    Predictors of Social Entrepreneurial Intention in Undergraduate Students in Padang City

    The purpose of this study was to analyze the antecedents of social entrepreneurial intention among students. This research involved 250 respondents from various public and private universities in the city of Padang. Multiple regression analysis techniques were used to analyze the data. The results showed that self- efficacy, prosocial motivation, and intrinsic motivation had significant positive effects on social entrepreneurial intention. Student confidence in succeeding in establishing a social enterprise was very influential for social entrepreneurial intention. The novelty of this research is that it involved an element of Minangkabau culture in the consideration of social entrepreneurial intention, in terms of Minangkabau women in the city of Padang. The findings indicated that Minangkabau female students were interested in and concerned with social problems. Other theories that are relevant to the topic of social entrepreneurial intention also need to be examined to broaden the understanding of social entrepreneurship. This research focused on the social entrepreneurial intention of students, but further research should include respondents who are female Minangkabau entrepreneurs. In addition, it is necessary to analyze gender differences in the context of cultural differences, especially in developed and developing countries.     The Correlation Between Total Quality Management Practices and Employees' Job Performance: Basis for Proposed Sustainable TQM Strategies

    The main purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between Total Quality Management (TQM) success factors implementation and the employees’ job performance of an oil company located in the province of Batangas, Philippines in order to propose TQM strategies that could further sustain the implementation of the practices. The 100 employees selected through purposive sampling are the participants of the study. The validated questionnaire was administered through electronic data surveying. Data were statistically treated with the techniques used such as measure of central tendency to determine the participants’ demographic profile, assessment of the TQM success factors and the effect of TQM to the employees’ job performance, and Pearson correlation coefficient to determine the relationship between the implementation of TQM success factors and employee job performance. The results indicated that employees strongly agree that all the eight success factors of TQM are visibly implemented in the company. Among the eight success factors, it is training and development, quality culture and customer focus which garnered the highest ratings. For the effect of TQM in the job performance, it was revealed that the employees consider the TQM implementation with respect to doing their excellent performance in their jobs. Lastly, there is a significant relationship between the implementation of TQM success factors and employee job performance. This findings give an implication that oil companies may consider the full implementation and decide on proper application of the success factors to their organization as these are significantly affecting the job performance of the employees.     Purpose/Background: This paper provides a systematic review of previous articles, books, and online news with a specific focus on Muslim tourists’ experiential value, Islamic attributes, and halal tourist destinations. Methodology: This paper reviews literature reviews of journal articles, conference proceedings, and books interrelated with the keywords and the research field. Main Findings: The review findings suggest that tourists’ satisfaction is crucial in determining destination loyalty and the decision of revisiting certain destinations. Satisfaction should be used to assess the performance of destinations’ products and services as Muslim tourists may take into account the availability of facilities tailored to cater their religious and personal needs but they will feel most satisfied when performance exceeds necessities. Application: The findings from this review will benefit those in the tourism-related industries and policymakers. The specific identification of certain elements influencing the Muslim tourists’ preferences would help the service providers to offer attractive packages that meet the tourist’ expectations. Limitations: This paper has its limitations as the data was obtained from tourists visiting several locations in Bandung, Padang, and Lombok, Indonesia. To obtain generalized findings with regards to tourists’ views of the issue, a larger sampling is recommended. Novelty/Originality: This paper is significant as it focuses on Halal tourism by highlighting Muslim experiential values in halal tourist destinations as previous studies were focused on products and shopping malls.     Antecedents of Tourist Satisfaction With Marine Tourism in West Sumatra

