Quality of Community Sports Service Distribution and Behavior Intention of the Elderly
The purpose of this study was to explore the quality of community sports distribution service through the evaluation and satisfaction of the elderly in Yangpu District of Shanghai on the quality of community sports service and explore the relationship between the quality of community sports distribution service, satisfaction, and behavioral intention. Data were collected by using surveys and analyzed using mathematical statistics. The survey refers to SERVPERF model to design a six-dimension, intermediary variable satisfaction and behavioral intention five-point scale for the service quality of community sports distribution. The sample size was 261. SPSS25.0 was used to conduct data analysis. Reliability and validity test and correlation analysis of service quality and satisfaction and behavior intention of the elderly were conducted. The Cronbach\u27s Alpha value of the scale was 0.932. The KMO value was above 0.8, and Bartlett sphericity test was significant, indicating high reliability and validity of the scale. The analysis results showed that the mean values of the six dimensions of service quality and satisfaction were higher than 4.2, indicating that the elderly had a high evaluation of community sports distribution service quality. Community sports service delivery service quality dimensions and satisfaction and behavior intention between different degree of correlation, in addition to the tangibility of community sports service reliability of distribution service quality, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and practicality for older people to participate in community sports service satisfaction and behavior intention of distribution had significant positive correlations. More women than men participated in community sports service delivery among the elderly since most of the delivery items are dance and martial arts. The elderly had a good participation in community sports service distribution, with the frequency and duration of weekly participation basically meeting the requirements of China\u27s sports population within 4-5 years. They had more than 30 minutes of moderate intensity training at least three times a week. According to the evaluation and satisfaction of the elderly on the service quality of community sports service delivery, community sports service delivery was of high service quality. The service quality of community sports service delivery had a positive impact on the sustainability of elderly people\u27s participation in community sports service delivery, and they were willing to recommend it to people around them to participate. Community sports service distribution activities should be publicized and promoted on the Internet so that more people can participate in the willingness
Four-year review of safe and effective procedural sedation in neonates and young infants
ObjectivesNewborns and small infants are unable to cooperate actively during diagnostic procedures; therefore, sedation is often employee to maintain immobilization and obtain high-quality images. However, these procedures are often indicated in sick, vulnerable, or hemodynamically unstable neonates and young infants, which raises the associated risks of sedation. This study summarizes our 4-year of experience with safe and effective procedural sedation in this vulnerable population.Study designThis retrospective study analyzed data on neonates and young infants who underwent non-painful diagnostic procedures from December 2019 to November 2023. Patients were categorized into the neonate (aged≦ 28 days) and the young infant (29 days ≦ aged ≦ 90 days) groups.ResultsNon-pharmacological strategies, including sleeping naturally, swaddling/facilitated tucking, non-nutritive sucking, and skin-to-skin care, can achieve a success rate for sedation about 98.4%. In terms of pharmacological methods, our institution primarily utilizes chloral hydrate for procedural sedation in neonates and young infants undergoing non-painful diagnostic procedures. Midazolam serves as an alternative sedative. Chloral hydrate alone demonstrated a 92.5% success rate on the first attempt, compared to midazolam alone, with an 85.11% success rate. Neonates experienced a higher incidence of adverse events during sedation compared to young infants.ConclusionThis study reviews our 4-year experience with procedural sedation in neonates and young infants. Chloral hydrate demonstrated a high degree of safety and efficacy in this population. However, supervision by skilled medical personnel and extended observation is required. In our institution, the experience with midazolam is limited in this population, and further research is warranted to establish its safety and efficacy. Non-pharmacological strategies can achieve an acceptable rate of sedation success, which can be used based on patient’s tolerance
DRSN4mCPred: accurately predicting sites of DNA N4-methylcytosine using deep residual shrinkage network for diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal cancer in the precision medicine era
IntroductionThe DNA N4-methylcytosine (4mC) site levels of those suffering from digestive system cancers were higher, and the pathogenesis of digestive system cancers may also be related to the changes in DNA 4mC levels. Identifying DNA 4mC sites is a very important step in studying the analysis of biological function and cancer prediction. Extracting accurate features from DNA sequences is the key to establishing a prediction model of effective DNA 4mC sites. This study sought to develop a new predictive model, DRSN4mCPred, which aimed to improve the performance of the predicting DNA 4mC sites.MethodsThe model adopted multi-scale channel attention to extract features and used attention feature fusion (AFF) to fuse features. In order to capture features information more accurately and effectively, this model utilized Deep Residual Shrinkage Network with Channel-Wise thresholds (DRSN-CW) to eliminate noise-related features and achieve a more precise feature representation, thereby, distinguishing the sites in DNA with 4mC and non-4mC. Additionally, the predictive model incorporated an inverted residual block, a Multi-scale Channel Attention Module (MS-CAM), a Bi-directional Long Short Term Memory Network (Bi-LSTM), AFF, and DRSN-CW.Results and DiscussionThe results indicated the predictive model DRSN4mCPred had extremely good performance in predicting the DNA 4mC sites across different species. This paper will potentially provide support for the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal cancer based on artificial intelligence in the precise medical era
iDNA-OpenPrompt: OpenPrompt learning model for identifying DNA methylation
Introduction: DNA methylation is a critical epigenetic modification involving the addition of a methyl group to the DNA molecule, playing a key role in regulating gene expression without changing the DNA sequence. The main difficulty in identifying DNA methylation sites lies in the subtle and complex nature of methylation patterns, which may vary across different tissues, developmental stages, and environmental conditions. Traditional methods for methylation site identification, such as bisulfite sequencing, are typically labor-intensive, costly, and require large amounts of DNA, hindering high-throughput analysis. Moreover, these methods may not always provide the resolution needed to detect methylation at specific sites, especially in genomic regions that are rich in repetitive sequences or have low levels of methylation. Furthermore, current deep learning approaches generally lack sufficient accuracy.Methods: This study introduces the iDNA-OpenPrompt model, leveraging the novel OpenPrompt learning framework. The model combines a prompt template, prompt verbalizer, and Pre-trained Language Model (PLM) to construct the prompt-learning framework for DNA methylation sequences. Moreover, a DNA vocabulary library, BERT tokenizer, and specific label words are also introduced into the model to enable accurate identification of DNA methylation sites.Results and Discussion: An extensive analysis is conducted to evaluate the predictive, reliability, and consistency capabilities of the iDNA-OpenPrompt model. The experimental outcomes, covering 17 benchmark datasets that include various species and three DNA methylation modifications (4mC, 5hmC, 6mA), consistently indicate that our model surpasses outstanding performance and robustness approaches

