Spatial analysis of heavy metals in mangrove estuary at east coast peninsular Malaysia: a preliminary study

The objectives of this preliminary study are to determine heavy metal concentration in mangrove estuary and to identify spatial patterns in the water quality based on heavy metals concentration. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) were selected to analyze the dataset of six heavy metal parameters namely: Ni, Cu, Pb, Cd, As and Zn. PCA results show that the major source of water pollution in mangrove estuary is mostly due to the agriculture activities surface runoff. ANN results show a better prediction performance in discriminating between the regions with an excellent percentage of correct classification.This study presents the obligation and expediency of environmetric for the understanding of datasets directing to gain better information about water quality patterns in mangrove estuary based on spatial characterizations at the selected monitoring stations.Keywords: marine water quality; PCA; ANN; heavy metal; mangrov

CAMPUR KODE DALAM ANIMASI SINOPAL KARYA NAUFAL FAIDURRZAK DAN IMPLIKASINYA

Pada penilitian ini penulis tertarik untuk menganalisis bentuk kesalahan bidang morfologis yang ditemukan pada kanal youtube animasi sinopal karya Naufal Faidurrazak. Hadirnya campur kode dan alih kode terhadap penggunaan Bahasa Indonesia dalam penayangan video animasi online sinopal menjadikan salah satu daya tarik tersendiri. Namun, sangat disayangkan apabila dalam perkembangannya, pergeseran dan perubahan bentuk Bahasa Indonesia sendiri tidak murni dan terkesan banyak yang diubah dan diplesetkan maupun banyak kata-kata dalam Bahasa Indonesia yang asal-muasalnya adalah bahasa serapan. Inilah yang menjadikan dasar akan penelitian ini, penelitian yang bergerak dengan menganalisis campur kode Bahasa Indonesia dalam tayangan video animasi sinopal. Bahasa Indonesia merupakan bahasa baku yang digunakan oleh animasi ini, tetapi demi memberikan kesan yang baik, inovatif, lucu, dan menghibur sang pengarang menambahkan bahasa-bahasa Sunda, Inggris, Korea, dan bahasa-bahasa dari berbagai daerah yang biasa digunakan. Analisis Kesalahan Bidang Morfologis Pemberitaan Ferdy Sambo di Kompas.com serta Implikasinya dalam Menyusun Teks Berita di SMP

In this study, the author is interested in analyzing the form of morphological field errors contained in the Ferdy Sambo news on kompas.com. The still warm topic discussed and also the interesting studies related to the morphological field are one of the reasons that make researchers take the title of this research. This study aims to (1) find out what language errors in the field of morphology are found in the online news portal, namely kompas.com in the realm of news coverage of the ferdy sambo case. (2) Describe how the morphological process contained in the news of ferdy sambo on kompas.com (3) Provide an overview of how the implications of the findings of the morphological process in the material for compiling news texts in junior high school. This research uses qualitative method by producing descriptive data analysis. The data collection technique was done by listening, noting and documentation. While the data analysis technique used agih method, which is classified into two basic techniques and advanced techniques In this study, 48 data were found from 20 reports by Ferdy Sambo with the January-February publications. Of the 48 data obtained, 1 affixation error was found with details of 10 prefix errors, 4 suffix errors and 4 confix errors. In addition to affixation errors, there were also 9 reduplication errors, 9 words were found in abbreviation or shortening errors. While compositional or compounding errors were found to be 5 words, pleonasm errors were 2 words and errors in writing basic words were 5 words

Tindak Tutur Direktif Dalam Poster Demonstrasi Mahasiswa Menolak Kenaikan Bbm Di Media Sosial Dan Implikasi Dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia

