    Early childhood fundamental motor skills: visual impairments and non-visually impaired

    The purpose of this study was to test fundamental motor skills (FMS) in young children with visual impairments (VI) and non-VI children. This study used a cross-sectional design, descriptive-analytic with purposive sampling. Children without VI showed higher locomotor skills (M= 21.38, SD= 6.69) when compared to children with VI (M= 9.70, SD= 3.09). Children without VI showed higher ball skills (M = 18.74, SD = 6.54) when compared to children with VI (M = 5.23, SD = 5.44)). For locomotor skills there was a significant effect on vision (F=17.55, p=.014, η2=.31). For children with VI, birth control (n=7) performed higher (M=10.33, SD=10.54) compared to non-birth VI (n=3; M 4.02, SD=2, 73). For ball skills there was a significant effect on vision (F=21.99, p<0.001, η2=.56). For children with VI, congenital VI (n=7) performed higher (M=6.73, SD=6.69) than non-congenital blind (n=3; M=2.05, SD=1.01). Non-blind children show higher levels of FMS when compared to children with VI. The children with VI in this sample exhibited profound developmental delays requiring further investigation and future intervention

    Inklusi dalam pendidikan jasmani: perspektif siswa penyandang disabilitas

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tetang pendidikan inklusi dalam pendidikan jasmani dari sudut pandang penyandang disabilitas serta faktor-faktor yang menghambat dan memfasilitasi pendidikan inklusi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Sampel penelitian adalah anak penyandang disabilitas yang bersekolah di lima kota/kabupaten dari tujuh sekolah di provinsi Banten. Sampel berjumlah 20 orang (13 laki-laki, 7 perempuan). Instrumen yang digunakan penulis merancang berdasarkan literatur sebelumnya. Data wawancara dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis konten. Dalam kegiatan pendidikan jasmani mayoritas hasil wawancara siswa penyandang disabilitas kurang berpartisipasi dan memiliki pandangan negatif dalam pendidikan inklusi. Teori yang digunakan didalam penelitian ini model disabilitas relasional sosial. Temuan mengungkapkan bahwa yang menghambat dan memfasilitasi dalam pendidikan inklusi: faktor pribadi, konteks fisik, dan konteks sosial.     KETERLIBATAN ORANG TUA ANAK PENYANDANG DISABILITAS DALAM PENDIDIKAN JASMANI DAN OLAHRAGA

    The objective of this study was to find out the experience and parents participation in Physical Education from the view of the parents of students with disabilities. This study applied a hermeneutic phenomenological qualitative method. The sample of this study was parents of students with disabilities in Special Needs School. 5 people (3 men, 2 women) were selected as sample using the purposeful sampling technique. The instrument was used from previous study and Seidman interviewing guidelines (1998). The findings have shown that parents actively involved in students learning in the various environment: at home, school and community and involved through continuous communication and active participation both at school and outside of school. Parents-teachers collaboration strongly supports the Physical Education and promotes the students learning development. Despite of inactive parents, all parents appreciated the benefits of inclusion and physical activities. These findings provide the additional support to the need of developing home-school collaboration in Physical Education

    PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN MELALUI PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIC TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN BERMAIN SEPAK BOLA

    Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk menganalisa pengaruh model problem based learning terhadap keterampilan bermain sepak bola yang diharapkan memberikan manfaat positif terhadap pencapaian tujuan kurikulum 2013. Metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengungkapkan permasalahan tersebut, menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent groups pretest posttest. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMPN 2 Rangkasbitung, Lebak, Banten. Dengan mengambil sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu 60 siswa yang terdiri dari 30 siswa pada kelompok eksperimen dan 30 siswa pada kelompok control. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 7 minggu dengan 2 kali pertemuan setiap minggunya. Instrument yang digunakan GPAI untuk mengukur keterampilan bermain sepak bola. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t, melalui spss 18. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu 1) Terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan keterampilan bermain sepak bola dari skor pre-test ke post-test dengan menggunakan model problem based learning. 2) Terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan keterampilan bermain sepak bola dari skor pre-test ke post-test dengan menggunakan model direct intruction. 3) Model problem based learning lebih baik dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran direct terhadap keterampilan bermain sepak bola. The research is purposed to analyze the influence of problem basednlearning model towards the skill of soccer, which is expected to give positive contribution to the achievement of the goals of Curriculum 2013. The research method employed in the research is experimental nonequivalent groups pretest-posttest. The participant of the test was 60 students consisted of 30 experimental group students and 30 control group students. The research was done for 7 weeks; twice a week for each session. The instrument used to measure the skill ofplaying football was the GPAI. The analysis technique employed was the T-Test, by using SPSS 18. The result of the research are as follows: (1) There is a sinificant improvement between pretest and postest score of the playing soccer skill using the problem based model; (2) there is a significant improvement of the playing soccer skill between pretest and posttest using the direct instructional method; and (3) there is a different score of playing soccer between the students who learn by using the problem based model and those who learn by using the direct instructional method

    Sport resilience in students with visual impairment

    Salah satu faktor siswa tunanetra dapat disebabkan sejak lahir. Siswa tunenetra kurang mendapatkan kesempatan terlibat dalam berbagai aspek dalam kehidupan, khususnya dalam kegiatan olahraga. Walaupun siswa tunantera tetap mengikuti kegiatan olahraga, bagaimana resiliensi mereka agar tetap mengikuti kegiatan olahhraga. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui resiliensi siswa tunanetra dari lahir dalam berolahraga di Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB). Metode penelitian yang digunakan melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus. Partisipan terdiri dari kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, guru pendidikan jasmani, guru kelas, dan 2 siswa tunanetra dari lahir di SLB Negeri A Citereup Kota Cimahi, sehingga partisipan yang terlibat sebanyak 5 orang partisipan. Instrummen penelitian menggunakan wawancara dan observasi. Analisi data di bantu dengan menggunakan aplikasi NVivo 12 Plus. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa resiliensi siswa tunanetra dalam kegiatan olahraga hanya sebatas mengikuti instruksi dan tidak memenuhi rekomendasi aktivitas fisik. Untuk menjaga agar siswa tunanetra mau berolahraga dengan memberikan nasihat, motivasi, bimbingan konseling secara individu, dan melakukan kegiatan olahraga di waktu luang.One of the factors causing visual impairments (disabilities) is physical deficiencies from birth. Students with visual disabilities do not have the same opportunity to be involved in many life activities including in sports activities. Students with visual disabilities can still participate in sports and their resilience to keep participating is important to be studied. The purpose of this study is to determine the Sport resilience of students with visual impairment in special schools (SLB). The research method used is qualitative approach with case studies. Participants consist of the principal, deputy principal, physical education teacher, classroom teacher, and 2 students with visual impairment in SLB Negeri A Citereup Cimahi. The total participants are 5 people. The research instruments are interviews and observations. Data analysis is assisted by NVivo 12 Plus application. The result of the study shows that sport resilience in students with visual impairment is inadequate because they only follow the instructions and do not obey physical activity recommendations. To improve their willingness participating in physical exercise, several methods can be applied are delivering positive advice and enthusiasm, providing individual counseling, and encouraging them to do exercise in their spare time
