    The purpose of the research is to acquire knowledge about the internal factors and external factors are a barrier to completion of the study in thesis writing student S1 in PTM JPTK UNS Surakarta. The source in this research are all students Mechanical Engineering Education JPTK FKIP UNS Surakarta class of 2006, 2007, and 2008. The sample is taken by using sampling purposive technique. The sample in this research are students Mechanical Engineering Education JPTK FKIP UNS Surakarta class of 2006, 2007, and 2008 which take courses thesis. The most dominant factor that inhibits completion of studies students PTM S1 JPTK FKIP UNS Surakarta, among others: (1) Internal factors is health factors, fatigue factors, and psychological factors.     The purpose of this study is to determine: (1) the effect of endmill cutter primary angel to the roughness level of steel ST 40 machining result by Tosuro CNC Milling controlled by GSK 983 Ma-H. (2) The effect of the endmill cutter flute amount to the roughness level of steel ST 40 machining result by Tosuro CNC Milling controlled by GSK 983 Ma-H. (3) a combination of primary angel and the flute amount of endmill cutter which produces the smallest level of roughness. This study is an experiment that uses two-factor variables (angle incision and the number of eyes slice endmill cutter) and one dependent variable (the level of surface roughness). This study was conducted at the Machining Practices Laboratory of SMK Warga Surakarta for the formation of Test Objects and implementation of the machining process using Tosuro CNC Milling controlled by GSK Ma-H. The level of the surface roughness conducted at Engineering Materials Laboratory of Mechanical Engineering Diploma, The Faculty of Engineering, GadjahMada University. The research method used in this study is an experimental method with analytic descriptive analytical techniques. The results showed that there was primary angel and the flute amount of endmill cutter effect to the roughness level of steel ST 40 machining result by Tosuro CNC Milling controlled by GSK 983 Ma-H. The smallest combination of primary angel and the flute amount of endmill cutter toward the roughness level of steel ST 40 machining results process by TS 218 CNC Milling is on the interaction between primary angel of 5° and 4 flutes of endmill cutter is equal to 0,2013 µm and the greatest of the roughness level of steel ST 40 machining results process by TS 218 CNC Milling is on the interaction between primary angel of 10° and 2 flutes of endmill cutter is equal to 0,4691 µm.     Serbuk tempurung kelapa dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif bahan kampas rem non-asbes sepeda motor. Dalam penelitian ini, pada komposisi serbuk tempurung kelapa 20%, serbuk aluminium 40%, resin 40% memiliki angka yang paling mendekati dengan kampas rem pembanding. Komposisi serbuk tempurung kelapa 20%, serbuk aluminium 40%, resin 40% memiliki angka keausan 0,071.10-7 mm2/kg. Komposisi serbuk tempurung kelpa 20%, serbuk aluminium 40%, resin 40% memiliki angka kekerasan 16,8 kgf/mm2. Dengan melakukan variasi komposisi akan didapat angka keausan dan kekerasan yang paling optimum. Variasi komposisi serbuk tempurung kelapa sangat berpengaruh terhadap angka keausan dan angka kekerasan sampel kampas rem.     The purpose of this research was to know the students readiness of Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program JPTK FKIP UNS in implementating industry practice and the value of indicators which obtained. This research is a quantitative descriptive. Research subjects were students of Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program JPTK FKIP UNS 2009, as many as 56 students. The research sample as many as 48 students. Sampling technique was proportionate random sampling. Sampling technique was proportionate random sampling. Techniques of data collection are by questionnaire and interview. Testing of the validity instrument was conducted based on the Pearson's Product Moment Correlation. Reliability test instrument used Cronbach's Alpha. The results showed that students readiness of Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program JPTK FKIP UNS 2009 in implementating industry practice in terms of condition tonus of the body was 78,65 (high), state of body function was 85,00 (very high), intelligence was 79,90 (high), motivation was 72,08 (high), interests was 80,83 (very high), attitudes was 73,17 (high), and talents was 73,85 (high).     