Stability and Accuracy analysis of the Method and 3-Point Time filter

adds one additional line of code to the existing source code of
-method. We prove the method's -stability, accuracy, and
-stability for both constant time step and variable time step. Some

Why Are PPP Projects Stagnating in China? An Evolutionary Analysis of China's PPP Policies
The PublicâPrivate Partnership (PPP) model has significantly contributed to global infrastructure and public service provision. The evolution of the PPP model closely aligns with policy directives. Chinaâs PPP policy evolution has included five stages: budding (1986â2000), fluctuating (2001â2008), steady (2009â2012), expanding (2013â2018), and stagnating (2019âpresent). This study em-ploys bibliometric analysis and co-word analysis to examine 407 policies enacted by the Chinese government from 1986 to 2018. By extracting policy text keywords at various stages and constructing a co-word network matrix, this study delineates the distinctive characteristics of Chinese PPP policies across different epochs. It can be found that critical areas such as âgovernment creditâ, âcontract spiritâ, and âpower supervisionâ are still underappreciated. The challenges confronting Chinaâs PPP model are multi-faceted, stemming from policy gaps that have led to substantial project difficulties. Although the government proposed a new mechanism for franchising in 2023, the new mechanism is only for new PPP projects, and the difficulties of existing PPP projects have not been solved. This study advocates for enhancements in project bankability, regulatory clarity, institutional environment improvement, contract spirit defense, and the development of the PPP-REITs model to address these issue
Facile synthesis of a nickel sulfide (NiS) hierarchical flower for the electrochemical oxidation of H2O2 and the methanol oxidation reaction (MOR).
The synthesis of a novel hierarchical flower-like NiS via a solvothermal method for the electrochemcial oxidation of H2O2 on a carbon paste electrode with high catalytic activity for the (MOR) in an alkaline medium has been reported. Novel nickel sulfide (NiS) hierarchical flower-like structures were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope, and transmission electron microscopy. A carbon paste electrode was modified with the as-prepared hierarchical flower-like NiS, resulting in a high electrocatalytic activity toward the oxidation of H2O2. The NiS-modified electrode was used for H2O2 sensing, which was achieved over a wide linear range from 0.5 ÎźMto1.37mM(I/ÎźA =-0.19025 + 0.06094 C/mM) with a low limit of detection (LOD) of 0.3 ÎźM and a limit of quantitation (LOQ) of 0.8 ÎźM. The hierarchical flower-like NiS also exhibited a high electrocatalytic activity for the methanol oxidation reaction (MOR) in an alkaline medium with a high tolerance toward the catalyst-poisoning species generated during the MOR. The MOR proceeded via the direct electrooxidation of methanol on the oxidized NiS surface layer because the oxidation peak potential of the MOR was more positive than that of the oxidation of NiS
Analysis of gut microbiota and immune-related genes during sea cucumber (<em>Apostichopus japonicus</em>) response to dietary supplementation with <em>Codonopsis pilosula</em>
The gut microbiota composition of sea cucumber (Apostichopus japonicas) was investigated using high-throughput sequencing techniques. The mRNA expression of complement component 3 and lysozyme genes was evaluated using quantitative fluorescence PCR. Sea cucumbers were fed with a basal diet (control group) and an experimental diet supplemented with Codonopsis pilosula (experimental group) for 30 days. The results showed that the alpha diversity of the gut microbiota was changed in different indices, including Chao1, the abundance-based coverage estimator, the Shannon index, and Good's coverage. Dietary C. pilosula promoted the proliferation of the Flavobacteriaceae family of the Proteobacteria phylum and reduced the relative abundance of the Verrucomicrobiaceae family of the Verrucomicrobia phylum. We concluded that dietary C. pilosula supplementation could alter the network interactions among different microbial functional groups by changing the ecological network's microbial community composition and biological evolution. A positive effect on A. japonicus immune responses in the gut was seen via increasing the mRNA expression of the complement component 3 and lysozyme genes. Can digital financial inclusion help reduce migrant workersâ overwork? Evidence from China
IntroductionMigrant workers in China are migrants from the rural to the urban areas who usually work in the cities and return to the countryside after a certain period. Due to Chinaâs strict household registration system, they differ significantly from urban residentsâ access to public services. However, at the same time, Chinaâs workers are facing a severe phenomenon of overwork, and the group of migrant workers is even more hard-hit by overwork, which will cause various adverse effects on workers and society and should attract the attention of all sectors of society.MethodsThis paper focuses on the impact of digital financial inclusion on the overwork of migrant workers. This study considered cross-sectional data containing 98,047 samples based on the 2017 China Migrants Dynamic Survey 2017 (CMDS) and China Municipal Statistical Yearbook after robustness tests and heterogeneity analysis using probit models.Results(1) digital financial inclusion can effectively alleviate overwork among migrant workers; (2) the impact of digital finance on overwork is more significant for the new generation, digitized industries, and self-employed migrant workers; it is also more significant for the South, East, and small and medium-sized cities than for the North, the Midwest, and large cities; (3) job quality and income are crucial factors in how digital financial inclusion affects overwork among migrant workers. Digital financial inclusion can improve the quality of employment for migrant workers and alleviate overwork. However, the income substitution effect partially reduces the inhibitory impact of digital financial inclusion on overwork.ConclusionContinuously promote the development of digital inclusive finance, improve laws and regulations, and protect the labor rights and interests of migrant workers. At the same time, vocational training and skills upgrading for rural migrant workers should be strengthened to improve the quality of their employment so that they can leave the secondary labor market and enter the primary labor market
