 ) Problem Possing dapat dilakukan secara individu atau kalsikal ( classical ), berpasangan ( in pairs ), atau secara berkelompok( groups ). Masalah atau soal yang diajukan oleh siswa secara individu tidak memuat intervensi dari siswa ini. hal ini dapat mengakibatkan soal kurang berkembang atau kandungan informasinya kurang lengkap. Soal yang diajukan secara berpasangan dapat lebih berbobot dibanding soal yang diajukan secara individu, dengan syarat terjadi kolaborasi di antara kedua siswa yang berpasangan tersebut. Jika soal dirumuskan oleh suatu kelompok kecil ( tim ), maka kualitasnya akan lebih baik dari aspek tingkat keterselesaian maupun kandungan informasinya. Kerjasama diantara siswa dapat memacu kreativitas serta saling melengkapi kekurangan mereka.Pada pembelajaran kooperatif, siswa dibagi kedalam kelompok-kelompok kecil yang heterogen. Mereka akan bekerja sebagai sebuah tim untuk memahami materi pelajaran dan meyelesaikan tugas yang diberikan. Oleh karena itu penulis perlu melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan judul Peningkatkan Prestasi Belajar IPA Fisika dengan Menggunakan Pendekatan Problem  Possing  dengan Latar Pembelajaran Kooperatif Kelas XI-ADM.A SMK Negeri 1 NarmadaTahun Pelajaran 2017-2018. Kata Kunci: problem possing; cooperative learning; prestasi belajar. ABSTRACTLearning is a creative activity. Learning does not mean only absorbing but also constructing knowledge. Learning Science Physics will be optimal if students are actively involved in making, not only solving strategies, but also problems that require these strategies. According to Upu (2003:10) Problem Possing can be done individually or classically (classical), in pairs (in pairs), or in groups (groups). Problems or questions posed by students individually do not contain intervention from these students. this can result in less developed questions or incomplete information content. Questions posed in pairs can be more weighty than questions posed individually, provided that there is collaboration between the two students in pairs. If the questions are formulated by a small group (team), then the quality will be better in terms of the level of completion and information content. Cooperation among students can stimulate creativity and complement each other's shortcomings. In cooperative learning, students are divided into small, heterogeneous groups. They will work as a team to understand the subject matter and complete the assigned tasks.     Empirical Study Of Greenwashing Antecendent And Its Consequences On The Purchase Intention Of Environmental Friendly Products

    This study aims to examine the phenomenon of alleged greenwashing at PT Tirta Fresindo Jaya as the producer of Le Minerale bottled water with variables recommended in several previous studies, including Greenwashing, Skepticism, Confusion, Information and Knowledge, and Green Purchase Intention. The population in this research were the people of Central Java who know Le Minerale's disposable gallon products. The sample in this research was 233 respondents who were taken using a purpose random sampling method. Results of research conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) processed with AMOS software, it shows that: (1) Greenwashing has a significant positive effect on skepticism. (2) Greenwashing has a significant positive effect on Confusion. (3) Skepticism has no effect on green purchase intention. (4) Confusion has no effect on green purchase intention. (5) Skepticism does not mediate the effect of greenwashing on the green purchase intention. (6) Confusion does not mediate the effect of greenwashing on the green purchase intention. (7) Information and knowledge do not moderate the relationship of confusion to the green purchase intention

    Ground scintillometric investigations of parts of Kerri-Kerri formation, south – west Gombe, north - eastern Nigeria

    A ground scintillometric survey was carried out in the south - western part of the Kerri - Kerri Formation to identify areas of more prominent radioactive anomalies for further detailed spectrometric investigation. The total count rates recorded were generally higher in the south – western part of the study area. Analysis of the reduced data reveals the threshold activity value for the study area is 27.5 cps. Activities of more than twice the mode that will be of significance in terms of mineralization is 40 cps observed in the area north east of Tumu village with occurrence of granitic feldspar. The cosmic ray contribution to the ground activity measured in the field and used for the background correction is 4 cps. Detailed ground spectrometric investigation should be carried out in the area north – east of Tumu village to determine the radiometric mineralization potentials of the area and confirm if the radiation is due to the rocks or soil of the area.KEYWORDS: Scintillometric, Total count rates, Background correction, Threshold activity, Mineralization

