    PEMELIHARAAN KEBUN KARET RAKYAT DI DESA SUNGAI DUREN KABUPATEN MUARA ENIM

    ABSTRAKTanaman karet ialah tanaman yang sangat diutamakan untuk tingkat perekonomian karena hasil dari penjualan karet ini sangat mempengaruhi tingkat kesejahteraan petani. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sistem pemeliharaan dan pengelolaan serta kondisi sosial ekonomi petani karet di desa sungai duren. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini menggunakan metode wawancara dan observasi secara langsung kepada petani karet di desa sungai duren serta menerapkan mekanisme pengelolaan karet secara mandiri dan menyerahkannya kepada pihat lain. Penerapan tersebut dilakukan oleh petani karet berdasarkan perspektif pilihan rasional mereka, mekanisme pengelolaan yang dipilih para petani karet ini berdampak pada ketimpangan pendapatan yang mereka proleh. Dari hasil observasi yang telah dilakukan penulis, pada umumnya petani disana umumnya petani disana melakukan perawatan dengan cara sederhana yaitu dengan pembibitan, pengelolaan tanah, penanaman dan penyulaman karat, serta pemupukan. Sistem pengelolan kebun karet di desa sungai duren sudah cukup baik dikarenakan sistem pengelolaan yang dilakukan ketentuan sistem produksi dalam penanaman kebun karet. Kata kunci: karet rakyat; sistem pengelolan; sosial ekonomi; desa sungai duren. ABSTRACTRubber plants are plants that are highly prioritized for the economic level because the results and sales of rubber greatly affect the welfare of farmers. This community service activity aims to determine the system of maintenance and management as well as the socio-economic conditions of rubber farmers in Sungai Duren Village. Direct observation to rubber farmers in the Sungai Duren village implementing an independent rubber management mechanism and hand it over to the other party. The application carried out by rubber farmers based on the perspective their rational choice of management mechanism chosen by these rubber farmers impact on their income inequality. And based on the observations made by the author, in general, farmers there generally carry out maintenance in a simple way, namely by nursery, soil management, planting and replanting rust, and fertilization.     Bioactivity Potential and Chemical Compounds of Cinnamomum: Literature Review

    Cinnamon is a spice commodity that contains chemical compounds and bioactive components that have the potential to be developed as medicinal raw materials in the pharmaceutical industry. Biological activity in cinnamon can increase and stimulate the body's immune system. This study aims to present a summary of the literature review to unify the overall information on bioactivity and chemical compound content in cinnamon. The research method uses the literature review method with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) meta-analysis approach. The literature review of original research articles shows a variety of properties found in cinnamon plants because of alleged chemical compounds including cinnamaldehyde, phenolics, flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, tannins, polyphenols, triterpenoids as potential bioactivities, namely immunomodulator, antifungal, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antidiabetic and A-Glucosidase enzyme activity.     Identifikasi dan Evaluasi Karakter Fenotipik dan Agronomik 12 Galur Semangka

    Kegiatan pemuliaan tanaman untuk merakit varietas hibrida dimulai dengan koleksi plasma nutfah melalui introduksi ataupun varietas lokal, kemudian dilakukan kegiatan penggaluran hingga diperoleh galur murni. Karakterisasi merupakan salah satu tahap yang harus dilakukan dari kegiatan pemuliaan tanaman guna  merakit varietas hibrida. Generasi kedua merupakan generasi penting untuk menentukan idiotipe tanaman yang diharapkan oleh pemulia. Percobaan ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi karakter fenotipik dan karakter agronomis yang tampak pada galur semangka generasi kedua. Percobaan dilaksanakan di lahan percobaan Program Studi Teknologi Perbenihan, Politeknik Negeri Lampung pada bulan April hingga Juni 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan materi genetic 12 galur semangka generasi ke-2 (S2). Benih dari masing-masing galur di tanam pada 12 belas bedengan kemudian data pengamatan dan pengujian dibuat deskripsi dan interpretasi serta dilaporkan sebagai hasil. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1) Diperoleh penampilan belum seragam (25% heterozigot dan 75% homozigot) untuk karakter pada masing-masing galur untuk karakter bentuk buah, warna kulit buah,ukuran daun dan lurik buah. Galur WM 190404 dan WM 190412 memiliki dua variasi warna daging buah yaitu warna kuning terang dan orange; 2) Galur semangka WM 190411 memiliki bobot yang masuk dalam kluster A (4,2 kg) dan kesebelas galur semangka lainya masuk kedalam kluster B dengan bobot rata-rata buah 2,2-3,7 kg; 3) Galur semangka WM 190411 memiliki kulit yang paling tebal yaitu (1,5 cm) sedangkan nilai tebal kulit buah terendah dimiliki oleh galur WM 190405 dan WM 190408 yaitu sebesar 1,1 cm; 4) Dua belas galur semangka seragam untuk karakter warna daun, warna mahkota bunga dan warna batang semangka; 5) Rata-rata PTT tertinggi dimiliki oleh galur WM 190402 yaitu 10,7 obrix

    [ENHANCING GROWTH AND YIELD OF SOYBEAN GROWN UNDER WATER-SATURATED CONDITIONS BY INORGANIC P AND EMPTY FRUIT BUNCH COMPOST AMENDMENTS IN ULTISOL]. The saturated soil culture practices with which to obtain high yield of soybean in Ultisol, characterized by high acidity, nutrient deficiencies and imbalances, should be  developed. This study was conducted to evaluate the beneficial effects of empty fruit bunch (EFB) compost combined with inorganic P application on growth and yield of soybean under water-saturated culture in Ultisol. This research was carried out from September to December 2022 in the rice field located in Kemumu Village, Arma Jaya District, North Bengkulu Regency, Bengkulu Province at an altitude of ±541 m above sea level. The field experiment was performed in factorial scheme based on a randomized complete block design with three replications. The experimental treatments included EFB compost as first factor at four levels (0, 5, 10, and 15 t/ha) and application of SP36 as second factor at four rates (0, 75, 150, and 225 kg/ha). Results show that Ultisol amended with a combination of 15 t/ha EFB compost and 75 kg/ha P2O5 resulted in the highest number of seeds per plant (about 142.266 seeds). The number of productive branches, fresh shoot weight, root dry weight, and root nodule weight was the highest in soil solely ammended with EFB compost at 15 t/ha. The sole P application at 225 kg/ha significantly (p<0.05) increased root dry weight and root nodule weight.
