Steganography for Neural Radiance Fields by Backdooring
The utilization of implicit representation for visual data (such as images,
videos, and 3D models) has recently gained significant attention in computer
vision research. In this letter, we propose a novel model steganography scheme
with implicit neural representation. The message sender leverages Neural
Radiance Fields (NeRF) and its viewpoint synthesis capabilities by introducing
a viewpoint as a key. The NeRF model generates a secret viewpoint image, which
serves as a backdoor. Subsequently, we train a message extractor using
overfitting to establish a one-to-one mapping between the secret message and
the secret viewpoint image. The sender delivers the trained NeRF model and the
message extractor to the receiver over the open channel, and the receiver
utilizes the key shared by both parties to obtain the rendered image in the
secret view from the NeRF model, and then obtains the secret message through
the message extractor. The inherent complexity of the viewpoint information
prevents attackers from stealing the secret message accurately. Experimental
results demonstrate that the message extractor trained in this letter achieves
high-capacity steganography with fast performance, achieving a 100\% accuracy
in message extraction. Furthermore, the extensive viewpoint key space of NeRF
ensures the security of the steganography scheme.Comment: 6 pages, 7 figure
UnLoc: A Unified Framework for Video Localization Tasks
While large-scale image-text pretrained models such as CLIP have been used
for multiple video-level tasks on trimmed videos, their use for temporal
localization in untrimmed videos is still a relatively unexplored task. We
design a new approach for this called UnLoc, which uses pretrained image and
text towers, and feeds tokens to a video-text fusion model. The output of the
fusion module are then used to construct a feature pyramid in which each level
connects to a head to predict a per-frame relevancy score and start/end time
displacements. Unlike previous works, our architecture enables Moment
Retrieval, Temporal Localization, and Action Segmentation with a single stage
model, without the need for action proposals, motion based pretrained features
or representation masking. Unlike specialized models, we achieve state of the
art results on all three different localization tasks with a unified approach.

A Unique ATPase, ArtR (PA4595), Represses the Type III Secretion System in Pseudomonas aeruginosa
Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an important human pathogen which uses the type III secretion system (T3SS) as a primary virulence factor to establish infections in humans. The results presented in this report revealed that the ATP-binding protein PA4595 (named ArtR, a Regulator that is an ATP-activated Repressor of T3SS) represses T3SS expression in P. aeruginosa. The expression of T3SS genes, including exoS, exoY, exoT, exsCEBA, and exsD-pscB-L, increased significantly when artR was knockout. The effect of ArtR on ExsA is at the transcriptional level, not at the translational level. The regulatory role and cytoplasm localization of ArtR suggest it belongs to the REG sub-family of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) family. Purified GST-tagged ArtR showed ATPase activity in vitro. The conserved aspartate residues in the dual Walker B motifs prove to be essential for the regulatory function of ArtR. The regulation of T3SS by ArtR is unique, which does not involve the known GacS/A-RsmY/Z-RsmA-ExsA pathway or Vfr. This is the first REG subfamily of ATP-binding cassette that is reported to regulate T3SS genes in bacteria. The results specify a novel player in the regulatory networks of T3SS in P. aeruginosa
Expression and clinical significance of CA125, CA153 and CEA in nipple discharge of breast cancer patients
Background: It is an important clinical means to identify benign and malignant breast diseases caused by nipple discharge through the detection and analysis of components in nipple discharge. This study was aimed to test the expression and clinical significance of carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125), carbohydrate antigen 153 (CA153) and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) in nipple discharge of breast cancer patients. Methods: From January 2017 to December 2018, 86 patients with invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast with nipple discharge (breast cancer group) and 50 patients with ordinary breast duct hyperplasia with nipple discharge (benign control group) were selected, and the levels of CA125, CA153 and CEA in nipple discharge and serum were detected by electrochemiluminescence immunoassay. Results: The levels of CA125, CA153 and CEA in nipple discharge and serum in benign control group were significantly lower than those in the breast cancer group, and the levels of CA125, CA153 and CEA in