Prevalence, associated factors and outcomes of pressure injuries in adult intensive care unit patients: the DecubICUs study

Epidemiologic data is however unavailable. We aimed to provide an international picture of the extent of pressure injuries and factors associated with ICU-acquired pressure injuries in adult ICU patients. Methods: International 1-day point-prevalence study; follow-up for outcome assessment until hospital discharge (maximum 12 weeks). Factors associated with ICU-acquired pressure injury and hospital mortality were assessed by generalised linear mixed-effects regression analysis. Results: Data from 13,254 patients in 1117 ICUs (90 countries) revealed 6747 pressure injuries; 3997 (59.2%) were ICU-acquired. Overall prevalence was 26.6% (95% confidence interval [CI] 25.9–27.3). ICU-acquired prevalence was 16.2% (95% CI 15.6–16.8). Sacrum (37%) and heels (19.5%) were most affected. Factors independently associated with ICU-acquired pressure injuries were older age, male sex, being underweight, emergency surgery, higher Simplified Acute Physiology Score II, Braden score 3 days, comorbidities (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, immunodeficiency), organ support (renal replacement, mechanical ventilation on ICU admission), and being in a low or lower-middle income-economy. Gradually increasing associations with mortality were identified for increasing severity of pressure injury: stage I (odds ratio [OR] 1.5; 95% CI 1.2–1.8), stage II (OR 1.6; 95% CI 1.4–1.9), and stage III or worse (OR 2.8; 95% CI 2.3–3.3). Conclusion: Pressure injuries are common in adult ICU patients. ICU-acquired pressure injuries are associated with mainly intrinsic factors and mortality. Optimal care standards, increased awareness, appropriate resource allocation, and further research into optimal prevention are pivotal to tackle this important patient safety threat

Autonomous Obstacle Avoidance Algorithm for Unmanned Surface Vehicles Based on an Improved Velocity Obstacle Method
Focusing on the collision avoidance problem for Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) in the scenario of multi-vessel encounters, a USV autonomous obstacle avoidance algorithm based on the improved velocity obstacle method is proposed. The algorithm is composed of two parts: a multi-vessel encounter collision detection model and a path re-planning algorithm. The multi-vessel encounter collision detection model draws on the idea of the velocity obstacle method through the integration of characteristics such as the USV dynamic model in the marine environment, the encountering vessel motion model, and the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGS) to obtain the velocity obstacle region in the scenario of USV and multi-vessel encounters. On this basis, two constraint conditions for the motion state space of USV obstacle avoidance behavior and the velocity obstacle region are added to the dynamic window algorithm to complete a USV collision risk assessment and generate a collision avoidance strategy set. The path re-planning algorithm is based on the premise of the minimum resource cost and uses an improved particle swarm algorithm to obtain the optimal USV control strategy in the collision avoidance strategy set and complete USV path re-planning. Simulation results show that the algorithm can enable USVs to safely evade multiple short-range dynamic targets under COLREGS
Typhoon Track Prediction Based on Deep Learning
China is located in the northwest Pacific region where typhoons occur frequently, and every year typhoons make landfall and cause large or small economic losses or even casualties. Therefore, how to predict typhoon paths more accurately has undoubtedly become an important research topic nowadays. Therefore, this paper predicts the path of typhoons formed in the South China Sea based on deep learning. This paper combines the CNN network and the LSTM network to build a C-LSTM typhoon path prediction model, using the typhoon paths and related meteorological variables formed in the South China Sea from 1949 to 2021 as the data set, and using the Granger causality test to select multiple features for the data set to achieve data dimensionality reduction. Finally, by comparing the experiments with the LSTM typhoon path prediction model, it is proved that the prediction results of the model have smaller errors