    Tourist satisfaction can lead to positive word of mouth communication about a destination, which can bring in more business. The current study aimed to identify the role of the 7Ps of marketing mix on tourist satisfaction. A cross-sectional study design was employed to collect data from local tourists visiting West Sumatra. A total of 300 respondents participated. Data were analyzed by SmartPLS 3.3.7 by evaluating structural equational modelling. Findings revealed that all of the elements of the marketing mix had a strong relationship with tourist satisfaction, except for the place. The results suggested that the tourists in West Sumatra are somewhat satisfied but satisfaction can be upgraded to a higher level if proper management with respect to place is improved.     A Review on Hybrid Work and Work Performance During Post-Pandemic

    The purpose of this article review is to investigate the relationship between hybrid work and work performance post-pandemic Covid-19. The analysis is based on several publications pertaining to the impact of the post-COVID-19 pandemic on the perspective on hybrid work and work performance. A search in the Google Scholar database using the search string [”Hybrid work” AND “Work Performance” AND ”Post Pandemic”] was conducted in September 2022. Several documents were then filtered based on the criteria needed according to the PRISMA stages, such as year of publication, subject areas, type of document, category of access, and English language. Data was gathered from relevant papers published during the post-pandemic that occurred from 2020 to 2022 in the field of human resources, management, social science and humanities. After being reviewed for eligibility, only the most pertinent documents were chosen for further investigation.     Tourist satisfaction in aesthetic qualities of islands in east coast region in Malaysia

    This study deals with aesthetic qualities in island tourism on the East Coast of Malaysia. The beauty of the island is undeniable, which the record of tourist arrivals is very encouraging. However, the island's main strengths have yet to be discovered. It is unclear what is the primary aesthetic qualities contribute to tourist satisfaction. Factors that entice tourists to return must be understood in order for their loyalty to continue to visit. Hence, this study investigates the relationship between aesthetic qualities (cleanliness, scenery, art/architecture, and genuineness) and tourist Satisfaction. This research aims to determine whether aesthetic qualities affect tourist satisfaction in Malaysia's East Coast islands. This study used the questionnaire survey and collected 150 responses (39% response rate) from tourists who had visited any of Malaysia's East Coast islands in the past three years. Through IBM-SPSS version 24, the multiple regression analysis reveals that all aesthetic qualities (cleanliness, scenery, art/architecture, and genuineness) contributed to tourist satisfaction when visiting the East Coast region's islands. The findings aimed to raise public awareness about the importance of the sustainability concept while also benefiting a large number of stakeholders

To review this written report, tourism growth is proxy with the number of tourist arrivals (LAR). While the economic consumption of income from tourism (LPAD) is utilized as a placeholder for the increase of tourism as the research. The significance of this research is the maturation of the tourism sector, which is more grievous in the hope it can contribute significantly to the economic and social development of the country in question.     Perubahan secara demografis pada angkatan kerja di beberapa negara di  antara lain berupa bertambahnya kaum ibu yang bekerja, meningkatknya masalah masalah keluarga – pekerjaan di dalam lingkungan kerja. Walaupun   work family conflict  (konflik keluarga –pekerjaan) dikenal sebagai masalah pria dan wanita, namun isu tersebut berlanjut hingga penempatan tanggung jawab bagi wanita karier. Perbedaan tanggung jawab disebabkanoleh peranan wanita secara tradisional, yang semula dianggap harus lebih bertanggung jawab daripada pria dalam masalah-masalah rumah tangga. Tanggung jawab wanita yang besar terhadap pekerjaan dan keluarga menimbulkan apa yang di sebut dengan stress,ketidak puasan kerja, absensi, perputaran kerja.     Determinants of Employee Performance at Public Health Centers

    Employee performance has become the center of attention for academics and practitioners. However, until now, the determinants of employee performance are still being debated. This study investigates the determinants of employee performance at public health center. The population of this study was all employees at the health center in the Kuranji sub-district, Padang, West Sumatra, totaling 118 employees. In data analysis, this research uses SEM-PLS software. This study found that organizational culture had a positive and significant effect on work motivation and organizational commitment but had no effect on employee performance. Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment and employee performance. Furthermore, organizational commitment also positively and significantly influences employee performance
