Magnetic phase diagram in EuLaFeAs single crystals
We have systematically measured resistivity, susceptibility and specific heat
under different magnetic fields (H) in EuLaFeAs single
crystals. It is found that a metamagnetic transition from A-type
antiferromagnetism to ferromagnetism occurs at a critical field for magnetic
sublattice of . The jump of specific heat is suppressed and shifts to
low temperature with increasing H up to the critical value, then shifts to high
temperature with further increasing H. Such behavior supports the metamagnetic
transition. Detailed H-T phase diagrams for x=0 and 0.15 crystals are given,
and possible magnetic structure is proposed. Magnetoresistance measurements
indicate that there exists a strong coupling between local moment of
and charge in Fe-As layer. These results are very significant to understand the
underlying physics of FeAs superconductors.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figure

Properties and Performance of Two Wide Field of View Cherenkov/Fluorescence Telescope Array Prototypes
A wide field of view Cherenkov/fluorescence telescope array is one of the
main components of the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory project. To
serve as Cherenkov and fluorescence detectors, a flexible and mobile design is
adopted for easy reconfiguring of the telescope array. Two prototype telescopes
have been constructed and successfully run at the site of the ARGO-YBJ
experiment in Tibet. The features and performance of the telescopes are

Magneto-transport and magnetic susceptibility of SmFeAsO1-xFx (x = 0.0 and 0.20)
Bulk polycrystalline samples, SmFeAsO and the iso-structural superconducting
SmFeAsO0.80F0.20 are explored through resistivity with temperature under
magnetic field {\rho}(T, H), AC and DC magnetization (M-T), and Specific heat
(Cp) measurements. The Resistivity measurement shows superconductivity for x =
0.20 sample with Tc(onset) ~ 51.7K. The upper critical field, [Hc2(0)] is
estimated ~3770kOe by Ginzburg-Landau (GL) theory. Broadening of
superconducting transition in magneto transport is studied through thermally
activated flux flow in applied field up to 130 kOe. The flux flow activation
energy (U/kB) is estimated ~1215K for 1kOe field. Magnetic measurements
exhibited bulk superconductivity with lower critical field (Hc1) of ~1.2kOe at
2K. In normal state, the paramagnetic nature of compound confirms no trace of
magnetic impurity which orders ferromagnetically. AC susceptibility
measurements have been carried out for SmFeAsO0.80F0.20 sample at various
amplitude and frequencies of applied AC drive field. The inter-granular
critical current density (Jc) is estimated. Specific heat [Cp(T)] measurement
showed an anomaly at around 140K due to the SDW ordering of Fe, followed by
another peak at 5K corresponding to the antiferromagnetic (AFM) ordering of
Sm+3 ions in SmFeAsO compound. Interestingly the change in entropy (marked by
the Cp transition height) at 5K for Sm+3 AFM ordering is heavily reduced in
case of superconducting SmFeAsO0.80F0.20 sample.Comment: 18 pages text + Figs: comments/suggestions welcome

Hall effect and resistivity in underdoped cuprates
The behaviour of the Hall ratio as a function of temperature is
one of the most intriguing normal state properties of cuprate superconductors.
One feature of all the data is a maximum of in the normal state that
broadens and shifts to temperatures well above with decreasing doping. We
show that a model of preformed pairs-bipolarons provides a selfconsistent
quantitative description of together with in-plane resistivity and

An Asymmetric Cone Model for Halo Coronal Mass Ejections
Due to projection effects, coronagraphic observations cannot uniquely
determine parameters relevant to the geoeffectiveness of CMEs, such as the true
propagation speed, width, or source location. The Cone Model for Coronal Mass
Ejections (CMEs) has been studied in this respect and it could be used to
obtain these parameters. There are evidences that some CMEs initiate from a
flux-rope topology. It seems that these CMEs should be elongated along the
flux-rope axis and the cross section of the cone base should be rather
elliptical than circular. In the present paper we applied an asymmetric cone
model to get the real space parameters of frontsided halo CMEs (HCMEs) recorded
by SOHO/LASCO coronagraphs in 2002. The cone model parameters are generated
through a fitting procedure to the projected speeds measured at different
position angles on the plane of the sky. We consider models with the apex of
the cone located at the center and surface of the Sun. The results are compared
to the standard symmetric cone model

Muon-spin rotation and magnetization studies of chemical and hydrostatic pressure effects in EuFe_{2}(As_{1-x}P_{x})_{2}
The magnetic phase diagram of EuFe(AsP) was
investigated by means of magnetization and muon-spin rotation studies as a
function of chemical (isovalent substitution of As by P) and hydrostatic
pressure. The magnetic phase diagrams of the magnetic ordering of the Eu and Fe
spins with respect to P content and hydrostatic pressure are determined and
discussed. The present investigations reveal that the magnetic coupling between
the Eu and the Fe sublattices strongly depends on chemical and hydrostatic
pressure. It is found that chemical and hydrostatic pressure have a similar
effect on the Eu and Fe magnetic order.Comment: 11 pages, 10 figure
Measurements of the observed cross sections for exclusive light hadron production in e^+e^- annihilation at \sqrt{s}= 3.773 and 3.650 GeV
By analyzing the data sets of 17.3 pb taken at GeV
and 6.5 pb taken at GeV with the BESII detector at the
BEPC collider, we have measured the observed cross sections for 12 exclusive
light hadron final states produced in annihilation at the two energy
points. We have also set the upper limits on the observed cross sections and
the branching fractions for decay to these final states at 90%