Prevalence of Childhood Atopic Dermatitis: An Urban and Rural Community-Based Study in Shanghai, China
Background: Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a common inflammatory and chronically relapsing disorder with increasing prevalence. However, little is known about its prevalence in Shanghai, the top metropolitan of China. This study will estimate and compare the prevalence of AD in urban and rural areas in representative samples of 3 to 6-year-old children in Shanghai. Methodology/Principal Findings: A descriptive cross-sectional study was performed. Pre-school children were obtained by cluster sampling from 8 communities in different districts in Shanghai. The main instrument was the core questionnaire module for AD used in the U.K. Working Partyâs study. All the data were statistically analyzed by EpiData 3.1 and SPSS16.0. A total of 10436 children completed the study satisfactorily, with a response rate of 95.8%. The prevalence of AD in 3 to 6-year-old children was 8.3 % (Male: 8.5%, Female: 8.2%). The prevalence in urban areas of Shanghai was gradiently and significantly higher than that in rural areas. The highest prevalence was in the core urban area (10.2 % in Xuhui Tianping) vs. the lowest far from the urban areas (4.6 % in Chongming Baozhen). Empagliflozin alleviates atherosclerotic calcification by inhibiting osteogenic differentiation of vascular smooth muscle cells
SGLT-2 inhibitors, such as empagliflozin, have been shown to reduce the occurrence of cardiovascular events and delay the progression of atherosclerosis. However, its role in atherosclerotic calcification remains unclear. In this research, ApoEâ/â mice were fed with western diet and empagliflozin was added to the drinking water for 24Â weeks. Empagliflozin treatment significantly alleviated arterial calcification assessed by alizarin red and von kossa staining in aortic roots and reduced the lipid levels, while had little effect on body weight and blood glucose levels in ApoEâ/â mice. In vitro studies, empagliflozin significantly inhibits calcification of primary vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) and aortic rings induced by osteogenic media (OM) or inorganic phosphorus (Pi). RNA sequencing of VSMCs cultured in OM with or without empagliflozin showed that empagliflozin negatively regulated the osteogenic differentiation of VSMCs. And further studies confirmed that empagliflozin significantly inhibited osteogenic differentiation of VSMCs via qRT-PCR. Our study demonstrates that empagliflozin alleviates atherosclerotic calcification by inhibiting osteogenic differentiation of VSMCs, which addressed a critical need for the discovery of a drug-based therapeutic approach in the treatment of atherosclerotic calcification
GraphScope Flex: LEGO-like Graph Computing Stack
Graph computing has become increasingly crucial in processing large-scale
graph data, with numerous systems developed for this purpose. Two years ago, we
introduced GraphScope as a system addressing a wide array of graph computing
needs, including graph traversal, analytics, and learning in one system. Since
its inception, GraphScope has achieved significant technological advancements
and gained widespread adoption across various industries. However, one key
lesson from this journey has been understanding the limitations of a
"one-size-fits-all" approach, especially when dealing with the diversity of
programming interfaces, applications, and data storage formats in graph
computing. In response to these challenges, we present GraphScope Flex, the
next iteration of GraphScope. GraphScope Flex is designed to be both
resource-efficient and cost-effective, while also providing flexibility and
user-friendliness through its LEGO-like modularity. This paper explores the
architectural innovations and fundamental design principles of GraphScope Flex,
all of which are direct outcomes of the lessons learned during our ongoing
development process. We validate the adaptability and efficiency of GraphScope
Flex with extensive evaluations on synthetic and real-world datasets. The
results show that GraphScope Flex achieves 2.4X throughput and up to 55.7X
speedup over other systems on the LDBC Social Network and Graphalytics
benchmarks, respectively. Furthermore, GraphScope Flex accomplishes up to a
2,400X performance gain in real-world applications, demonstrating its
proficiency across a wide range of graph computing scenarios with increased
effectiveness
The Chinese Open Science Network (COSN): Building an Open Science Community From Scratch
Open Science is becoming a mainstream scientific ideology in psychology and related fields. However, researchers, especially early-career researchers (ECRs) in developing countries, are facing significant hurdles in engaging in Open Science and moving it forward. In China, various societal and cultural factors discourage ECRs from participating in Open Science, such as the lack of dedicated communication channels and the norm of modesty. To make the voice of Open Science heard by Chinese-speaking ECRs and scholars at large, the Chinese Open Science Network (COSN) was initiated in 2016. With its core values being grassroots-oriented, diversity, and inclusivity, COSN has grown from a small Open Science interest group to a recognized network both in the Chinese-speaking research community and the international Open Science community. So far, COSN has organized three in-person workshops, 12 tutorials, 48 talks, and 55 journal club sessions and translated 15 Open Science-related articles and blogs from English to Chinese. Currently, the main social media account of COSN (i.e., the WeChat Official Account) has more than 23,000 subscribers, and more than 1,000 researchers/students actively participate in the discussions on Open Science. In this article, we share our experience in building such a network to encourage ECRs in developing countries to start their own Open Science initiatives and engage in the global Open Science movement. We foresee great collaborative efforts of COSN together with all other local and international networks to further accelerate the Open Science movement
