    Photocatalytic Degradation Of Phenol By Silica Gel-Supported Titania Nanotubes

    TiO2 nanotubes and immobilized TiO2 nanotubes were successfully synthesized by a hydrothermal method and binding method. The produced photocatalysts were characterized by the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) method, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The photocatalytic activities of the photocatalysts were evaluated through the photocatalytic degradation of aqueous phenol solution in a batch reactor. TiO2 nanotubes produced at 130 °C for 3 h showed the highest degradation rate of phenol compared with the other samples prepared at 130 °C for 1 h, 5 h and 7 h, complete degradation being achieved in 130 min. Special focus was given in order to determine the optimum composition of each component (catalyst, support and binder) in the immobilization of TiO2 nanotubes. The highest efficiency of phenol degradation was achieved when the ratios of TiO2 nanotubes: silica gel: colloidal silica was 1:2:20. For the comparison, TiO2 nanotubes and immobilized TiO2 nanotubes showed higher photocatalytic activity as compared with pure TiO2. The photocatalytic performance of TiO2 nanotubes and immobilized TiO2 nanotubes achieved 100 % and 98.0 % respectively, of phenol degradation, whereas pure TiO2 attained only 77.0 % degradation.     Computational periscopy with an ordinary digital camera

    Computing the amounts of light arriving from different directions enables a diffusely reflecting surface to play the part of a mirror in a periscope—that is, perform non-line-of-sight imaging around an obstruction. Because computational periscopy has so far depended on light-travel distances being proportional to the times of flight, it has mostly been performed with expensive, specialized ultrafast optical systems^1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12. Here we introduce a two-dimensional computational periscopy technique that requires only a single photograph captured with an ordinary digital camera. Our technique recovers the position of an opaque object and the scene behind (but not completely obscured by) the object, when both the object and scene are outside the line of sight of the camera, without requiring controlled or time-varying illumination. Such recovery is based on the visible penumbra of the opaque object having a linear dependence on the hidden scene that can be modelled through ray optics. Non-line-of-sight imaging using inexpensive, ubiquitous equipment may have considerable value in monitoring hazardous environments, navigation and detecting hidden adversaries.We thank F. Durand, W.     Model of Innovative Wayang Wong for Millenial Generation to Meet 4.0 Industrial Revolution Era in Bali

    This study aims to develop an innovative Wayang Wong Performing Arts model for millennial to meet the 4.0 industrial revolution in Bali. This research was inspired by the imbalance between assumptions and reality in the field. Supposedly, Wayang Wong, as one of the local wisdom in the form of performing arts, is in demand in the community. However, the reality is different. This research was conducted by integrating qualitative and quantitative methods through several stages of development. The research model design was applied by means of participatory observation, and in-depth interviews targeting millennials (teenagers and children) in Bali. The conclusion of the research is a model of Innovative Wayang Wong that was developed by a new perspective regarding the millennial generation need with a new creation and new meanings.     Dalam memasuki era globalisasi pengusaha Rumah Makan harus jeli dalam memasarkan produknya. Keberhasilan Rumah Makan Ayam Bakar Wong Solo Cabang Yogyakarta dalam memasarkan keunggulan dan keunikan produknya tergantung dari cara penyampaian pesan kepada masyarakat. Dengan menggunakan strategi komunikasi pemasaran terpadu diharapkan nama Rumah Makan Ayam Bakar Wong Solo Cabang Yogyakarta akan semakin terkenal dan semakin menarik minat konsumen untuk mau datang ke rumah makan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi komunikasi pemasaran yang dilakukan oleh Rumah Makan Ayam Bakar Wong Solo Cabang Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini mengambil lokasi di Rumah Makan Ayam Bakar Wong Solo Cabang Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data diperoleh dari data primer dan data sekunder. Data dikumpulkan dengan wawancara, observasi dan studi kepustakaan. Teknik validitas data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik triangulasi data. Analisis data menggunakan analisis interaktif. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa Rumah Makan Ayam Bakar Wong Solo menerapkan strategi komunikasi pemasaran terpadu. Kegiatan komunikasi pemasaran terpadu yang digunakan adalah media cetak, media elektronik, publikasi, corporate identity, sponsorship, word of mouth (WOM), promosi penjualan, dan kolateral (Booklet/Leaflet). Media cetak yang digunakan adalah media cetak lokal. Sedangkan media elektornik, yaitu radio dan televisi. Publikasi yang dilakukan adalah dengan membuat blog di internet tentang Rumah Makan Ayam Bakar Wong Solo. Corporate identity ini ditunjukkan melalui logo dan papan nama Rumah Makan Ayam Bakar Wong Solo. Promosi penjualan dilakukan dengan cara memberikan voucher discount sebesar 10%. Sponsorship yang dilakukan adalah dengan menjadi sponsor kegiatan atau event yang diselenggarakan oleh kalangan pelajar atau mahasiswa atau acara seminar yang diselenggarakan di Yogyakarta. Selain sponsorship, word of mouth (WOM) juga digunakan sebagai sarana promosi, yaitu dengan getok tular. Penggunaan sarana koleteral (booklet/leaflet) dilakukan dengan menyebarkan leaflet kepada masyarakat umum
