This article discusses the document Meeting Jesus, presented by the Italian Episcopal Commission. In seeking to give guide-lines for the proclamation and catechesis of the faith in Italy it becomes one of the most important documents in recent years that deal with the new evangelization that assists the whole Church in the announcing of the Gospel and the journey of faith. The document highlights certain homogeneity in reading the cultural, social, ecclesial and pastoral situation in which the pro-cesses of formation and education are realized. This helps the development of the “catechetical needs” and the specific paths of di-ocesan and national guidelines. It also reveals the possibility of a comparison at the inter-diocesan level between formators and a mutual support in the evaluation of projects and activity. To realize the training of formators and of members of the diocesan teams “in the wise work of coordinating and leading” it is important to work on the same lines proposed by the Guidelines. This article discusses the document Meeting Jesus, presented by the Italian Episcopal Commission. Interreligiosity in catholic schools in Italy
Starting from the actual situation of a world today, the article analyzes a new religious culture characterized by multi-religiosity and inter-religiosity. The approach to this new phenomenon is however interreligious, in which metaphorically, every religion assumes the "colours of all cultures". In this reality, the transition from the religion of Italians to Italy of religions in Catholic schools creates educational challenges in the face of interreligious dialogue. Therefore, the identity and mission of these schools, involved in socio-educational changes, caused by religious pluralism, must be re-examined. The school has the task of educating to overcome all barriers among persons, encouraging pupils towards an experience of a universal solidarity, starting from the neighbours that integrates the interreligious phenomenon
Nauczyciel-wychowawca w instytucjach salezjańskich O projekcie badań pedeutologicznych
The Article “The teacher – educator in Salesian institutions. A pedeutological research Project” draws attention to the state of research, directions of research and research projects in Salesian education. It attempts to present the teacher in Salesian institutions by presenting literature based reflections, sources and indications of the evolution of teacher-roles in Salesian schools. Although the state of pedagogical research in the Salesian institutions is not sufficiently elaborate; one notes, however, that the last twenty years have witnessed growing interest in the teacher’s work and evolution of Salesian schools. For example, in the early Salesian schools, teachers were only Salesians priests and/or thier coadjutors. Today, more than 98% of the teachers are lay persons. They play an important role in the local environment by influencing children and adolescents, through an educational method called the preventive system. This system harmonizes reason, religion, and loving kindness in the educational process. The ideas presented in this article encourage a deepening of pedeutical research, Artykuł „Nauczyciel – wychowawca w instytucjach salezjańskich.
The article presents the various activities of ‘the Salesians’ as teachers and educators during the Second World War, indicating also the social and political structures of the country. After the outbreak of the war, the educational efforts of the Salesians were stopped, but not eliminated from everyday life. However, on the basis of archival documents, the destiny of some religious was rediscovered, guided by the courageous and heroic acts of ‘teaching in secret’, creation of boarding schools, orphanages and pastoral care and demonstrating with their lives, a phenomenal dedication to youths’ education, risking of imprisonment, permanent enclosure in a concentration camp, and in many cases, death by martyrdom. The article presents the various activities of ‘the Salesians’ as teachers and educators during the Second World War, indicating also the social and political structures of the country.
Nauczanie religii katolickiej w kontekście europejskim: profile i kompetencje
Współczesna szkoła w Europie proponuje cele edukacyjne zmierzające do integralnego rozwoju osoby. Instytucja ta realizuje proces edukacji dzięki rozwijaniu kompetencji, zdolności i wiedzy
Kompetencje nauczyciela religii w Europie muszą więc wykraczać poza granice państw, kultur, religii, aby w procesie wychowawczym kształtować młodzież umiejącą odpowiedzieć na nowe wyzwania przemian społeczno-politycznych, geograficznych i religijnych. Wyzwania te wprowadzają do nauczania religii potrzebę pogłębiania kompetencji pedagogicznych, psychologicznych, teologicznych i dydaktycznych. Nauczanie religii powinno być pomocne w integrowaniu Wspólnoty Europejskiej.Modern schools in Europe propose educational goals that aim at an integral development of an individual. School as an institution carries out educational processes by developing competence, skills and knowledge in various areas of life, including religion. To incite a sense of “religion” in new generations, it is expedient that every teacher of religion should not only have knowledge of various pedagogical currents and scientific theories but, above all, s/he should know how to respond to the specific challenges of the modern society. The competence of religion teachers in Europe must, therefore, go beyond the borders of countries, cultures and religions, so that, the educational process could enable young people to respond to the new socio-political, geographic and religious challenges. Those challenges imply the necessity of deepening pedagogical, psychological, theological and educational skills of religion teachers. Teaching of religion can help in the integration of the European Community
