A Density Control Based Adaptive Hexahedral Mesh Generation Algorithm
A density control based adaptive hexahedral mesh generation algorithm for three dimensional models is presented in this paper. The first step of this algorithm is to identify the characteristic boundary of the solid model which needs to be meshed. Secondly, the refinement fields are constructed and modified according to the conformal refinement templates, and used as a metric to generate an initial grid structure. Thirdly, a jagged core mesh is generated by removing all the elements in the exterior of the solid model. Fourthly, all of the surface nodes of the jagged core mesh are matching to the surfaces of the model through a node projection process. Finally, the mesh quality such as topology and shape is improved by using corresponding optimization techniques
Efficacy of Wushaoshe Qufeng Tablet and leflunomide combination therapy in the management of rheumatoid arthritis, and its influence on incidence of adverse drug reactions
Purpose: To study the effectiveness and safety of combined use of Wushaoshe Qufeng tablets andleflunomide in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis patients. Methods: A retrospective trial was conducted among 120 patients with rheumatoid arthritis hospitalized in Heyuan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Heyuan, from February 2020 to February 2021. The patients were equally divided into study group (n = 60) and control group (n = 60). Both groups received conventional treatment. in addition, the control group received leflunomide, whereas the experimental group received Wushaoshe Qufeng tablets. The two groups were compared with respect to laboratory indicators, TCM syndrome scores, and adverse events. Results: The post-treatment TCM syndrome scores was lower in the experimental group versus control group (p < 0.001). After treatment, the study group was superior to the control group in terms of their biochemical indicators (p < 0.001). Safety profile was better in the study group than in the control group (p < 0.05). Treatment effectiveness was significantly higher in the study group than in the control group (p < 0.05).Conclusion: Combined treatment of rheumatoid arthritis patients with Wushaoshe Qufeng tablets and leflunomide shows improved biochemical indicators, mitigates clinical symptoms, and enhances treatment effectiveness. Moreover, the combination therapy is safe, and therefore, should be considered for the management of rheumatoid arthritis patients
The resonance, inelastic dark matter, and new physics anomalies in the Simple Extension of the Standard Model (SESM) with general scalar potential
We consider the generic scalar potential with CP-violation, and study the
resonance and inelastic dark matter in the Simple Extension of the Standard
Model (SESM), which can explain the dark matter as well as new physics
anomalies such as the B physics anomalies and muon anomalous magnetic moment,
etc. With the new scalar potential terms, we obtain the mass splittings for the
real and imaginary parts of scalar fields. And thus we can have the DM
co-annihilation process mediated by boson, which couples exclusively to the
CP-even and CP-odd parts of scalar fields. This is a brand new feature compared
to the previous study. For the CP conserving case, we present the viable
parameter space for the Higgs and resonances, which can explain the B
physics anomalies, muon anomalous magnetic moment, and dark matter relic
density, as well as evade the constraint from the XENON1T direct detection
simultaneously. For the CP-violating case, we consider the inelastic dark
matter, and study four concrete scenarios for the inelastic DM-nucleon
scatterings mediated by the Higgs and bosons in details. Also, we present
the benchmark points which satisfy the aforementioned constraints. Furthermore,
we investigate the constraints from the dark matter-electron inelastic
scattering processes mediated by the Higgs and bosons in light of the
XENONnT data. We show that the constraint on the mediated process is weak,
while the Higgs mediated process excludes the dark matter with mass around
several MeV.Comment: 22 pages, 6 figures, 5 table
Direct Simulation of Low-Re Flow around a Square Cylinder by Numerical Manifold Method for Navier-Stokes Equations
Numerical manifold method was applied to directly solve Navier-Stokes (N-S) equations for incompressible viscous flow in this paper, and numerical manifold schemes for N-S equations coupled velocity and pressure were derived based on Galerkin weighted residuals method as well. Mixed cover with linear polynomial function for velocity and constant function for pressure was employed in finite element cover system. As an application, mixed cover 4-node rectangular manifold element has been used to simulate the incompressible viscous flow around a square cylinder in a channel. Numerical tests illustrate that NMM is an effective and high-order accurate numerical method for incompressible viscous flow N-S equations
Validation of Konsung Compass 2000 Dry Biochemical Analyzer
Dry biochemical analyzers have been increasingly popular in many tests by primary hospitals, field hospitals and other areas subject to economic and medical underdevelopment as well as poor transportation. With the increasing demand for POCT in primary medical care around the world, upgrading of dry biochemical analyzers has been a hot topic in technical research. Against such context, Konsung Compass2000 dry biochemical analyzer, a POCT system with high precision and accuracy, is developed. Furthermore, the upgraded dry biochemical analyzers can, in a more convenient and accurate way, monitor glucose, lipid and other indices affecting the course of chronic diseases
Bifurcation in a Discrete Competition System
A new difference system is induced from a differential competition system by different discrete methods. We give theoretical analysis for local bifurcation of the fixed points and derive the conditions under which the local bifurcations such as flip occur at the fixed points. Furthermore, one- and two-dimensional diffusion systems are given when diffusion terms are added. We provide the Turing instability conditions by linearization method and inner product technique for the diffusion system with periodic boundary conditions. A series of numerical simulations are performed that not only verify the theoretical analysis, but also display some interesting dynamics
A Multidomain Survivable Virtual Network Mapping Algorithm
Although the existing networks are more often deployed in the multidomain environment, most of existing researches focus on single-domain networks and there are no appropriate solutions for the multidomain virtual network mapping problem. In fact, most studies assume that the underlying network can operate without any interruption. However, physical networks cannot ensure the normal provision of network services for external reasons and traditional single-domain networks have difficulties to meet user needs, especially for the high security requirements of the network transmission. In order to solve the above problems, this paper proposes a survivable virtual network mapping algorithm (IntD-GRC-SVNE) that implements multidomain mapping in network virtualization. IntD-GRC-SVNE maps the virtual communication networks onto different domain networks and provides backup resources for virtual links which improve the survivability of the special networks. Simulation results show that IntD-GRC-SVNE can not only improve the survivability of multidomain communications network but also render the network load more balanced and greatly improve the network acceptance rate due to employment of GRC (global resource capacity)
