    The effect of z-binding yarns on the electrical properties of 3D woven composites

    Electrical resistance monitoring (ERM) has been used to study the effect of the z-binding yarns on the initial electrical resistance (ER) and its change of three architectures of 3D woven carbon fibre composites namely (orthogonal “ORT”, layer-to-layer “LTL” and angle interlock “AI”) when tested in tension. Specimens are loaded in on-axis “warp” and off-axis “45°” directions. In-situ ERM is achieved using the four-probe technique. Monotonic and cyclic “load/unload” tests are performed to investigate the effect of piezo-resistivity and residual plasticity on resistance variation. The resistance increase for the off-axis loaded specimens (∼90%) is found to be higher than that of their on-axis counterparts (∼20%). In the case of cyclic testing, the resistance increase upon unloading is irreversible which suggests permanent damage presence not piezo-resistive effect. At the moment, it is difficult to obtain a direct correlation between resistance variation and damage in 3D woven composites due to the complexity of the conduction path along the three orthogonal directions, however this study demonstrates the potential of using ERM for damage detection in 3D woven carbon fibre-based composites and highlights the challenges that need to be overcome to establish ERM as a Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) technique for such material systems

In conducting its business, the Panin Bank's product namely SMART Integration compete with others who have similar products. To face the competition so that product development strategy is needed to achieve corporate goals. The purpose of this study was to determine the company's strategic alternatives in developing SMART products Panin using SWOT analysis. This research is a descriptive study with qualitative data support. Data collection techniques gained through in-depth interviews as well as real data in the field of internal and external. Based on the results of the SWOT analysis, the resulting nine alternative strategy, namely (1) Carry out a good promotional activities so that potential customers know SMART Panin; (2) Maintain and improve the position of the national rankings in order to improve the bank's reputation in the eyes of the public; (3) Making changes more flexible system in particular in the field of revenue assurance; (4) Increase the number of KCU order to facilitate prospective customers when credit agreement; (5) Conduct an attractive promotions that keep customers willing to put their money in the bank; (6) provide an interesting variety of products as well as competitive rates; (7) Taking more policy refers to the ease of customers; (8) Improving and promoting attractive; (9) Continuously innovate as a form of readiness to compete with other banks

    Background : Nowadays, colorectal cancer was more oftenly found on patient in younger age which had worse prognosis than in older patient. Adenocarcinoma was a type of colorectal cancer which was oftenly found. Differentiation degree was a factor influenced colorectal cancer prognosis. The purpose of this study was to show that there was difference in differentiation degree of Adenocarcinoma colorectal between young, middle, and old age.Method : It was an observational analytic retrospective studies with cross sectional method. Patient\u27s medical records with diagnosis adenocarcinoma colorectal from Kariadi Hospital Semarang were classified into three groups, young age (≤40 years old), middle age(41-60 years old), and old age(>60 years old). Then, differentiation degree were noted . It was analyzed by chi-square test.Result : Analysis between age and differentiation degree shows that there is a significant difference with p=0,01. It also shows that the younger patient they are found the most in moderate-poorly differentiation degree, and the least they are found in well differentiation degree.Conclusion : There is a significant difference in differentiation degree of adenocarcinoma colorectal between young, middle, and old age in Dr Kariadi Hospital Semarang

    Background : Delayed treatments made bone fracture cases more difficult and required more intensive treatments. The Jamkesmas program was created to give the poor and the needy easy access to get health services.Aims : To analyze factors related to the delayed treatment on bone fracture patients who used Jamkesmas payment method in dr. Kariadi Hospital in Semarang.Methods : The type of this research is observational analysis with cross sectional design. The research was held from May 2012 until June 2012, at the Surgery in-patient installation of dr. Kariadi Hospital in Semarang. Interviews were conducted to patients by using questionnaires. Chi Square and Fischer exact test were used for the statistical test.Results : There are 90% of patients who do not have delayed treatment (< 72 hours) and 10% who have delayed treatment (> 72 hours). Most patients have low level of education (72%), sufficient level of knowledge about bone fracture (55,1%), good level of knowledge about Jamkesmas (69%), have good attitude toward bone fracture (96,6%), and have medical behaviors in searching for initial treatment of bone fracture (82,8%). Most of health facilities are affordable (96,9%). There is a significance between patient behaviors in searching for initial treatment of bone fracture (p<0.05) with the delayed treatment on patients who use Jamkesmas. There is no significance between the level of education (p>0.05), level of bone fracture knowledge (p>0.05), level of Jamkesmas knowledge (p>0.05), the affordable health facilities (p>0.05) and attitude toward bone fracture (p>0.05) with the delayed treatment on patients who used Jamkesmas.Conclusion : The patient behaviors in searching for initial treatment of bone fracture has a significant relationship with the delayed treatment on bone fracture patients who used Jamkesmas