    ABSTRAKMayoritas guru IPA Fisika saat ini masih menggunakan cara-cara konvensional dalam pembelajaran IPA Fisika. Pendekatan pembelajaran ini dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan tanya jawab. Kelebihan dan pendekatan ini adalah dapat mengajarkan materi yang relatif banyak dalam waktu yang singkat, tetapi pembelajaran ini memperlakukan siswa hanya sebagai objek sehingga siswa cenderung pasif dan hanya menerima pengetahuan dari gurunya saja. Pembelajaran konvensional hanya menyajikan materi IPA Fisika secara tekstual sehingga siswa kesulitan menerapkannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.Untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran IPA Fisika dibutuhkan pembelajaran yang merangsang siswa untuk melakukan pengamatan, penyelidikan serta mengolah informasi sehingga pada akhirnya siswa dapat memahami konsep secara bermakna. This learning approach is carried out using lecture and question and answer methods. Conventional learning only presents physics science material textually so that students have difficulty applying it in everyday life. To improve the quality of science learning physics requires learning that stimulates students to observe, investigate and process information so that in the end students can understand concepts meaningfully. Learning that emphasizes student activity and is student-centered is one of the efforts that can be made to improve the quality of learning science physics.     ABSTRAKPrestasi belajar adalah hasil atau akibat dari kegiatan belajar.Untuk mengetahui tentang prestasi belajar perlu dijelaskan tentang hakekat belajar.Belajar merupakan suatu proses yang dilakukan seseorang untuk memperoleh suatu perubahan tingkah laku yang baru secara keseluruhan,sebagai hasil pengalaman ( Slameto,1991).Dimana perubahan itu bersifat kontinyu dan fungsional,terjadi secara sadar,bersifat positif dan aktif,bukan bersifat sementara,bertujuan atau terarah,dan mencakup seluruh aspek tingkah laku yang selanjutnya dinamakan prestasi belajar. Prestasi belajar dapatdikatakan membekas atau konstan, jika perubahan yang terjadi akibatproses belajar tahan lama dan tidak terhapus begitu saja.Proses pembelajaran khususnya IPA Fisika  akan lebih efektifdan bermakna apabila siswa berpartisi aktif, dengan cara tidakmenunjukkan sikap pasif di dalam kelas maupun di luar kelas. Tetapisampai saat ini masih banyak terdengar keluhan bahwa mata pelajaranIPA Fisika  membosankan, tidak menarik, memusingkan yang cenderungmembuat siswa menjadi kurang merespon saat pelajaran berlangsung,bahkan ada siswa yang tidak masuk sekolah dikarenakan ada matapelajaran IPA Fisika . Kenyataan ini adalah suatu persepsi negatif terhadap IPA Fisika.Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA Fisika  adalah melalui pendekatan belajar tuntas (masterylearning).Oleh karena itu penulis perlu melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan judul Peningkatan Prestasi Belajar IPA Fisika  dengan Menerapkan Pembelajaran Tuntas(Mastery Learning ) Kelas XI-TKJ SMK Negeri 1 Narmada Kab. To know about learning achievement, it is necessary to explain about the nature of learning. Learning is a process carried out by a person to obtain a new behavior change as a whole, as a result of experience (Slameto, 1991). Where the changes are continuous and functional, occur consciously, are positive and active, not temporary, purposeful or directed, and cover all aspects of behavior, hereinafter referred to as learning achievement. Learning achievement can be said to be imprinted or constant, if the changes that occur as a result of the learning process are durable and not simply erased. The learning process, especially Physics Science, will be more effective and meaningful if students participate actively, by not showing a passive attitude in the classroom or outside the classroom. But until now, there are still many complaints that Physics Science subjects are boring, uninteresting, confusing which tends to make students less responsive during lessons, there are even students who don't go to school because there are Physics Science subjects. This fact is a negative perception of Science Physics. One way to improve student achievement in learning science physics is through a mastery learning approach. Therefore, the authors need to conduct classroom action research with the title Improving Physics Science Learning Achievement by Applying Mastery Learning for Class XI-TKJ SMK Negeri 1 Narmada Academic2019-2020 Year. Keywords: complete learning; mastery learning; learning achievement
