In the college and university, it is not only changing greatly the university student\u27s life, it also shaping university student’s life, value and the world outlook. Thus, it has become the necessity that improving media literacy of the ideological and political workers to make media literacy education being integrated into the ideological and political workers and teach students carry out a scientific, rational contact and use with media. Based on all these, this paper discusses the inevitability and feasibility of the combination of media literacy education and ideological and political education, and puts forward some proposed means of their integrations

    PlanarTrack: A Large-scale Challenging Benchmark for Planar Object Tracking

    Planar object tracking is a critical computer vision problem and has drawn increasing interest owing to its key roles in robotics, augmented reality, etc. Despite rapid progress, its further development, especially in the deep learning era, is largely hindered due to the lack of large-scale challenging benchmarks. Addressing this, we introduce PlanarTrack, a large-scale challenging planar tracking benchmark. Specifically, PlanarTrack consists of 1,000 videos with more than 490K images. All these videos are collected in complex unconstrained scenarios from the wild, which makes PlanarTrack, compared with existing benchmarks, more challenging but realistic for real-world applications. To ensure the high-quality annotation, each frame in PlanarTrack is manually labeled using four corners with multiple-round careful inspection and refinement. To our best knowledge, PlanarTrack, to date, is the largest and most challenging dataset dedicated to planar object tracking. In order to analyze the proposed PlanarTrack, we evaluate 10 planar trackers and conduct comprehensive comparisons and in-depth analysis. Our results, not surprisingly, demonstrate that current top-performing planar trackers degenerate significantly on the challenging PlanarTrack and more efforts are needed to improve planar tracking in the future. In addition, we further derive a variant named PlanarTrackBB_{\mathbf{BB}} for generic object tracking from PlanarTrack. Our evaluation of 10 excellent generic trackers on PlanarTrackBB_{\mathrm{BB}} manifests that, surprisingly, PlanarTrackBB_{\mathrm{BB}} is even more challenging than several popular generic tracking benchmarks and more attention should be paid to handle such planar objects, though they are rigid.     The lncRNA MALAT1 rs619586 G Variant Confers Decreased Susceptibility to Recurrent Miscarriage

    Cardiovascula disease and recurrent miscarriage have shared risk factors, and some cardiovascular disease-related candidate genes have been confirmed to be associated with recurrent miscarriage. Metastasis-associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1 (MALAT1) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) that is considered to be associated with susceptibility to cardiovascular disease. However, whether lncRNA MALAT1 polymorphisms are related to recurrent miscarriage susceptibility is unclear. We genotyped three lncRNA MALAT1 polymorphisms (rs591291, rs619586, and rs3200401) in 284 patients and 392 controls using TaqMan methods. Logistic regression was used to evaluate the odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) adjusted for age. Our results showed that the rs619586 G variant had protective effects against recurrent miscarriage (AG vs. AA: adjusted OR = 0.670, 95% CI = 0.457–0.982, p = 0.040; GG vs. AA: adjusted OR = 0.278, 95% CI = 0.079–0.975, p = 0.046; GG/AG vs. AA adjusted OR = 0.621, 95% CI = 0.429–0.900, p = 0.012). In a combined analyses of protective genotypes, with regard to the three single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), we found that individuals with two or three protective genotypes exhibited a significantly lower risk of recurrent miscarriage than those with no or only one protective genotype (adjusted OR = 0.369, 95% CI = 0.199–0.684, p = 0.002). Moreover, the decrease in recurrent miscarriage risk with two or three protective genotypes was most pronounced in women less than 35 years of age (OR = 0.290, 95% CI = 0.142–0.589, p < 0.001) and in women with 2–3 miscarriages (adjusted OR = 0.270, 95% CI = 0.126–0.580, p < 0.001). In conclusion, our study suggests that the rs619586 G variant may have potential protective effects conferring a decreased risk of recurrent miscarriage in the southern Chinese population

    Generalize Ultrasound Image Segmentation via Instant and Plug & Play Style Transfer

