Dairy cattle breeding effectiveness analysis under the conditions of import substitution
The relevance of the research problem is inspired by the strategic importance of dairy farming to the national economy, which is especially evident in the context of the EU economic sanctions against the Russian Federation and carrying out the import substitution policy. First and foremost, this policy applies to food commodities, including milk. The goal of the article is to study statistical productivity analysis of dairy cattle breeding as one of the major indicators to show its effectiveness (Privolzhsky Federal district in Russia is taken as the example). The main methods, used to study this problem are the index method, time series analysis, and correlation and regression analysis. As the study result there were identified the factors affecting the dairy cattle productivity, the prognosis and the conclusion about the positive aspects in solving problems of import substitution in the field of milk production. The article can be useful to regional governments in the development and adjustment programs for socio-economic development of subjects dealing with agriculture in the Volga Federal district of Russia. © 2016 Tokarev et al

Deep and extensive meltwater system beneath the former Eurasian Ice Sheet in the Kara Sea
Abstract
The Eurasian ice sheet extended across the Barents and Kara Seas during the late Quaternary, yet evidence on past ice dynamics and thermal structure across its huge eastern periphery remains largely unknown. Here we use three-dimensional seismic data sets covering ∼4500 km2 of the Kara Sea west of Yamal Peninsula, Siberia (71°–73°N), to identify, for the first time in the Russian Arctic seas, several buried generations of vast subglacial tunnel valley networks. Individual valleys are up to 50 km long and are incised as much as 400 m deep; among the largest tunnel valleys ever reported. This discovery represents the first documentation of an extensively warm-based eastern margin of the Eurasian ice sheet during the Quaternary glaciations. The presence of major subglacial channel networks on the shallow shelf, with no evidence of ice streaming, suggests that significant meltwater discharge and subsequent freshwater forcing of ocean circulation may be long-lived rather than catastrophic, occurring during the latest stages of deglaciation in areas where the ice sheet flows slowly and is grounded largely above sea level. Furthermore, the first account of an extensive hydrological network across large areas of the Kara Sea provides important empirical evidence for active subglacial hydrological processes that should be considered in future numerical modeling of the eastern margin of the Quaternary Eurasian ice sheet.</jats:p
Research of the Regional Service Market in Terms of International Economic Activity's Customs Registration
The article states the economic essence of Ñustoms registration, its significance for the development of international economic activity in the present context. The customs' service development problem relevance is stipulated by the necessity to develop any state's international economic activity. Key trends of the service market development in the customs sphere have been revealed, the perspectives of subjective development of complex services in the customs sphere have been defined in terms of the carried out retrospective as well as the structural and functional analysis. The regional service market in terms of customs registration, its dynamics and structure, its interrelations and interdependencies have been examined using economic and mathematical methods.

PSYCHOLOGICAL DETERMINANTS OF STUDENTS’ PROJECT ACTIVITY
Determination of psychological components of project activity is an important step towards the formation of a high level of preparation of participants for conducting innovative activities. The psychological determinants of project activity that we study allow us to systematically influence the improvement of project activities. The process of improving educational practice from various angles of its activity is a priority, given the current challenges of reality.
Preliminary results of determination of chemical element concentrations in the aerosol of Venus clouds
An X-ray radiometeric experiment is described along with the results of measurements of the elemental composition of aerosols in Venusian clouds. A preliminary analysis of the data showed that sulfur is present in the range of heights 63 to 47 km with mean content of 5.8 mg/cu m and that chlorine is present in the height range 61 t0 52 km with a mean content of 4.1 mg/cu m. The results of measurements in the range 52 to 47 km may come to an agreement if phosphorus is present in the aerosol with a mean concentration of 7.7 mg/cu m
Penetrating brain injury is a rare but serious type of brain trauma. This article describes a successful surgical treatment of a victim with a wound of the left temporal lobe, great vessels and cranial nerves. Patients with damageв structures of the middle cranial fossa have to undergo surgical treatment in a specialized hospital with the possibility of comprehensive preoperative examination the availability of intensive care for neurosurgical patients with a full range of necessary medicines. Effective hemostatic materials are to be used to prevent intraoperative bleeding. In the absence of hemostatic materials, the operation is impractical.
Observation of charge asymmetry dependence of pion elliptic flow and the possible chiral magnetic wave in heavy-ion collisions
We present measurements of and elliptic flow, , at
midrapidity in Au+Au collisions at 200, 62.4, 39, 27,
19.6, 11.5 and 7.7 GeV, as a function of event-by-event charge asymmetry,
, based on data from the STAR experiment at RHIC. We find that
() elliptic flow linearly increases (decreases) with charge asymmetry
for most centrality bins at and higher.
At , the slope of the difference of
between and as a function of exhibits a
centrality dependence, which is qualitatively similar to calculations that
incorporate a chiral magnetic wave effect. Similar centrality dependence is
also observed at lower energies.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figure
Isolation of Flow and Nonflow Correlations by Two- and Four-Particle Cumulant Measurements of Azimuthal Harmonics in 200 GeV Au+Au Collisions
A data-driven method was applied to measurements of Au+Au collisions at
200 GeV made with the STAR detector at RHIC to isolate
pseudorapidity distance -dependent and -independent
correlations by using two- and four-particle azimuthal cumulant measurements.
We identified a component of the correlation that is -independent,
which is likely dominated by anisotropic flow and flow fluctuations. It was
also found to be independent of within the measured range of
pseudorapidity . The relative flow fluctuation was found to be for particles of transverse momentum
less than GeV/. The -dependent part may be attributed to
nonflow correlations, and is found to be relative to the
flow of the measured second harmonic cumulant at
