    YOLO-Ant: A Lightweight Detector via Depthwise Separable Convolutional and Large Kernel Design for Antenna Interference Source Detection

    In the era of 5G communication, removing interference sources that affect communication is a resource-intensive task. The rapid development of computer vision has enabled unmanned aerial vehicles to perform various high-altitude detection tasks. Because the field of object detection for antenna interference sources has not been fully explored, this industry lacks dedicated learning samples and detection models for this specific task. In this article, an antenna dataset is created to address important antenna interference source detection issues and serves as the basis for subsequent research. We introduce YOLO-Ant, a lightweight CNN and transformer hybrid detector specifically designed for antenna interference source detection. Specifically, we initially formulated a lightweight design for the network depth and width, ensuring that subsequent investigations were conducted within a lightweight framework. Then, we propose a DSLK-Block module based on depthwise separable convolution and large convolution kernels to enhance the network's feature extraction ability, effectively improving small object detection. To address challenges such as complex backgrounds and large interclass differences in antenna detection, we construct DSLKVit-Block, a powerful feature extraction module that combines DSLK-Block and transformer structures. Considering both its lightweight design and accuracy, our method not only achieves optimal performance on the antenna dataset but also yields competitive results on public datasets

    The impact of serum uric acid on psoriasis: NHANES 2005–2014 and Mendelian randomization

    Background:Psoriasis is a chronic systemic inflammatory disease, and hyperuricemia is a common comorbidity in patients with psoriasis. However, the exact relationship between uric acid levels and psoriasis remains unclear. This study aimed to explore the association between uric acid levels and psoriasis.Methods:Observational study participant data (≥16 years, n = 23,489) from NHANES 2003–2014. We conducted analyses using a weighted multiple logistic regression model. Genetic data sets for uric acid levels and psoriasis were obtained from the IEU database. We selected genetically independent loci closely associated with serum uric acid levels as instrumental variables and performed Mendelian randomization analyses using five complementary methods: inverse variance weighting (IVW), MR-Egger, weighted median, simple mode, and weighted mode.Results:After adjusting for other covariates, the results revealed no significant association between serum uric acid levels and psoriasis (b = 0.999, 95% CI: 0.998, 1.001, p = 0.275). Subgroup analyses stratified by gender and ethnicity showed no significant association between sUA and psoriasis in any of the subgroups. Furthermore, the MR analysis involved the selection of 227 SNPs that were associated with both sUA and psoriasis. IVW results demonstrated no causal relationship between sUA and psoriasis (OR = 0.282, 95% CI: -0.094–0.657, p = 0.142).Conclusion:Our study suggests that uric acid levels are not significantly causally related to psoriasis. This finding provides valuable insights for the treatment and prevention of psoriasis, indicating that merely reducing uric acid levels may not be an effective strategy to reduce the risk of psoriasis onset

    Association of IL-1beta gene polymorphism with cachexia from locally advanced gastric cancer

    BACKGROUND: IL-1beta has been implicated in inflammatory episode. In view of the inflammatory nature of cancer cachexia, we determined the predictive value of IL-1B-31 T/C, -511 C/T, +3954 C/T and IL-1RN VNTR gene polymorphisms on the occurrence of cachexia associated with locally advanced gastric cancer. METHODS: The study included 214 patients and 230 healthy volunteers. Genomic DNA was prepared from peripheral blood leukocytes. Genotypes and allele frequencies were determined in patients and healthy controls using restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis of polymerase chain reaction products. RESULTS: The overall frequencies of IL-1B-31 T, -511 T, +3954 T and IL-1RN VNTR alleles in patients with locally advanced gastric cancer were all comparable with those in controls. No significant differences were found in the distribution of IL-1B-31 T, -511 T and IL-1RN VNTR between patients with cachexia and without. Patients with cachexia showed a significantly higher prevalence of IL-1B+3954 T allele than those without (P = 0.018). In a logistic regression analysis adjusted for actual weight, carcinoma location and stage, the IL-1B+3954 CT genotype was associated with an odds ratio of 2.512 (95% CI, 1.180 – 5.347) for cachexia. CONCLUSION: The IL-1B+3954 T allele is a major risk for cachexia from locally gastric cancer. Genetic factors studied are not likely to play an important role in the determination of susceptibility to locally advanced gastric cancer

