    La bibliografia actual sobre prosòdia mostra l'absència de corpus de parla extensos en llengua catalana i castellana que possibilitin l'estudi empíric de l'entonació d'aquests idiomes. El corpus Glissando pretén precisament omplir aquest buit i posar a l'abast de tothom gravacions de veu que permetin caracteritzar l'entonació de cada llengua, establir diferències segons diversos criteris (gènere, estil, registre, etc.) i ajudar en tasques docents relacionades amb la lingüística, l'expressió oral i la comunicació.La bibliografía actual sobre prosodia revela la ausencia de corpus de habla extensos en lengua catalana y castellana que posibiliten el estudio empírico de la entonación de estos idiomas. El corpus Glissando pretende precisamente llenar ese vacío y poner al alcance de todos los públicos grabaciones de voz que permitan caracterizar la entonación de cada lengua, establecer diferencias según distintos criterios (género, estilo, registro, etc.) y ayudar en tareas docentes relacionadas con la lingüística, la expresión oral y la comunicación.A literature review on prosody studies reveals a lack of Catalan and Spanish corpora. Glissando is a Spanish and Catalan corpus which intends not only to fill this gap but furthermore show the capabilities of extensive speech corpora for the empirical study of prosody. With the aid of this corpus, it will be possible to analyse differences due to linguistic and sociolinguistic criteria such as genre, speech style, and voice register.     Patterns of prominence, phrasing and tonal events in Spanish news reading : an illustrative case study

    The present study examines the patterns in stress, phrasing and intonation found in a Spanish corpus of news read by broadcasters to describe the prosodic strategies that can be considered as genre-distinguishing features. Results indicate that, firstly, the main stress modifications concern the upgrading of unstressed syllables to accented ones, the stress shift to mark word-initial boundaries and the maintenance of adjacent stresses. Secondly, the special features related to phrasing are unexpected pauses, which enhance the prosodic units that offer new information, and the prosodic marking of initial edges of groups with the aim of capturing the listener's attention. Finally, the most relevant tonal events that identify the typical chanting of broadcasters are a recurrent use of rises whose f0 peak coincides with the stressed syllable, a variety of non-falling pitch movements signalling intermediate phrasing, and the use of rising-falling pitch movements to signal ends. All the described prosodic and tonal strategies contribute to obtaining an emphatic style in news reading and are representative of a prosodically marked genre.El presente estudio examina los patrones más comunes en la estructura acentual, la organización prosódica y la entonación en un corpus de noticias leído por profesionales de la radio con el fin de describir las estrategias prosódicas que pueden considerarse como rasgos diferenciadores de un estilo propio. La anotación perceptiva de los fenómenos prosódicos permite, en primer lugar, establecer las principales modificaciones acentuales, que tienen que ver con la acentuación de sílabas átonas, el cambio de posición de acento para marcar el inicio de palabra y el mantenimiento de acentos en sílabas contiguas. En segundo lugar, la singularidad en la organización prosódica se relaciona con la aparición de pausas no justificadas por criterios sintácticos ni prosódicos, pero que enmarcan las unidades que ofrecen nueva información, y el realce del inicio de los grupos prosódicos con el objetivo de atraer la atención del oyente. Finalmente, los eventos tonales más relevantes que identifican la locución de los locutores profesionales son: el uso recurrente de acentos tonales ascendentes cuyo máximo de f0 coincide con la sílaba acentuada, una gran variedad de tonos de trayectoria no descendente en el límite de frases intermedias, y el uso de tonos circunflejos al final de los enunciados de entonación. Las estrategias descritas contribuyen a conseguir un estilo enfático y son representativas de un estilo de habla con esquemas prosódicos propios

    The relapsed acute lymphoblastic leukemia network (ReALLNet): a multidisciplinary project from the spanish society of pediatric hematology and oncology (SEHOP)

    Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is the most common pediatric cancer, with survival rates exceeding 85%. However, 15% of patients will relapse; consequently, their survival rates decrease to below 50%. Therefore, several research and innovation studies are focusing on pediatric relapsed or refractory ALL (R/R ALL). Driven by this context and following the European strategic plan to implement precision medicine equitably, the Relapsed ALL Network (ReALLNet) was launched under the umbrella of SEHOP in 2021, aiming to connect bedside patient care with expert groups in R/R ALL in an interdisciplinary and multicentric network. To achieve this objective, a board consisting of experts in diagnosis, management, preclinical research, and clinical trials has been established. The requirements of treatment centers have been evaluated, and the available oncogenomic and functional study resources have been assessed and organized. A shipping platform has been developed to process samples requiring study derivation, and an integrated diagnostic committee has been established to report results. These biological data, as well as patient outcomes, are collected in a national registry. Additionally, samples from all patients are stored in a biobank. This comprehensive repository of data and samples is expected to foster an environment where preclinical researchers and data scientists can seek to meet the complex needs of this challenging population.     La piedra mágica : un videojuego educativo orientado a la mejora de las habilidades comunicativas orales como ventana a la inclusión social

    "La piedra mágica" es, un videojuego que se ha diseñado como herramienta educativa dirigida al alumnado con Necesidades Específicas de Apoyo Educativo y, en particular, a personas con síndrome de Down. Pretende incrementar las habilidades comunicativas de estas personas a través de una mejora de su prosodia (entonación, fluidez, entre otras propiedades) y, consecuentemente, favorecer su inclusión social y laboral. Una de las principales novedades de "La piedra mágica" es su diseño interdisciplinar, ya que en este proyecto hemos colaborado lingüistas, psicolingüistas, ingenieros informáticos, pedagogos y filósofos para conseguir un entorno educativo complejo y adaptable. Es una herramienta que puede ser empleada de manera autónoma o supervisada y que almacena un historial de seguimiento de cada jugador, de manera que los profesionales pueden acceder a los datos de cada alumno y observar su desarrollo fomentando aquellas carencias más destacadas en cada perfil. Uno de los aspectos más originales de la herramienta es que el jugador se comunica con el resto de personajes del videojuego con su propia voz, lo que le motiva y ayuda a mejorar su capacidad comunicativa.     Applying a fuzzy classifier to generate Sp ToBI annotation : preliminar results

    One of the goals of the Glissando research project1 is to enrich a radio news corpus [1] with Sp ToBI labels. In this paper we present the application of the automatic predictions of a fuzzy classifier to speed up the labeling process. The strategy is proposed after completing the following steps: a) manual annotation of a part of the Glissando corpus with Sp ToBI labels and checking of the coherence of the labels; b) training of the automatic system; c) validation or correction of the automatic system's predictions by a human expert. The automatic judgments of the classifier are enriched with confidence measures that are useful to represent uncertain situations concerning the label to be assigned. The main aim of the paper is to show that there exists a correspondence between the uncertain situations that are identified during an inter-transcriber experiment and the uncertain situations that the fuzzy classifier detects.     Haploidentical vs. HLA-matched donor hematopoietic stem-cell transplantation for pediatric patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in second remission: A collaborative retrospective study of the Spanish Group for Bone Marrow Transplantation in Children (GETMON/GETH) and the Spanish Childhood Relapsed ALL Board (ReALLNet)

Methods: We compared outcomes of children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) undergoing SCT in second complete remission (CR2) from haploidentical (n = 25) versus HLA-matched donor (n = 51). Results: Patients were equally distributed across both groups according to age, immunophenotype, time to and site of relapse, relapse risk-group allocation, and minimal residual disease (MRD) before SCT. Incidence of graft failure, acute graft versus host disease (GVHD), and other early complications did not differ between both groups. We found no differences in overall survival (58.7% versus 59.5%; p = .8), leukemia free survival (LFS) (48% versus 36.4%; p = .5), event free survival (40% versus 34.4%; p = .69), cumulative incidence (CI) of subsequent relapse (28% versus 40.9%; p = .69), treatment related mortality (24% versus 23.6%; p = .83), CI of cGVHD (4.5% versus 18.7%; p = .2), and chronic GVHD-free and leukemia-free survival (44% versus 26.3%; p = .3) after haploidentical donor SCT. Chronic GVHD (HR = 0.09; p=.02) had protective impact, and MRD ≥ 0.01% before SCT (HR = 2.59; p=.01) had unfavorable impact on LFS. Discussion: These results support the role of haploidentical donor SCT in children with ALL in CR2