    Effect of ultrafine grinding and ultrasonication duration on the performance of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) agave gigantea cellulose micro fiber (CMF) bio-composite film

    This paper aims to assess the effect of ultrafine grinding and ultrasonication treatment on the bio-composite characteristics of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) Agave gigantea (AG) Cellulose Micro Fiber (CMF) bio-composite film performance. This study included five different types of samples. FESEM investigation of PVA/CMF revealed a fiber diameter of 10–15 μm. According to X-ray diffraction, the CMF bio-composite has the highest crystallinity index (87%). The bio-composite film was as transparent as the pure PVA film, demonstrating that the CMF was uniformly dispersed throughout the film. Tensile testing revealed that the ultrafine grinding and ultrasonication treatment for 2 h (PVA/U2) increased tensile strength by 43% compared to the untreated PVA/CMF sample. This finding is confirmed by thermogravimetry analysis (TGA) and derivative (DTG) analyses, which show that the PVA/U2 sample has the most significant degree of thermal stability when compared to other samples. An ANOVA output supports the results of this experiment with an R2 value of 0.94600232 at a 95% confidence level. The p-value of 0.000079 and F-value of 10.80004 for ultrafine grinding and ultrasonication duration on AG leaf-based PVA bio-composite revealed a statistically significant influence on the studied parameters

    Tujuan utama dari teknologi adalah membantu untuk mempermudah pekerjaan dan menyelesaikan permasalahan manusia. Dalam bidang kesehatan, klinik merupakan organisasi yang mengelola data dokter dan pasien, pendaftaran untuk pemeriksaan pasien, rekam medis, pengambilan nomor antrian dan kegiatan lainnya. Studi kasus dalam penelitian ini adalah klinik yang melakukan semua kegiatan tersebutdengan secara manual yaitu sebagai contoh pendaftaran pasien masih menggunakan cara manual. Kemudian untuk pendaftaran pemeriksaan juga harus datang terlebih dahulu dan antri untuk mendapatkan nomor urut pemeriksaan. Nomor urut antrian masih menggunakan cara manual yaitu dengan memanggil secara manual oleh petugas. Medical record juga masih menggunakan cara manual yaitu dengan menulis pada kertas atau buku rekam medis sehingga tidak efektif dan efisien. Solusi adalah aplikasi E-Klinik, dengan tujuan utama untuk memudahkan dalam memanajemen sebuah klinik. Pembuatan aplikasi ini menggunakan metode waterfall. Langkah-langkah dari metode ini yaitu pengumpulan data, membuat analisa kebutuhan sistem, desain database, testing, dan implementasi. Penelitian ini menghasikan rancang bangun aplikasi E-Klinik meliputi sistem antrian, manajemen data pasien dan dokter dan juga data rekam medis.________________________________________________________________AbstarctThe rapid development of technology has targeted all areas of human life. This is because technology is very important and helps to facilitate human work. One of them is in the health sector, especially in the management of a clinic. Such as registration activities for patient examinations, medical records, retrieval of queue numbers and other activities. For most clinics these activities are still done manually, for example the registration of patients still using manual methods. Then for the registration of the examination must also come in advance and queue to get the inspection serial number. There are still many sequential numbers using the manual method, namely by manually calling by the officer. Furthermore, in the medical record also still using manual methods, namely by writing on paper or medical record books so that it is not effective and efficient. Seeing this, the solution that can be given is by making an E-Clinic application that will facilitate the management of a clinic.Making this application uses the waterfall method. The steps of this method are data collection, system requirements analysis, database design, testing, and implementation.