    Challenges in QCD matter physics - The Compressed Baryonic Matter experiment at FAIR

    Substantial experimental and theoretical efforts worldwide are devoted to explore the phase diagram of strongly interacting matter. At LHC and top RHIC energies, QCD matter is studied at very high temperatures and nearly vanishing net-baryon densities. There is evidence that a Quark-Gluon-Plasma (QGP) was created at experiments at RHIC and LHC. The transition from the QGP back to the hadron gas is found to be a smooth cross over. For larger net-baryon densities and lower temperatures, it is expected that the QCD phase diagram exhibits a rich structure, such as a first-order phase transition between hadronic and partonic matter which terminates in a critical point, or exotic phases like quarkyonic matter. The discovery of these landmarks would be a breakthrough in our understanding of the strong interaction and is therefore in the focus of various high-energy heavy-ion research programs. The Compressed Baryonic Matter (CBM) experiment at FAIR will play a unique role in the exploration of the QCD phase diagram in the region of high net-baryon densities, because it is designed to run at unprecedented interaction rates. High-rate operation is the key prerequisite for high-precision measurements of multi-differential observables and of rare diagnostic probes which are sensitive to the dense phase of the nuclear fireball. The goal of the CBM experiment at SIS100 (sqrt(s_NN) = 2.7 - 4.9 GeV) is to discover fundamental properties of QCD matter: the phase structure at large baryon-chemical potentials (mu_B > 500 MeV), effects of chiral symmetry, and the equation-of-state at high density as it is expected to occur in the core of neutron stars. In this article, we review the motivation for and the physics programme of CBM, including activities before the start of data taking in 2022, in the context of the worldwide efforts to explore high-density QCD matter.Comment: 15 pages, 11 figures.     Economic Evaluation of Nemonoxacin, Moxifloxacin and Levofloxacin in the Treatment of Early Community-Acquired Pneumonia with Possible Pulmonary Tuberculosis

    The Chinese community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) Diagnosis and Treatment Guideline 2020 recommends quinolone antibiotics as the initial empirical treatment options for CAP. However, patients with pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) are often misdiagnosed with CAP because of the similarity of symptoms. Moxifloxacin and levofloxacin have inhibitory effects on mycobacterium tuberculosis as compared with nemonoxacin, resulting in delayed diagnosis of PTB. Hence, the aim of this study is to compare the cost-effectiveness of nemonoxacin, moxifloxacin and levofloxacin in the treatment of CAP and to determine the value of these treatments in the differential diagnosis of PTB. Primary efficacy data were collected from phase II-III randomized, double-blind, multi-center clinical trials comparing nemonoxacin to moxifloxacin (CTR20130195) and nemonoxacin to levofloxacin (CTR20140439) for the treatment of Chinese CAP patients. A decision tree was constructed to compare the cost-utility among three groups under the perspective of healthcare system. The threshold for willingness to pay (WTP) is 1–3 times GDP per capita (11,174–33,521). Scenarios including efficacy and cost for CAP patients with a total of 6% undifferentiated PTB. Sensitivity and scenario analyses were performed to test the robustness of basic analysis. The costs of nemonoxacin, moxifloxacin, and levofloxacin were 903.72, 1053.59,and1053.59, and 1212.06 and the outcomes were 188.7, 188.8, and 188.5 quality-adjusted life days (QALD), respectively. Nemonoxacin and moxifloxacin were dominant compared with levofloxacin, and the ICER of moxifloxacin compared with nemonoxacin was 551,643,whichwasmuchgreaterthanWTP;therefore,nemonoxacinwasthemostcosteffectiveoption.RegardingpatientswithPTBwhoweremisdiagnosedwithCAP,takingnemonoxacincouldsave551,643, which was much greater than WTP; therefore, nemonoxacin was the most cost-effective option. Regarding patients with PTB who were misdiagnosed with CAP, taking nemonoxacin could save 290.76 and $205.51 when compared with moxifloxacin and levofloxacin and resulted in a gain of 2.83 QALDs. Our findings demonstrate that nemonoxacin is the more economical compared with moxifloxacin and levofloxacin, and non-fluoroquinolone antibiotics are cost-saving and utility-increasing compared to fluoroquinolones in the differential diagnosis of PTB, which can help healthcare system in making optimal policies and help clinicians in the medication of patients