The purpose of this research was to determine the level surface roughness characterization of steel ST 40 results ZK 7040 CNC Milling machining effect feed rate and the early timing of cooling. This research was conducted at SMK WARGA Surakarta Laboratory. Machining process using ZK 7040 CNC Milling machines with control SIEMENS SINUMERIK 802S. Data obtained by measuring the level of roughness of the workpiece using a SURFCODER SE-1700 at Bahan Teknik D3, Univesitas Gadjah Mada Laboratory. This research method using descriptive analysis with independent variable were feed rates and the early timing of cooling, dependent variable was levels of surface roughness of steel ST 40. The results on the feedrate 0.11 mm / rev, 0.13 mm / rev and 0.15 mm / rev indicates that the higher the feedrate is used to produce the level of the rough workpiece roughness. In the early timing of the air 10 minutes, 15 minutes and, 20 minutes showed that the longer the first timing of cooling used in the CNC machining process Milling ZK 7040 on steel ST 40, would result in the level of the rough workpiece roughness. This research resulted in varying levels of surface roughness between N6 to N8. The level of roughness of the workpiece machining CNC Milling results ZK 7040 on steel ST 40 that the smallest on the conditions before the beginning of the cooling at feed rate 0.11 mm / rev and the early cooling time 10 minutes is equal to 1.616 μm, while the greatest rudeness occurs the feed rate of 0.15 mm / rev and the early timing of the air 20 minutes is equal to 3.603 μm. The level of roughness of the workpiece machining CNC Milling results ZK 7040 on steel ST 40 that the smallest on the conditions after the timing of cooling on CNC milling machining process ZK 7040 occurred at a feed rate of 0.11 mm / rev and the early timing of cooling after 10 minutes is equal to 1.855 μm while the roughness of the greatest place on the feed rate of 0.15 mm / rev and the early timing of cooling after 20 minutes is equal to 5.782 μm.     PENGARUH VARIASI PUTARAN MESIN DAN PEMANASAN BAHAN BAKAR BENSIN MELALUI PIPA KAPILER BERSIRIP RADIAL DI DALAM UPPER TANK RADIATOR TERHADAP KONSUMSI BAHAN BAKAR BENSIN PADA MESIN TOYOTA KIJANG

    The result of this research shows that the effect the usage of heating gasoline fuel through a capillary tube which is radial finned in the upper tank radiator at engine speed 1000 r.p.m., 2000 r.p.m., and 3000 r.p.m.. Average consumption at engine speed 1000 r.p.m. normal Toyota Kijang average consumption 32,066×10-3 cc per cycle. With the use of heating fuel use 3 copper pipe with fins spaced 10 mm fuel consumption by 25,174×10-3 cc per cycle. Fuel consumption decreased by 6,892×10-3 cc per cycle or 21,58%. At engine speed 2000 r.p.m. normal Toyota Kijang average consumption 38,487×10-3 cc per cycle. With the use of heating fuel use 3 copper pipe with fins spaced 10 mm fuel consumption by 28,121×10-3 cc per cycle. Fuel consumption decreased by 10,366×10-3 cc per cycle or 26,93%. At engine speed 3000 r.p.m. normal Toyota Kijang average consumption 36,783×10-3 cc per cycle. With the use of heating fuel use 3 copper pipe with fins spaced 10 mm fuel consumption by 31,187×10-3 cc per cycle. Fuel consumption decreased by 5,596×10- 3 per cycle or 15,21%. The conclusion of this research is the usage of fuel heating using three copper tubes with the range between the fins is 10 mm in the upper tank of radiator can reduce the biggest lowers fuel consumption on the Engine of Toyota Kijang 1989. The purpose of this research is to know: (1) Effect of spindle speed variation, feedrate, depth of cut and direction of the wood grain pieces (longitudinal, radial and tangential) to the level of surface roughness result type CNC milling machining process ZK 7040 at teak wood material. (2) Knowing which parameters that produce optimal roughness values on CNC milling machining process on the material type ZK 7040 at teak wood material, using the Taguchi method. Teak wood machining process using CNC milling machine type 7040 with the ZK control SIEMENS SINUMERIK 802S in SMK SAKTI Gemolong. The testing of moisture content done in Laboratory of Materials, Civil Engineering, Sebelas Maret University. Surface roughness test was done in metrology laboratory, Mechanical Engineering Diploma Program, Vocational School, Gadjah Mada University. Optimization methods used in this study the Taguchi method. TAGUCHI ANOVA (Analysis of Taguchi Varian) in Minitab 15 software help to determine the performance characteristics of the machining parameters. The results of CNC milling machining process on the material