    Application of Large-Scale 3D Non-Orthogonal Boundary Fitted Sediment Transport Model and Small-Scale Approach for Offshore Structure in Cimanuk Delta North Java Sea

    The morphology of the Cimanuk Delta at the North Java Sea has changed rapidly over the last two decades. The annual sediment deposition is about two million cubic meters (Yuanita and Tingsanchali, [1]). The large-scale ocean hydrodynamics and sediment transport model MuSed3D (Muin, [2]) was applied to the North Java Sea to simulate suspended sediment transport at the study site. A potential offshore structure was positioned at approximately 30 km from the Cimanuk Delta. The result of the large-scale model was calibrated using observation data and Landsat satellite image interpretation. The agreement between the modeling results and the observations was excellent. It was found that the critical shear stresses for erosion and deposition were 0.1 Pa and 0.05 Pa respectively. An empirical formula was further utilized to assess the local scouring at the potential offshore structure site in a small-scale domain and under extreme conditions

    Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Pendekatan Struktural Think Pair Square untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas Viic Smpit Az-zuhra Pekanbaru

    This classroom action research is aimed at improving learning process and improving mathematics learning outcomes by implementing Cooperative Learning with Structural Think Pair Square Approach. The research subjects are 24 heterogenous academic ability level students of the VIIC class of Islamic Junior High School Az-Zuhra Pekanbaru in academic year of 2015/2016. The research consisted of two cycles in which each cycle consisted of four phases, i.e; namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. By the end of a cycle, daily test was held. The data was collected by means of observation and daily test. The action success indicators were if there is learning process improvement and the increasing number of students passing Minimum Completeness Criteria (MCC) in daily test I and daily test II. The research shows that teachers and students' activities were conducted well as planned. Most of the students participated actively in the learning process e.g. discussing, presenting student's worksheet, responding to classmate's presentation, and drawing the lesson conclusion. Additionally, the students afforded to answer the written test given by teacher well. Therefore, it can be said that improvement of learning process took place in every meeting. Furthermore, the number of students passing the MCC on base score, daily test I (first cycle), daily test II (second cycle) were respectively 9 students (35%), 10 students (41,67%), dan 17 students (70,83%). The percentage of MCC achievement also indicates the increase after the implementation, thus it can be said that the students' learning outcomes also increase. Finally, the research also shows that cooperative learning with structural Think Pair Square approach can improve mathematic learning process and learning outcomes of VIIC class students at Islamic Junior High School Az-Zuhra Pekanbaru

    The research aims to develop inquiry learning materials to facilitate science process skills and science concept mastery the junior high school students in energy and works matter. The research was conducted through two phase that is development phase by using 4-D models and implementation phase using one group pretest-posttest design. Data collection methods used test and observation, while the data analysis techniques using inferential parametric, quantitative descriptive, and qualitative descriptive. The result were obtained: the devices that have been developed are generally categorized as well; RPP performing well; activity is the dominant doing observation; The results also showed that mean of N-gain score mastery of concepts in high category; science process skills in high category; students mastery of the concept after learning improving; students responses to learning a positive model of inquiry. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the develop inquiry learning materials effective that can be applied in learning activities in grade VIII of SMP

    : Given the high prevalence in patients with type 2 diabetes where the incidence of 650.000 new cases each year. In type-2, the pancreas does not make enough insulin to keep blood sugar levels remain normal, often because the body does not respond well to insulin. Most people do not realize had been suffering from type 2 diabetes, although the situation has become very serious. Type 2 diabetes has become a commonly experienced in the world and in Indonesia, and the numbers continue to grow due to unhealthy lifestyles, obesity and lazy to exercise. Purpose: To determine how the image of risk factors in patients with type 2 diabetes in the clinic Endocrine and Metabolic Section / SMF FK-UNSRAT BLU RSU Prof. Dr. R.D. Manado Kandou the period of May-October2011. Methods: This type of research is a descriptive study using secondary data. Population of type 2 DM patients who come for treatment at the Polyclinic Endocrine and Metabolic Section / SMF FK-UNSRAT BLU RSU Prof.Dr. R.D. Kandou Manado the period of May - October 2011. The number of samples of 138 patients comprising 60 men and 78 women. Result: The case of DM Tiipe 2 in Endocrine and Metabolic Clinic ever found in women than in men. Acquired risk factors for type 2 diabetes mellitus is a BMI> 23 ever found in an obese BMI groups 1 (25-29,9) of 37 patients, patients with stage 1 hypertension (130-159/80-99 mmHg) obtained by 80 patients , patients with dyslipidaemia as many as 22 patients, patients with a family history of as many as 45 patients, patients with age> 40 years as many as 130 patients, and patients who have risk factors for most of the patients with 3 risk factors as many as 74 patients. Conclusion: Risk factors affecting the incidence of type 2 diabetes mellitus in Endocrine and Metabolic Clinic is a BMI> 23, hypertension> 140/90 mmHg, family history,age> 40 years, dyslipidemia