serum were obviously lower than those in nipple discharge. The expression levels of CA125, CA153 and CEA in nipple discharge in the breast cancer group had no significant difference in different age of onset and different tumor sites. The CA125, CA153 and CEA levels in nipple discharge of patients with tumor diameter 5 cm, low differentiation, high stage, metastasis, and recurrence were obviously elevated versus to those of patients with tumor diameter <5 cm, high differentiation, low stage, and no metastasis and recurrence. These levels were not significantly correlated with the expression of estrogen receptor (ER) and progesterone receptor (PR), but was significantly correlated with the expression of human epidermal growth factor receptor (HER-2) and Ki-67. The accuracy, sensitivity, and negative predictive value of the combined detection of CA125, CA153 and CEA in nipple discharge in the diagnosis of breast cancer were markedly improved compared with the combined detection of serum and single detection. Conclusion: The combination of CA125, CA153 and CEA in nipple discharge can be considered as a potential diagnostic method for breast cancer, which is an effective supplement to serological diagnosis, and can provide new ideas for the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant breast cancer with nipple discharge
Occurrence of multi-mycotoxin in paddy rice in Guangdong Province
Objective To understand the contamination pattern of mycotoxin in paddy rice in the main rice-growing regions of Guangdong Province, and analyze the distribution difference of mycotoxin in different areas, so as to provide basis for the implementation of precise prevention and control measures. Methods A total of 120 paddy rice samples were collected from eight cities in the Pearl River Delta, northern, eastern and western Guangdong during 2018 and 2019, and were analyzed for 16 mycotoxins by multiple reaction monitoring mode of ultra performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometer. Results Among the 120 paddy rice samples, 19.17% (23/120) were positive for mycotoxins, and the main polluants were aflatoxins and fumonisins. FB1 were detected in 9.17% (11/120) of the samples, followed by 8.33% (10/120) for AFB1. Two samples had the AFB1 concentrations above the tolerance limit of 10 μg/kg. The detection values were 73.90 and 18.80 μg/kg, respectively. Among 6 trichothecene mycotoxins, only deoxynivalenol (1.67%, 2/120) and its acetyl derivatives[0.83% (1/120) for 3-Ac-DON and 0.83% (1/120) for 15-Ac-DON] were found. ZEN was found in 3.33% (4/120) of the samples. Additionally, 1.67% (2/120) of the paddy rice samples were positive for sterigmatocystin. The ochratoxin A, nivalenol, T-2 and HT-2 mycotoxins were not found in the paddy rice samples. The co-occurrence of two or more mycotoxins was confirmed in 8.33% (10/120) of the paddy rice samples, mainly combination was AFB1 and other mycotoxins. The contamination patterns were different in the eight cities. The paddy rice samples from Zhanjiang was mainly contaminated by FB1, FB2, DON and 3-Ac-DON. Samples from Heyuan were mainly contaminated by AFB1, AFB2, sterigmatocystin, FB1 and FB2. The concentration levels of ZEN, DON and 3-Ac-DON were relatively higher in samples from Shaoguan. Conclusion The paddy rice samples from Guangdong Province were contaminated by multiple mycotoxins, and the pollution patterns were different in different areas. In terms of the co-occurence of mycotoxins, some measures should be conducted to assess the exposure risk, reduce the damage, and protect the consumers food safety
Causal relationships exist between polycystic ovary syndrome and adverse pregnancy and perinatal outcomes: a Mendelian randomization study
IntroductionPrevious observational studies have shown that polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) was associated with adverse pregnancy and perinatal outcomes. However, it remains controversial whether PCOS is an essential risk factor for these adverse pregnancy and perinatal outcomes. We aimed to use instrumental variables in a two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) study to determine causality between PCOS and adverse pregnancy and perinatal outcomes.Materials and methodsSummary statistics were extracted from a recent genome-wide association study (GWAS) meta-analysis conducted in PCOS, which included 10,074 cases and 103,164 controls of European ancestry. Data on Adverse pregnancy and perinatal outcomes were summarized from the FinnGen database of European ancestry, which included more than 180,000 samples. The inverse variance weighted (IVW) method of MR was applied for the main outcome. To assess heterogeneity and pleiotropy, we conducted sensitivity analyses, including leave-one-out analysis, weighted median, MR-PRESSO (Mendelian Randomization Pleiotropy RESidual Sum and Outlier), and MR-Egger regression.ResultsTwo-sample MR