Braconidae (Hymenoptera) parasites of fungivorous Diptera in Karelia
A list of 18 species of Braconidae, 15 of the subfamily Alysiinae, reared from 65 mushrooms collected in the forests surrounding Petrozavodsk (Russian South Karelia) is given. Six new species are described by V. I. Tobias: Aspilota karelica sp. n., A. jakovlevi sp. n., A. fungicola sp. n., A. stigmatica sp. n., A. aequabilis sp. n., and A. spiritalis sp. n. The most common probable hosts are larvae of Pegomya (Anthomyidae) and Megaselia (Phoridae)
Radio-optic positioning systems based on mobile communication infrastructure in problems of ground objects
The article considers the problem of constructing an autonomous positioning system of objects using the infrastructure for mobile communications (repeater towers, cell phones) without the constant attraction of satellite navigation systems. It is shown that the use of dual-wavelength optical line for synchronization of spaced transmitters of towers gives error positioning of objects up to 10-20 mm. It is necessary to use additional control of moving of peaks towers and meteorological parameters both at the location of towers and at the location of controlled object. The paper is numerically investigated the difference between electrical and optical paths of propagation channels from humidity, pressure and temperature It is shown that if, along with the radio - frequency, repeater will emit a modulated optical signals, by measuring the difference between electrical and optical paths, the positioning of object can be measured with an accuracy of about 1 mm. Such systems may be useful in the case of deformation measurements in the unavailability of satellite positioning systems in the case of need for greater efficiency of data retrieval. Keywords: positioning, repeater, laser, humidity, pressure, temperature, optical path, meteorological parameters, mobile communication
Application of laser scanners and rangefinders technology in problem of industrial and natural objects control.
An overview of application of modern technology of laser scanners and range finders for measuring natural and industrial objects is done in this paper. The technique of phase measurements based on multi-frequency modulation of the laser radiation was proposed, which simplifies phase ambiguous resolution when measuring large distances to the object. A model of scanning allows effective spatial scanning of industrial and natural sites. On the basis of this model, scheme remote geophysical measurements was proposed, which encompasses corner reflectors , with the possibility of using active reflectors. Rangefinder with active reflector increases the range of the device several times. It can be effectively used in geophysical studies of Earth's surface and in control of shear deformations. Keywords: laser, rangefinder, scanner, atmosphere, distanc
The hydrogen material interaction during cyclic mechanical loading
Abstract The two-continuum model of solid allows one to describe the influence of small concentration of hydrogen on the mechanical properties of materials in terms of changing the bonding energy of the second continuum, the latter being responsible for the hydrogen concentration. The experimental technique and experimental results are described in the report. We discuss and model the hydrogen redistribution during fatigue loading
Automatic Issue Identification and Clustering
Search engines and virtual assistants receive a large number of queries, and also report a large number of issues such as user queries that didn’t work, triggered the wrong features, or were not understood due to speech recognition errors, etc. This disclosure presents techniques that cluster similar issues, identify issues with the largest impact, and identify the root cause of an issue. The techniques scale easily, detect large patterns of similar issues, and prevent one-off fixes that need repeated application across similar issues. The techniques help improve the search engine or virtual assistant to provide responses that are more reliable, accurate, and satisfactory to the user
Evaluation of the effect of led irradiator spectral content on the development of greenhouse plants
The work presents the results of an experiment studying the effect of radiation spectral content (considering its equal intensity in terms of photosynthetically active radiation) on the growth and development of greenhouse model plants. The results demonstrate that the effective development of model subjects requires the adaptation of radiation spectral content according to the growth period and plant type, unlike the illumination level. The obtained results demonstrate the necessity of the creation of adaptive irradiation unit
Too young to be secure: Analysis of UEFI threats and vulnerabilities
Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) is a software interface between an operating system and platform firmware designed to replace a traditional BIOS. In general, UEFI has many technical advantages over BIOS (pre-OS environment, boot and run-time services, CPU-independent drivers etc.) including also powerful security mechanisms (e.g. secure boot, update, etc.). They are aimed to provide platform integrity, be root of trust of security architecture, control all stages of boot process until it pass control to authenticated OS kernel. From the other side UEFI technology is the focus of many new potential threats and exploits and presents new vulnerabilities that must be managed. The main goal of this research is to provide analysis of the UEFI security issues, find the point and source of the security problems and classify them. The paper describes the architectural and implementation troubles of UEFI which lead to threats, vulnerabilities and attacks. It also includes extensive review of the previous research activities in this area and the results of our own experiments. As the result of the work some recommendation about how to make this young technology more safe and secure are provided