    Deep segmentation models that generalize to images with unknown appearance are important for real-world medical image analysis. Retraining models leads to high latency and complex pipelines, which are impractical in clinical settings. The situation becomes more severe for ultrasound image analysis because of their large appearance shifts. In this paper, we propose a novel method for robust segmentation under unknown appearance shifts. Our contribution is three-fold. First, we advance a one-stage plug-and-play solution by embedding hierarchical style transfer units into a segmentation architecture. Our solution can remove appearance shifts and perform segmentation simultaneously. Second, we adopt Dynamic Instance Normalization to conduct precise and dynamic style transfer in a learnable manner, rather than previously fixed style normalization. Third, our solution is fast and lightweight for routine clinical adoption. Given 400*400 image input, our solution only needs an additional 0.2ms and 1.92M FLOPs to handle appearance shifts compared to the baseline pipeline. Extensive experiments are conducted on a large dataset from three vendors demonstrate our proposed method enhances the robustness of deep segmentation models

    Risk factors and early markers for echovirus type 11 associated haemorrhage-hepatitis syndrome in neonates, a retrospective cohort study

    BackgroundEchovirus type 11(E-11) can cause fatal haemorrhage-hepatitis syndrome in neonates. This study aims to investigate clinical risk factors and early markers of E-11 associated neonatal haemorrhage-hepatitis syndrome.MethodsThis is a multicentre retrospective cohort study of 105 neonates with E-11 infection in China. Patients with haemorrhage-hepatitis syndrome (the severe group) were compared with those with mild disease. Clinical risk factors and early markers of haemorrhage-hepatitis syndrome were analysed. In addition, cytokine analysis were performed in selective patients to explore the immune responses.ResultsIn addition to prematurity, low birth weight, premature rupture of fetal membrane, total parenteral nutrition (PN) (OR, 28.7; 95% CI, 2.8–295.1) and partial PN (OR, 12.9; 95% CI, 2.2–77.5) prior to the onset of disease were identified as risk factors of developing haemorrhage-hepatitis syndrome. Progressive decrease in haemoglobin levels (per 10 g/L; OR, 1.5; 95% CI, 1.1–2.0) and platelet (PLT) < 140 × 10⁹/L at early stage of illness (OR, 17.7; 95% CI, 1.4–221.5) were associated with the development of haemorrhage-hepatitis syndrome. Immunological workup revealed significantly increased interferon-inducible protein-10(IP-10) (P < 0.0005) but decreased IFN-α (P < 0.05) in peripheral blood in severe patients compared with the mild cases.ConclusionsPN may potentiate the development of E-11 associated haemorrhage-hepatitis syndrome. Early onset of thrombocytopenia and decreased haemoglobin could be helpful in early identification of neonates with the disease. The low level of IFN-α and elevated expression of IP-10 may promote the progression of haemorrhage-hepatitis syndrome

    Prevalence, associated factors and outcomes of pressure injuries in adult intensive care unit patients: the DecubICUs study

Epidemiologic data is however unavailable. We aimed to provide an international picture of the extent of pressure injuries and factors associated with ICU-acquired pressure injuries in adult ICU patients. Methods: International 1-day point-prevalence study; follow-up for outcome assessment until hospital discharge (maximum 12 weeks). Factors associated with ICU-acquired pressure injury and hospital mortality were assessed by generalised linear mixed-effects regression analysis. Results: Data from 13,254 patients in 1117 ICUs (90 countries) revealed 6747 pressure injuries; 3997 (59.2%) were ICU-acquired. Overall prevalence was 26.6% (95% confidence interval [CI] 25.9–27.3). ICU-acquired prevalence was 16.2% (95% CI 15.6–16.8). Sacrum (37%) and heels (19.5%) were most affected. Factors independently associated with ICU-acquired pressure injuries were older age, male sex, being underweight, emergency surgery, higher Simplified Acute Physiology Score II, Braden score 3 days, comorbidities (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, immunodeficiency), organ support (renal replacement, mechanical ventilation on ICU admission), and being in a low or lower-middle income-economy. Gradually increasing associations with mortality were identified for increasing severity of pressure injury: stage I (odds ratio [OR] 1.5; 95% CI 1.2–1.8), stage II (OR 1.6; 95% CI 1.4–1.9), and stage III or worse (OR 2.8; 95% CI 2.3–3.3). Conclusion: Pressure injuries are common in adult ICU patients. ICU-acquired pressure injuries are associated with mainly intrinsic factors and mortality. Optimal care standards, increased awareness, appropriate resource allocation, and further research into optimal prevention are pivotal to tackle this important patient safety threat
