The Effects of Dietary Food Fortified with Vitamin B4 on Lipid Profiles in Serum and Liver Tissue

The effects of dietary food fortified with vitamin B4 on lipid profiles in serum and liver tissue were studied. Rats were paired-fed a 0.25% vitamin B4 diet or a diet without vitamin B4 for 10 days. Serum lipid levels were measured using enzyme assay kits. Lipids of liver tissues were extracted and the lipid contents were determined. A piece of liver was prepared to determine the activities of fatty acid synthase (FAS) and fatty acid β-oxidation. The results showed that animals fed a food fortified with vitamin B4 had higher level of serum TG, PL, total cholesterol, and high density lipoprotein. Their increases were approximately by 74%, 20%, 27%, and 27%, respectively. The significant changes in liver lipid were only found in PL component. This treatment promoted FAS activity, but impaired the fatty acid β-oxidation. In conclusion: Dietary food fortified with vitamin B4 induces hypertriglyceridemia and liver PL level

Generally, coconut farmers in areas of Indragiri Hilir have not exploited waste plantation of coconut in theform of coir. There is only a small portion of them utilize the coir to be processed further but the processing ismanually or traditionally. Whereas coconut husk if it is processed properly that can increase the economicvalue of the coir and also can support the economic community. Model Pembelajaran Teknik Lompat Jangkit dengan Metode Bermain di Sekolah Dasar

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran sejauhmana penerapan model pembelajaran teknik melompat jangkit dengan metode bermain dapat meningkatkan prestasi peserta didik di sekolah dasar. Analisis Kerusakan Liner pada Mud Pump Ideco T-800 Type Triplex Pump Berdasarkan Reliability, Availability, dan Metode Fault Tree Analysis di PT. X

Mud pump is one type of pump is widely used in industry, mud pump included in the positive type pump. Components of these machines often damage by suddenly one of them is theliner. The purpose of this study is to identify the critical component liner, evaluate the damage cause liner by the method of fault tree analysis (FTA), determine the basic design of the treatment and determine the optimum schedule component replacement liner, analyze the value of reliability, availability, mean time between failure (MTBF), mean time to repaire (MTTR). The existence of the effort are intended to increase the reliability and availability that high to maximize the life of the equipment, as well as the maintenance of an effective. Conclusions obtained includes critical component is the liner 1, cause damage to the liner is scratch. The processing data using Minitab software 16 to determine distribution test, thevalue of MTTR, MTBF, reliability and availability. Hubungan antara Diabetes Melitus dengan Kejadian Hipertensi di Kecamatan Pontianak Selatan

Latar Belakang: Hipertensi dan komplikasinya merupakan penyebab kematian nomorsatu secara global. Diabetes melitus (DM) merupakan salah satu faktor resiko hipertensi. Tujuan : Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara DM dan kejadianhipertensi di Kecamatan Pontianak Selatan.Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan studi analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional.Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara consecutive sampling dengan jumlah sampelsebanyak 108 subjek. Pengukuran yang dilakukan meliputi tekanan darah sistolik dandiastolik serta kadar gula darah sewaktu. Berdasarkan gejala klasik DM dan kadar GDS,subjek dikelompokkan dalam 2 kategori, yakni non-DM (tidak ada gejala klasik DM danatau GDS <200 mg/dl) dan DM (terdapat gejala klasik DM dan GDS ≥200 mg/dl). Berdasarkan nilai tekanan darah, subjek dikelompokkan dalam 2 kategori, yakni non-hipertensi (normal dan prahipertensi) dan hipertensi (hipertensi derajat 1 dan 2). Datadianalisis menggunakan chi-square.Hasil : Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna secara statistik antara DM dan kejadian hipertensi (P < 0,004). Resiko relatif (rasio prevalens [RP] dan interval kepercayaan 95%[IK]) terjadinya hipertensi pada penderita DM adalah (RP 1,7; IK 1,15 – 2,05).Kesimpulan : : Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara DM dan kejadian hipertensi.DM merupakan faktor resiko hipertensi. Dalam hal ini, penderita DM mempunyai resikomengalami hipertensi 1,7 kali lebih besar dibandingkan dengan subjek yang tidakmenderita DM.Kata Kunci : Kecamatan Pontianak Selatan, hipertensi, diabetes melitus, prevalensi. An Analysis of Taboo Words in the Lyrics of Limp Bizkit on Album Gold Cobra

Keywords: Taboo Words, Lyric, Limp BizkitNowadays, many songs have taboo inserted in the lyric to make the song more interesting to be listened. But, sometimes listeners misunderstand with the contexts meaning of taboo word in the songs. In order to avoid misunderstanding, the listener have to understand context meaning in the lyric than the listener understand what the purpose of the lyric that is created by the composer. This study analyzes taboo words in the lyrics of Limp Bizkit. The aim of this study is to find out: (1) the taboo words used in the lyrics of Limp Bizkit (2) the categorizations of taboo words used in the lyrics of Limp Bizkit. This study uses a qualitative approach. The data of this research are words, phrases, and sentences which contain taboo words. The source of the data is collected from the lyrics of Limp Bizkit's songs which are taken from their official website. The results of this research show that 21 kinds of taboo words are found in the lyrics. The categorization of taboo are devided into seven types of taboo, they are Mother in Law, Certain Game Animal, Sex, Death, Excretion, Bodily function, and Religious Matter. Only 1 of 12 songs does not contain taboo words. And there is no data found in The Left Hand type of taboo because that is strongly asociated with gestures. The researcher suggests that English learners should pay attention about the USAge of taboo words in order to be able to use taboo words in proper circumstace. For other researchers, this research can give information and knowledge about Sociolinguistics especially taboo words