    Produktivitas Ayam Broiler dengan Pemberian Tepung Singkong Fermentasi

    A study was conducted to investigate the effect of cassava meal fermented to productivity of broiler chickens. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications, each redication was filled with 3 chicks so that the number of chicks in this study was 60 chicks. The variables observed were initial weight, ration consumption, body weight gain, feed conversion, final body weight, morbidity and mortality. The treatments were P0 (research ration with 5% cassava meal), P1 (research ration with 3% cassava meal fermented), P2 (research ration with 6% cassava meal fermented), P3 (research ration with 9% cassava meal fermented). The results showed a significant difference from these facts, but not significantly different on body weight gain, ration conversion and final body weight. The average initial weight was 45.55 grams/birds, the morbidity rate were 2 chicks the mortality rate was also 0.17%.     Siswa tunagrahita merupakan siswa dengan keterbatasan intelegensi. Keterbatasanintelegensi menyebabkan lemahnya kemampuan komunikasi siswa tunagrahita.Siswa tungarhita kerap dianggap “tidak berguna” dan memliki masa depan yangkelam. Namun, dengan pendidikan dan penanganan dari sekolah dan guru yangsesuai dengan kemampuan dapat melatih ketrampilan siswa tunagrahita sehinggamenjadi pribadi yang mandiri di tengah masyarakat. Keterbatasan komunikasiyang dimiliki siswa tunagrahita menjadi salah satu kendala guru dalam USAhanyauntuk memberikan pengajaran kepada siswa tunagrahita.Penelitian yang bertujuan menjelaskan pengalaman komunikasiinstruksional guru dengan siswa tunagrahita ini menggunakan pendekatankualitatif yang merujuk pada paradigma interpretif dan tradisi fenomenologi.Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Coordinated Management OfMeaning dariW. Barnett Pearce dan Vernon Cronen (1980), konsep mengenaikomunikasi instruksional, dan Teori Belajar Aperpesi menurut Johan F. Herbartdari abad 20. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah mengacu pada metodefenomenologi dari Von Eckartsberg, dan subjek penelitian adalah guru kelasketrampilan SLB Negeri Semarang yang mengampu siswa tunagrahita.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam memberikanpembelajaran kepada siswa tunagrahita, guru berusaha menjalin “ikatan” agardapat memahami karakter dan latar belakang siswa. Hal ini berguna untukmenentukan pola pembelajaran yang sesuai bagi masing-masing siswa. “Ikatan”tersebut dihasilkan melalui interaksi dan sharing yang dilakukan sehari-hari olehguru di sekolah kepada siswa tunagrahita. Melalui interaksi dan sharing, gurumendapat pemahaman tentang latar belakang dan karakteristik masing-masingsiswa. Pemahaman karakter siswa berpengaruh pada pola pembelajaran yangdigunakan guru untuk mengembangakan potensi siswa. Pola pembelajaran yangdigunakan oleh guru dengan memberikan demontrasi dan mengikuti imajinasisiswa. Hal ini juga untuk melatih kemampuan komunikasinya. Guru dituntut lebihaktif dalam berinteraksi dengan siswa di kelas. Hal ini bertujuan agar siswamerasa nyaman dan semangat belajar di kelas. Kendala yang dihadapi guru dalammengembangkan minat dan bakat siswa tunagrahita adalah keadaan siswa tersebutyang memiliki disabilitas intelektual serta orang tua siswa yang kurang memberidukungan.     DNA Sequence Analysis of dtxR Gene (Partial) of Corynebacterium diphtheriae Causing Diphtheria in Jawa and Kalimantan Islands, Indonesia

    BACKGROUND: dtxR gene is a global regulator that can be used as a marker for detection of Corynebacterium diphtheriae (C. diphtheriae) and it is also a representative tool for mapping purpose (molecular typing) of this bacteria. The aim of this study was to analyze the DNA sequences of partial dtxR gene of C. diphtheriae causing diphtheria in some region of Indonesia. DNA sequence analysis was used to verify the accuracy of the in-house multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method that used for detection of C. diphtheriae in the clinical specimen as well as a preliminary study to determine the strain diversity of C. diphtheriae circulating in Indonesia.METHODS:Ten PCR products targeting the dtxR gene that have been detected as positive C. diphtheriae previously by in-house multiplex PCR used as samples in this study. The DNA sequencing carried out by Sanger method and the sequence data was analyzed by Bioedit software offline and basic local alignment sequence typing (BLAST) online.RESULTS: All of DNA sequence analyzed in this study were similar or identical to the dtxR gene sequence data of C. diphtheriae registered in GenBank. Within the 162 nucleotides (base 150-311) of dtxR gene that analyzed, at least 2 clonals were found among 10 samples. Substitutions of 2 nucleotides (base 225 and 273) was detected, both were silent mutation.CONCLUSION:Ten partial DNA sequences of dtxR genes in this study verify the accuracy of in-house multiplex PCR which used to identify the bacteria causing diphtheria in the clinical specimen. The DNA sequences also represent the existing diversity of the bacteria causing diphtheria circulating in Indonesia

    Pengembangan Perangkat Pembelajaran Matematika Berbasis Creative Problem Solving (CPS) pada Materi Aritmatika Sosial

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pembelajaran yang belum sesuai dengan kurikulum 2013. Hal ini terjadi dikarenakan kurangnya perencanaan dalam proses pembelajaran, Sehingga siswa tidak menemukan sendiri konsep matematika yang akan dipelajari. Oleh sebab itu dibutuhkan suatu bentuk perencanaan dalam proses pembelajaran agar pembelajaran sesuai dengan Kurikulum 2013. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika (Silabus, Rancangan Perangkat Pembelajaran (RPP) dan Lembar Aktivitas Siswa (LAS)) berbasis Creative Problem Solving pada materi aritmatika sosial yang memenuhi aspek validitas dan aspek praktikalitas. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) yaitu berupa prosedur penelitian yang dilakukan dengan menciptakan suatu produk tertentu dan menguji keefektivan produk tersebut. Berdasarkan analisis data hasil validasi oleh validator terhadap silabus, RPP dan LAS dengan menggunakan model Creative Problem Solving pada materi aritmatika sosial untuk kelas VII SMP/MTs, dengan rata-rata skor untuk silabus 3,70, rata-rata skor untuk RPP 3,57, rata-rata skor untuk LAS 3,55. Secara keseluruhan silabus, RPP dan LAS dinilai sangat valid
