Research on Translation Strategies of Foreign-oriented Publicity Translation from the Perspective of Intercultural Communication
With the rapid development of Chinese economy, the foreign-oriented publicity translation becomes increasingly significant. The purpose of foreign-oriented publicity is to show a real China to the overseas and establish a great national image. Foreign-oriented publicity translation has become an important medium for spreading Chinese culture. Apart from following the standards of âfaithfulness, expressiveness and eleganceâ, translators of publicity literature should be guided by the criteria of âthree closenessâ, which caters for the reality of Chinaâs development, foreign audienceâ needs for authentic Chinese information and foreign audiencesâ thinking habits. Finally, translators should have the awareness of intercultural communication and ensure the effective implementation of intercultural communication by flexible omission, addition and adaptation
An Analysis of the Legal Regime of Delisting in China
The legal regime of delisting is one of organic constituents of securities legal framework. This article, based on the reviews of delisting development in China, has briefly analyzed the content of delisting legal system: the delisting standard and the delisting procedure, and put forward several suggestions in consummating the delisting legal regime. Learning Robust and Discriminative Subspace With Low-Rank Constraints
IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning SystemsThe article of record as published may be found at http://dx.doi.org/10.1109/tnnls.2015.2464090In this paper, we aim at learning robust and discriminative subspaces from noisy data. Subspace learning is widely used in extracting discriminative features for classifica- tion. However, when data are contaminated with severe noise, the performance of most existing subspace learning methods would be limited. Recent advances in low-rank modeling provide effective solutions for removing noise or outliers contained in sample sets, which motivates us to take advantage of low-rank constraints in order to exploit robust and discriminative subspace for classification. In particular, we present a discriminative subspace learning method called the supervised regularization- based robust subspace (SRRS) approach, by incorporating the low-rank constraint. SRRS seeks low-rank representations from the noisy data, and learns a discriminative subspace from the recovered clean data jointly. A supervised regularization function is designed to make use of the class label information, and therefore to enhance the discriminability of subspace. Our approach is formulated as a constrained rank-minimization problem. We design an inexact augmented Lagrange multiplier optimization algorithm to solve it. Unlike the existing sparse representation and low-rank learning methods, our approach learns a low-dimensional subspace from recovered data, and explicitly incorporates the supervised information. Our approach and some baselines are evaluated on the COIL-100, ALOI, Extended YaleB, FERET, AR, and KinFace databases. The exper- imental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach, especially when the data contain considerable noise or variations.Funded by Naval Postgraduate SchoolNational Science Foundation Computer and Network SystemsONR Young InvestigatorOffice of Naval ResearchU.S. Army Research Office Young Investigato
First Abundance Measurement of Organic Molecules in the Atmosphere of HH 212 Protostellar Disk
HH 212 is one of the well-studied protostellar systems, showing the first
vertically resolved disk with a warm atmosphere around the central protostar.
Here we report a detection of 9 organic molecules (including newly detected
ketene, formic acid, deuterated acetonitrile, methyl formate, and ethanol) in
the disk atmosphere, confirming that the disk atmosphere is, for HH 212, the
chemically rich component, identified before at a lower resolution as a
"hot-corino". More importantly, we report the first systematic survey and
abundance measurement of organic molecules in the disk atmosphere within
40 au of the central protostar. The relative abundances of these molecules are
similar to those in the hot corinos around other protostars and in Comet
Lovejoy. These molecules can be either (i) originally formed on icy grains and
then desorbed into gas phase or (ii) quickly formed in the gas phase using
simpler species ejected from the dust mantles. The abundances and spatial
distributions of the molecules provide strong constraints on models of their
formation and transport in star formation. These molecules are expected to form
even more complex organic molecules needed for life and deeper observations are
needed to find them.Comment: 12 pages, 4 figure
