    Digital learning at the University of Architecture and Civil Engineering: psychological risks and effects

    The article examines the problem of digital education in high school in terms of its psychological risks and effects. The aim of the work is to identify the psychological effects of the transformation of higher education in the digital age and to determine the priority trends of psychological support in the digital educational process. In the theoretical aspect of this study the analysis of the problem of psychological risks and challenges of digital education in high school is presented on the basis of domestic and foreign experience of transition to a remote format of education. Methods of theoretical analysis of modern sources on this problem were applied, in particular, cognitive and personal-developing approach to professional and professional-pedagogical education. The author refers to the separate articles on digital education in high school. The work analyzes the sociopsychological aspects of digital education reflecting the person-oriented system risks, communicative competence risks, individual psychological security risks and a new type of students in the digital age. The article reveals only some of the psychological effects of digitalization discussed in studies on this issue. As a result, the priority trends of digital education psychological effects in high school were identified

    Adjectival Phraseological Units with the Parametric Component

    The article is devoted to the comparative study of the Tatar and English adjectival phraseological units with the parametric component. Structural and semantic peculiarities are taken into consideration. The main methods of research are those of general linguistic methods and special linguistic methods. The purpose of the article is to find out common and specific features of the adjectival phraseological units with the parametric components in the English and Tatar languages. The investigation is based on the material from English and Tatar monolingual and polylingual dictionaries. The adjectival phraseological units of the Tatar language have not been studied enough. The Tatar and the English languages are structurally different and the study of the adjectival phraseological units with the parametric component is of great interest.  Comparative and non-comparative adjectival phraseological units with parametric components have been analyzed in the article, the frequency of the structures in both of the languages was found out and the explanation of the phenomenon was searched for. Semantically the adjectival phraseological units with the parametric component may express negative or positive attitude to reality, spheres of life, communicative process, or to a person, and that depends on the usage of this or that parametric adjective of the antonymic pair. General and specific features have been found out as well as exceptions. Based on the data got from the research the conclusions on the structure and semantics of the adjectival phraseological units with the parametric component are presented in the article

    Influence of metallic additives on manganese ferrites sintering

    Influence of cuprum nanopowder additive received by electric explosion on the process of manganese ferrites MgFe2O4 consolidating at thermal sintering was researched by dilatometry method. Cuprum nanopowder at a rate of 5 mass % was added into the original commercial-grade powder of manganese ferrite MgFe2O4. Powder mixture was numerously blended with screening for better blending before pressing. Powder compacts were formed by cold one-axle static pressing. It was proved that introduction of cuprum additive caused shrinkage increase at final heating stage. There was abnormal compact enlarging at sintering in the air at isothermal stage; the specified process was not observed in vacuum. This difference can be explained by changes in conditions of gaseous discharge from volume of pores

    The role of the educational discussion in the development of the unprepared foreign-language speech skills

    © by the author(s). The relevance of the problem under study is determined by the transition to active methods in the foreign languages teaching which is observed in recent years. These methods also include the educational discussion which is a subject of this research. The purpose of the article is to identify the educational potential of the educational discussion as one of the methods of formation and development of the unprepared speech skills and an effective means of the communicative competence formation in the foreign languages teaching. Based on the analysis of different approaches to the problem of teaching the unprepared foreign language speech, as well as the results of practical work, the authors of the article identify such features as spontaneity, naturalness and motivation. Authors come to the conclusion that the objective features of this type of speech activity being the properties of the educational discussion must be taken into account in the organization of the educational process aimed at the development of the free conversation skills in a foreign language. The need for the material selection and structuring for the organization of the educational discussion in accordance with its linguistic and cultural value is highlighted in the article. It also includes the tasks which are recommended for students to perform at the preparation stage of the discussion in order to overcome language and speech difficulties and the types of the educational discussions used in foreign language teaching are defined. In general according to the results of research such method of teaching as educational discussion is effective for the formation and development of unprepared speech skills in a foreign language. The article may be useful for the teachers of a foreign language working at secondary schools and in higher educational institutions, also for students, graduate and postgraduate students who are engaged in studying and research of the problems of the foreign languages teaching

    Genomic determinants of nitric oxide biosynthesis in Lactobacillus plantarum: Potential opportunities and reality

    As the genomic determinants of nitric oxide (NO) biosynthesis were identified in mammals and microorganisms, it became possible to systematically analyze the genetic conditioning of the process in clinically significant lactobacilli. A computer screening of the genetic determinants of synthetic pathways leading to NO production was performed to verify the NO-synthase origin of NO in Lactobacillus plantarum. Experimental evidence for enzymatic NO generation from L-arginine, rather than nitrite, was obtained by EPR spectroscopy. It was shown with the example of L. plantarum NO synthase that the observed functional activity of proteins is due to a complex transformation of the genetic program into a real catalytic function under certain conditions. © 2007 Pleiades Publishing, Inc

    Development of subject position as a condition for forming communicative competence of a future teacher