type ZK 7040 teak was: (1) higher spindle speed, will produce a surface roughness values less ie at level 3 = 3000 rpm; highe feedrate, will produce a surface roughness values greater ie at level 3 = 1200 mm/min; higher depth of cut,will produce value greater surface roughness is at level 3 = 6 mm, and more dry wood on the variation of direction wood grain pieces, would result in the value of the smaller surface roughness is at level 1 = direction tangential cutting. (2) Parameters that yield optimal surface roughness values are at 3000 rpm spindle rotation speed, feedrate 400 mm/min, depth of cut 2 mm and tangential cutting direction. The feedrate has the most effect with delta ratio S/N 3,78 and the direction of cutting wood has the smallest contribution is a delta ratio S/N 1,92. (3) The optimal roughness is 4,12 ± 0,42 μm.     This paper presents an effect of variation waterglass on moisture degree and clay degree in sand casting. The held as the word in sand casting used is waterglass with a variation of 0%, 15%, 25%, and 40%. Sand casting mixture on the sand river weighing 500 grams, the addition of 10 ml of water, and the addition of waterglass based on the variations that have been determined. Research carried out is descriptive research with experimental methods. The result show that the moisture degree and increasing clay degree. The higher addition of waterglass on molding sands increasing moisture degree. The resulting moisture degree is 1.50%, 5.18%, 6.48%, 7.14%.     Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara motivasi belajar dengan minat menjadi guru mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin JPTK FKIP UNS Surakarta Tahun Akademik 2011/2012, (2) Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara prestasi belajar dengan minat menjadi guru mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin JPTK FKIP UNS Surakarta Tahun Akademik 2011/2012, (3) Untuk mengetahui hubungan secara bersama- sama antara motivasi belajar dan prestasi belajar dengan minat menjadi guru mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin JPTK FKIP UNS Surakarta Tahun Akademik 2011/2012. Penelitian ini berbentuk kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif korelasional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin JPTK FKIP UNS Surakarta angkatan tahun 2009 sejumlah 56 mahasiswa. Sampel penelitian diambil 48 mahasiswa yang diambil menggunakan proportionate random sampling. Untuk memperoleh data prestasi belajar menggunakan metode dokumentasi, untuk memperoleh data motivasi belajar dan minat menjadi guru menggunakan metode angket. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis korelasi dan regresi linear ganda. Hasil analisis data yaitu: (1) Ada hubungan yang signifikan antara motivasi belajar dengan minat menjadi guru mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin JPTK FKIP UNS Surakarta Tahun Akademik 2011/2012. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil perhitungan pada n = 48 dan taraf signifikansi 5% diperoleh r x1y > r tabel atau 0,5182 > 0,284. (2) Ada hubungan yang signifikan antara prestasi belajar dengan minat menjadi guru mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin JPTK FKIP UNS Surakarta Tahun Akademik 2011/2012. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil perhitungan pada n = 48 dan taraf signifikansi 5% diperoleh r x1y > r tabel atau 0,5398 > 0,284. (3) Ada hubungan yang signifikan secara bersama- sama antara motivasi belajar dan prestasi belajar dengan minat menjadi guru mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin JPTK FKIP UNS Surakarta Tahun Akademik 2011/2012.     There are many factors influencing the quality of products that are produced from wood machinery. Those influencing factors are the feedrate and moisture content.The results of this research was: (1) Reduction of feedrate of 3 axis CNC milling process with teak wood material, would be resulted the smllest surface roughness. (2) Reduction of moisture content of 3 axis CNC milling process with teak wood material, would be resulted the smallest surface roughness. (3) The surface roughness of 3 axis CNC milling processes with feedrate variation 0.2, 0.4 and 0.6 mm / rev and the moisture content 0%, 17% and 67% would be produce a level surface roughness between N7 to N11. The smallest surface roughness occurs in interaction feedrate 0.2 mm / rev with a moisture content 0% at 5.54 μm, whereas the rate of degradation surface roughness occurs interaction feedrate 0.6 mm / rev with moisture content 67% at 16.10 μm .
