Study on diversity frog (Amphibians: Anura) in Desa Kepenuhan Hulu Kecamatan Kepenuhan Hulu Kabupaten Rokan Hulu, Riau has been conducted from November to Desember 2015 by using visual encounter survay (capture directly to the survey) by the sampling technique samples by random sampling. Samples were collected with two repetitions at each station. The results, is four family, six genera and ten species are Rana erythraea, R. baramica, R. nicobariensis, R. hosii, Fejervarya limnocharis, F. cancrivora, Limnonectes paramacrodon, Leptobrachium hasseltii, Rhacophorus javanus and Kaloula baleat

Improvement of Feeding Value of Quinoa Stalk with White Rot Fungi Treatment

Two trials were conducted to evaluate the effect of white rot fungi treatment on feeding value of quinoa stalk. In trial 1, quinoa stalk was inoculated with Pleurotus osteratus (PO) or Pleurotus citrinopileatus (PC) at 25 °C for 90 days, and chemical composition and hardness of the stalk were measured. In trial 2, quinoa stalk was inoculated with PO, and incubated at 10 and 25 °C for 60, 90 and 120 days. After incubation, the chemical composition and hardness of the stalk were measured. In trial 1, acid detergent lignin (ADL) content in the stalk decreased in both treatments, and the ADL content was lower in PO than in PC. However, the hardness of the stalk after incubation was weaker in PC. In trials 2, ADL content and hardness of the quinoa stalk decreased under both incubation temperatures, but the decrease rates of the ADL content and the hardness were slower in the stalks incubated at 10 °C. After 120-day incubation, the ADL content was higher in the stalk incubated at 10 °C compared with the stalk incubated at 25 °C, but the hardness did not differ between the incubation temperatures. These results indicate the possibility of improving the feeding value of quinoa stalk by white rot fungi treatment under a cool climate condition such as Andean highlands

Synthesis and Properties of Ethoxylated Glycerol Monooleate as Palm Oil Based Nonionic Surfactants

Palm oil based nonionic surfactants were synthesized by reacting glycerol monooleate with ethylene oxide at 80 ºC in the prescence of an alkaline catalyst. Purification of the products was conducted by use of acetic acid and black carbon which gave ethoxylated products (EGMO) with a higher level of viscocity and greater solubility in water. Physical and chemical properties of the product such as surface activity, cloud point, acid value, ester value, hydroxyl value, and hydrophilic-lipophilic balance was also determined and results varied depending on the reagent molar ratio. The synthesized EGMO were soluble in water and therefore show potential use as surface active agents in personal care and cosmetic products

Pelatihan Penciptaan Tari Anak Bagi Guru Seni Budaya SD Dan SMP di Kabupaten Kayong Utara

Pelatihan penciptaan tari anak bagi guru seni budaya SD dan SMP di Kabupaten Kayong Utara menjadi hal yang penting mengingat kurangnya pelatihan penciptaan tari anak khususnya  dalam pembelajaran seni budaya. Tari anak menjadi hal yang sangat penting untuk dikuasai oleh para guru seni budaya, karena mengingat sifat dan kemampuan anak dalam bergerak akan memiliki perbedaan dikarenakan perkembangan kemampuan motorik kasar dan halusnya. Metode pelaksanaan PKM memiliki tahapan-tahapan yaitu persiapan dengan berkoordinasi dengan mitra, tahap pelaksanaan menyampaikan materi tari anak, tahap mempraktikan tari anak, dan tahap pendemonstrasian peserta akan hasil ciptaan tarinya.  . Hasil yang diperoleh dalam PKM ini yaitu peserta memiliki kemampuan dalam menciptakan tari anak. Meningkatkan wawasan peserta didik mengenai elemen-elemen komposisi taru, tahap eksplorasi,improvisasi, evaluasi gerak hingga menjadikan 1 karya tari yang utuh guna dijadikan referensi menari kedepannya. Stromal regulatory T-cells are associated with a favourable prognosis in gastric cancer of the cardia

<p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>Recent evidence suggests that CD4⁺CD25⁺FoxP3⁺regulatory T-cells (Treg) may be responsible for the failure of host anti-tumour immunity by suppressing cytotoxic T- cells. We assessed the prognostic significance of tumour infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL) in intestinal-type gastric cardiac cancer.</p> <p>Methods</p> <p>Tumour infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) subsets and tumour infiltrating macrophages (TIM) were investigated in 52 cases using tissue microarrays. The interrelationship between the cell populations (CD3+, CD8+, CD20+, CD68+, GranzymeB+, FoxP3+) in different compartments and NED-survival was investigated (median follow-up time: 61 months).</p> <p>Results</p> <p>Intraepithelial infiltration with TIL and TIM including Treg was generally low and not related to NED-survival. However, patients with large numbers of FoxP3⁺Treg in the tumour stroma (>125.9 FoxP3⁺TILs/mm²) had a median survival time of 58 months while those with low FoxP3⁺TIL counts (<125.9 FoxP3⁺TILs/mm²) had a median survival time of 32 months (p = 0.006). Patients with high versus low stromal CD68⁺/FoxP3⁺cell ratios in primary tumour displayed median survivals of 32 and 55 months, respectively (p = 0.008).</p> <p>Conclusion</p> <p>Our results suggest that inflammatory processes within the tumour stroma of gastric intestinal-type adenocarcinomas located at the gastric cardia may affect outcome in two ways. Tumour-infiltrating macrophages are likely to promote carcinogenesis while large numbers of Treg are associated with improved outcome probably by inhibiting local inflammatory processes promoting carcinogenesis. Thus, inhibition of Treg may not be a feasible treatment option in gastric adenocarcinoma.</p

Regioisomeric and substituent effects upon the outcome of the reaction of 1-borodienes with nitrosoarene compounds

A study of the reactivity of 1-borodienes with nitrosoarene compounds has been carried out showing an outcome that differs according to the hybridization state of the boron moiety. Using an sp2 boron substituent, a one-pot hetero-Diels–Alder/ring contraction cascade occurred to afford N-arylpyrroles with low to good yields depending on the electronic properties of the substituents on the borodiene, whereas an sp3 boron substituent led to the formation of stable boro-oxazines with high regioselectivity in most of the cases, in moderate to good yields. 1H and 11B NMR studies on two boro-oxazine regioisomers showed that selective deprotection can be performed. Formation of either the pyrrole or the furan derivative is pH- and regioisomer-structure-dependent. The results obtained, together with previous B3LYP calculations, support mechanistic proposals which suggest that pyrrole, or furan, formation proceeds via oxazine formation, followed by a boryl rearrangement and an intramolecular addition–elimination sequence