Demonstration is a form of protest where a group gathers to express their opinions or dissatisfaction regarding a specific issue. Demonstrations are usually held in public places such as streets, parks, or government buildings with the aim of drawing attention from the public, media, or authorities. The most captivating aspect of a protest demonstration is often the words displayed on posters. Many of these words contain directive speech acts. The objectives of this research are: 1) to identify the forms of directive speech acts in student protest posters against the increase in fuel prices on social media, 2) to identify the intended meanings of the directive speech acts found in student protest posters against the increase in fuel prices on social media, 3) to explain the implications of student protest posters against the increase in fuel prices on Indonesian language learning in junior high schools. The primary data source for this research is online news articles sharing student protest posters against the fuel price increase on Instagram, while the secondary data consists of articles related to directive speech acts. The data collection technique involves observation, note-taking, and documentation. The data analysis technique employs the Distribution and Referential Parity methods. The results of this research indicate that: 1) Out of the 40 analyzed data, there were 14 instances of imperative directive speech acts. There were 6 instances of prohibitive directive speech acts. There were 5 instances of requestive directive speech acts. There were 6 instances of hortative directive speech acts. There were 3 instances of demandive directive speech acts. There were 2 instances of coercive directive speech acts. There were 3 instances of suggestory directive speech acts, including the use of one-word phrases, non-solutions, and "increase." There was 1 instance of threatening directive speech act, indicated by the use of a preceding word. 2) The intended meanings of directive speech acts in the protest posters against the fuel price increase were as follows: 14 instances of imperative directive speech acts, 6 instances of prohibitive directive speech acts, 5 instances of requestive directive speech acts, 6 instances of hortative directive speech acts, 3 instances of demandive directive speech acts, 2 instances of coercive directive speech acts, and 1 instance of threatening directive speech act. The protest posters against the fuel price increase on social media can be utilized as teaching materials for Indonesian language in 8th-grade junior high school according to the Learning Objectives (Capaian Pembelajaran), specifically related to the elements of comprehending and interpreting posters, where students can understand the content of posters accurately. The teaching materials derived from this research can be linked to the teaching module of the Merdeka Curriculum

Short stories have their own uniqueness to be studied for their language and their use as alternative teaching materials in the learning on Indonesian in high schools based on the grammatical and lexical cohesion contained therein. In a short story entitled Tenung and Lelaki Ketujuh, many grammatical and lexical cohesions are found. This study aims to (1) Describe the forms of grammatical and lexical cohesion aspects in two short stories by Fandrik Ahmad entitled Tenung and Lelaki Ketujuh. (2) Describe the relevance of the use of two short stories by Fandrik Ahmad entitled Tenung and Lelaki Ketujuh as teaching materials in high school. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research type. The data source used in this study is a short story discourse entitled Tenung and Lelaki Ketujuh by Fandrik Ahmad. The results of the research from the two short stories entitled Tenung Lelaki Ketujuh by Fandrik Ahmad found 50 markers of grammatical aspects consisting of 24 data found references, 2 data substitutions, 5 data ellipsis, and 19 data conjunctions. Meanwhile, 17 lexical markers were found which consisted of 5 repetitions, 3 synonyms, 5 antonyms, and 6 hyponyms. The results of this study are associated with learning Indonesian in class XII SHS in accordance with basic competencies 3.3 and 4.3

Kohesi Leksikal Dan Gramatikal Novel Sepasang Angsa Putih Untuk Palupi Karya Marlina Kuswanti Dan Implikasinya Bagi Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia

The novel A Pair of White Swans for Palupi is interesting to explore in terms of lexical cohesion and grammatical cohesion because in understanding a novel, it is not enough just to understand the meaning of the words. However, it must be equipped with supporting knowledge, such as knowledge about the cohesiveness and harmony of text forms. The aims of this study are 1) to describe the forms of lexical cohesion in the novel A Pair of White Swans for Palupi by Marliana Kusmawanti, 2) to describe the forms of grammatical cohesion in the novel A Pair of White Swans for Palupi by Marliana Kusmawanti, 3) to describe the implications of the results of lexical and grammatical cohesion studies in its implementation in learning Indonesian in high school. This research is a qualitative research. Of the 236 pages, there are 74 cohesion data in the novel A Pair of White Swans for Palupi by Marlina Kuswanti. From the 74 data found, there are 45 novel lexical cohesion data with details as follows: (1) 21 repetition data, (2) 12 synonym data. (3) antonymy of 6 data, (4) collocation of 2 data, (5) hyponymy of 2 data, and (6) 2 data of equivalence. There are 31 grammatical cohesion data in Marlina Kuswanti's novel A Pair of White Swans for Palupi, there are several grammatical aspects with the following details: (1) 9 data references, (2) 3 substitution data. (3) ellipses with 2 data, and (4) conjunctions with 17 data. This research can be used as a reference in learning Indonesian, especially in the subject matter of language because this research examines aspects of lexical and grammatical cohesio
