Based on the research of city’s soft power at home and abroad, the current study was intended to build an evaluation index system and analyzed the city’s soft power of 17cities in Shandong Province in 2010. Both the qualitative and quantitative methods were adopted. Frequency statistical method was used to build the evaluation index system of city’s soft power, and AHP and CRITIC methods were used to determine index weight. By using the evaluation system, data from Shandong 2010 statistic yearbook and SPSS18.0, the researchers analyzed the soft power of 17 cities in Shandong province, and finally constructed a measure model for city’s soft power. Results indicated that this model is practically viable and consistent with the real situation of the soft power of 17cities in Shandong Province. It is the researchers hope that this measure model would provide reference for government’s decision-making in the development of promoting urbanization

Dynamic Analysis and Control of the Clutch Filling Process in Clutch-to-Clutch Transmissions

Clutch fill control in clutch-to-clutch transmissions influences shift quality considerably. An oncoming clutch should be applied synchronously with the release of an offgoing clutch to shift gear smoothly; therefore, the gap between the piston and clutch plates should be eliminated when the torque capacity is near zero at the end of the clutch fill phase. Open-loop control is typically implemented for the clutch fill because of the cost of pressure sensor. Low control precision causes underfill or overfill to occur, deteriorating shift quality. In this paper, a mathematical model of an electrohydraulic clutch shift control system is presented. Special dynamic characteristic parameters for optimal clutch fill control are subsequently proposed. An automatic method for predicting initial fill control parameters is proposed to eliminate distinct discrepancies among transmissions caused by manufacturing or assembling errors. To prevent underfill and overfill, a fuzzy adaptive control method is proposed, in which clutch fill control parameters are adjusted self-adaptively and continually. Road vehicle test results proved that applying the fuzzy adaptive method ensures the consistency of shift quality even after the transmission’s status is changed

Digital Twin Based Network Latency Prediction in Vehicular Networks

    Get PDF
Network latency is a crucial factor affecting the quality of communications networks due to the irregularity of vehicular traffic. To address the problem of performance degradation or instability caused by latency in vehicular networks, this paper proposes a time delay prediction algorithm, in which digital twin technology is employed to obtain a large quantity of actual time delay data for vehicular networks and to verify autocorrelation. Subsequently, to meet the prediction conditions of the ARMA time series model, two neural networks, i.e., Radial basis function (RBF) and Elman networks, were employed to construct a time delay prediction model. The experimental results show that the average relative error of the RBF is 7.6%, whereas that of the Elman-NN is 14.2%. This indicates that the RBF has a better prediction performance, and a better real-time performance than the Elman-NN

BACKGROUND: HIV-1 CRF07_BC recombinant previously circulated mainly among the intravenous drug users (IDUs) in Xinjiang province of China and is currently spreading in the entire country. The aim of this study is to characterize the genotypic and phenotypic properties of HIV-1 CRF07_BC isolates in comparison with those of the subtype B' (Thailand B) which is prevalent in the former plasma donors (FPDs) in China. RESULTS: Twelve HIV-1 CRF07_BC variants were isolated from the blood of the HIV-1-infected IDUs in Xinjiang province, and 20 subtype B' isolates were obtained from the FPDs in Anhui and Shanxi provinces of China. All the CRF07_BC viruses utilized CCR5 co-receptor, whereas 12 subtype B' viruses were R5-tropic, and the remaining B' isolates were dual (R5X4) tropic. CRF07_BC viruses had lower net charge value in the V3 loop and exhibited slower replication kinetics than subtype B' viruses. The number and location of the potential N-linked glycosylation sites in V1/V2 and the C2 region of the CRF07_BC viruses were significantly different from those of the subtype B' viruses. CONCLUSION: The HIV-1 CRF07_BC recombinant strains with relatively lower net charges in the V3 loop exclusively utilize CCR5 co-receptor for infection and exhibit slow replication kinetics in the primary target cells, suggesting that CRF07_BC may be superior over B' and other HIV-1 subtypes in initiating infection in high-risk population. These findings have molecular implications for the adaptive evolution of HIV-1 circulating in China and the design of tailored therapeutic strategy for treatment of HIV-1 CRF07_BC infection

Novel Reassortant Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (H5N5) Viruses in Domestic Ducks, China

In China, domestic ducks and wild birds often share the same water, in which influenza viruses replicate preferentially. Isolation of 2 novel reassortant highly pathogenic avian influenza (H5N5) viruses from apparently healthy domestic ducks highlights the role of these ducks as reassortment vessels. Such new subtypes of influenza viruses may pose a pandemic threat