    Segregation of alloying elements at the TiC/V interface: A first-principles study

    For precipitation/matrix coherent interface, the interfacial segregation behavior of solute atom plays a vital role in controlling the effectiveness of precipitation strengthening of the alloy. In this study, first-principles calculations based on density functional theory are used to figure out the interfacial structure of precipitates/vanadium and explain how solute atoms segregate at the interface and affect the interfacial strengthening. Firstly, according to the Baker-Nutting orientation relationship, the equilibrium interface structures are obtained. Meanwhiles, the segregation behavior of solute atoms at the different interfaces in vanadium alloys was studied. It is found that elements Sc, Ti, Y, Zr, Hf, and Ta, in the TiC/V(100) interface, tend to segregate at the interface, while other ones are not easy to segregate. The alloy elements show the same segregation trend as the TiC/V(100) interface, except for Nb, which also tends to segregate at the TiC/V(110) interface. According to the calculation, it is found that the alloying element with the larger atomic size and Voronoi volume is more likely to segregate into the interface, indicating that the atomic size effect dominates alloying element segregation at the two interfaces. The findings of this work can be used to develop theoretical approaches for future alloy designs by controlling alloying element doping

    Serum uric acid to creatinine ratio as a risk factor for mortality among patients on continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis: a multi-center retrospective study

    AbstractBackground Serum uric acid to serum creatinine ratio (SUA/Scr) has emerged as a new biomarker, which is significantly associated with several metabolic diseases. However, no study has investigated the association between SUA/Scr and mortality among patients on continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD).Methods In this multicenter retrospective cohort study, we enrolled CAPD patients in eight tertiary hospitals in China from 1 January 2005 to 31 May 2021. Cox proportional hazard models were used to determine the relationship between SUA/Scr and mortality.Results A total of 2480 patients were included; the mean age was 48.9 ± 13.9 years and 56.2% were males. During 12648.0 person-years of follow-up, 527 (21.3%) patients died, of which 267 (50.7%) deaths were caused by cardiovascular disease. After multivariable adjustment for covariates, per unit increase in SUA/Scr was associated with a 62.9% (HR, 1.629 (95% confidence interval (CI) 1.420–1.867)) and 73.0% (HR, 1.730 (95% CI 1.467–2.041)) higher risk of all-cause and cardiovascular mortality. Results were similar when categorized individuals by SUA/Scr quartiles. Compared with the lowest quartile of SUA/Scr, the highest and the second highest quartile of SUA/Scr had a 2.361-fold (95% CI 1.810–3.080) and 1.325-fold (95% CI 1.003–1.749) higher risk of all-cause mortality, as well as a 3.701-fold (95% CI 2.496–5.489) and 2.074-fold (95% CI 1.387–3.100) higher risk of cardiovascular mortality. Multivariable-adjusted spline regression models showed nonlinear association of SUA/Scr with mortality in CAPD patients.Conclusions Higher levels of SUA/Scr were associated with higher risk of all-cause and cardiovascular mortality in CAPD patients