Professional education considers communicative competence of a student as a dominant. This fact requires from a student active attitude to himself and his activity, i. e. ability to construct and organize interaction with pupils, estimate and realize correction of his own activity. This is possible when the subject position of a student is activated. The aim of this article is working out functional-structural model of forming communicative competence of a future teacher under the condition of transforming pedagogical education. The leading method is the method of experimental modeling, which enables to analyze the usage of technology of forming communicative competence of a teacher at studying the block of pedagogical subjects and practice. The model reflects the usage of integral-modular technology. One of the qualities of the module in question its possibility to serve as an invariant for structuring an unlimited number of competitive modules of educational process in different types of institutions

    Linguistic innovations in Romain Gary's creative laboratory

    In this article we study a new background revealed due to Russian translations made by N. Mavlevich in 2015 of the first unpublished novel by Romain Gary, holder of the two Prix Goncourt prizes for his novels The Roots of Heaven (Les Racines du ciel) and The Life Before Us (La vie devant soi) published under the pseudonym Emile Ajar. The empirical writer mentioned about his debut novel in the book The Night is Calm (La nuit sera calme) and his posthumous literary essay The Life and Death of Emil Ajar (Vie et mort d'Emile Ajar) thus giving a clue to understanding of his “creative laboratory” related to phenomenal literary mystification. We assume that language experts will be interested in studying of Romain Gary's linguistic biography who created his novels in English and French, because Russia was the country where his linguistic development had started. By understanding the role and place of the author's creative laboratory in linguistics we can define relevance and academic novelty of suggested study. The study allows to analyze Romain Gary's creative works from a new perspective and goes beyond the existing method of obtaining knowledge. The main research objects include the author's language and linguistic behavior of his characters that are featured with well-structured images evoked by Russian words kept in mind from childhood. This system of values is close to the Russian readers and is in tune with the spirit of the modern age. This aspect in the framework of the language-specific nature can be a subject for further research. Linguistic findings made by Romain Gary facilitated the development of the literary language and were focused on increasing of capabilities of the literary speech. Analysis of linguistic innovations in the Romain Gary's creative laboratory allows to receive important information about peculiarities of links between the cognitive and linguistic content discovered in linguistic facts and speech phenomena and make some crucial observations.peer-reviewe

    Involvement of Iron in Biofilm Formation by Lactobacillus rhamnosus

    © 2016, Springer Science+Business Media New York.We investigated the effect of high iron availability on growth and biofilm formation of Lactobacillus rhamnosus strain BB. Biofilm development by L. rhamnosus BB was significantly increased by adding iron into the MRS medium, while bacterial growth was not affected. Iron chelator EDTA had no effect on L. rhamnosus BB growth and biofilm formation, but prevented the stimulation of biofilm development by iron. Our results are the first evidence of iron involvement in biofilm formation by lactobacilli—bacteria that were considered to be iron independent with poor biofilm formation capacity

    Влияние эпидемиологических ограничений на досуговые предпочтения молодежи

    The article deals with the problem of changing leisure preferences of students in an industrial city in the conditions of the coronavirus pandemic. The authors investigate different interpretations of leisure, indicate its main characteristics as a part of free time used for the manifestation of personality individuality, inclinations to activities that bring pleasure, joy. They also highlight the specifics of youth leisure characterized by increased activity in communicating with peers, self-realization and self-affirmation in various types of sports activities, amateur performances, creativity. Based on the materials of empirical research, the paper showsthat young residents of a large industrial and cultural center of Udmurtia, especially in the initial period of the introduction of strict restrictions, significantly changed the content of leisure activities. There was a transition from forms of direct communication with friends during their conduct to indirect contacts in social networks, watching movies, concerts, sports matches on a computer monitor. In the second wave of restrictions introduced in the fall of 2020, there occurred a partial return to the previous ways of organizing leisure. Once again, young people began to meet more often at parties, take walks together, play sports. They have gained valuable experience of adaptation to the new reality which can be used in the future with significant transformations of the conditions of labor and leisure activities of large social groups.В статье рассматривается проблема изменения досуговых предпочтений студенческой молодежи промышленного города в условиях пандемии коронавируса. Исследованы разные трактовки досуга, отмечены его основные характеристики как части свободного времени, используемого для проявления индивидуальности личности, склонностей к занятиям, приносящим удовольствие, радость. Выделена специфика молодежного досуга, характеризующегося повышенной активностью в общении со сверстниками, самореализацией и самоутверждением в разных видах спортивных занятий, художественной самодеятельности, творчества. Показано на материалах эмпирического исследования, что молодые жители крупного промышленного и культурного центра Удмуртии в начальный период введения строгих ограничений существенно изменили содержании досуговых занятий. Произошел переход от форм непосредственного общения с друзьями к опосредованным контактам в социальных сетях, просмотром на мониторе компьютера фильмов, концертов, спортивных матчей. Во вторую волну ограничений, введенных осенью 2020 года, произошло частичное возвращение к прежним способам организации досуга. Вновь молодые люди стали чаще встречаться в гостях, вместе совершать прогулки, заниматься спортом. Был приобретен ценный опыт адаптации к новой реальности, который может быть использован в дальнейшем при существенных преобразованиях условий трудовой и досуговой деятельности больших социальных групп