analysis with the IVW method suggested that PCOS exerted causal effects on the risk of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy [odds ratio (OR) 1.170, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.051–1.302, p = 0.004], in particular gestational hypertension (OR 1.083, 95% CI 1.007–1.164, p = 0.031), but not other pregnancy and perinatal diseases (all p > 0.05). Sensitivity analyses demonstrated pleiotropy only in pre-eclampsia or eclampsia (p = 0.0004), but not in other pregnancy and perinatal diseases (all p > 0.05). The results remained consistent after excluding two outliers (all p > 0.05).ConclusionsWe confirmed a causal relationship between PCOS and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, in particular gestational hypertension, but no association with any other adverse pregnancy or perinatal outcome. Therefore, we suggest that women with PCOS who are pregnant should have their blood pressure closely monitored
Characterizing the Penumbras of White Matter Hyperintensities and Their Associations With Cognitive Function in Patients With Subcortical Vascular Mild Cognitive Impairment
Normal-appearing white matter (NAWM) surrounding white matter hyperintensities (WMHs), frequently known as the WMH penumbra, is associated with subtle white matter injury and has a high risk for future conversion to WMHs. The goal of this study was to define WMH penumbras and to further explore whether the diffusion and perfusion parameters of these penumbras could better reflect cognitive function alterations than WMHs in subjects with subcortical vascular mild cognitive impairment (svMCI). Seventy-three svMCI subjects underwent neuropsychological assessments and 3T MRI scans, including diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) and arterial spin labeling (ASL). To determine the extent of cerebral blood flow (CBF) and DTI penumbras. A NAWM layer mask was generated for periventricular WMHs (PVWMHs) and deep WMHs (DWMHs) separately. Mean values of CBF, fractional anisotropy (FA), mean diffusivity (MD) within the WMHs and their corresponding NAWM layer masks were computed and compared using paired t-tests. Pearson's partial correlations were used to assess the relations of the mean CBF, FA, and MD values within the corresponding penumbras with composite z-scores of global cognition and four cognitive domains controlling for age, sex, and education. For both PVWMHs and DWMHs, the CBF penumbras were wider than the DTI penumbras. Only the mean FA value of the PVWMH-FA penumbra was correlated with the composite z-scores of global cognition before correction (r = 0.268, p = 0.024), but that correlation did not survive after correcting the p-value for multiple comparisons. Our findings showed extensive white matter perfusion disturbances including white matter tissue, both with and without microstructural alterations. The imaging parameters investigated, however, did not correlate to cognition
Resting-State Activity of Prefrontal-Striatal Circuits in Internet Gaming Disorder: Changes With Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Predictors of Treatment Response
Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) is effective for the treatment of Internet gaming disorder (IGD). However, the mechanisms by which CBT improves IGD-related clinical symptoms remain unknown. This study aimed to discover the therapeutic mechanism of CBT in IGD subjects using resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rsfMRI). Twenty-six IGD subjects and 30 matched healthy controls (HCs) received rsfMRI scan and clinical assessments; 20 IGD subjects completed CBT and then were scanned again. The amplitude of low-frequency (ALFF) values and the functional connectivity (FC) between the IGD group and the HC group were compared at baseline, as well as the ALFF values and FC before and after the CBT in the IGD group. Prior to treatment, the IGD group exhibited significantly increased ALFF values in the bilateral putamen, the right medial orbitofrontal cortex (OFC), the bilateral supplementary motor area (SMA), the left postcentral gyrus, and the left anterior cingulate (ACC) compared with the HC group. The HC group showed significantly increased FC values between the left medial OFC and the putamen compared with the IGD group, the FC values of IGD group were negatively associated with the BIS-11 scores before treatment. After the CBT, the weekly gaming time was significantly shorter, and the CIAS and BIS-II scores were significantly lower. The ALFF values in the IGD subjects significantly decreased in the left superior OFC and the left putamen, and the FC between them significantly increased after the CBT. The degree of the FC changes (ΔFC/Pre−FC) was positively correlated with the scale of the CIAS scores changes (ΔCIAS/Pre−CIAS) in the IGD subjects. CBT could regulate the abnormal low-frequency fluctuations in prefrontal-striatal regions in IGD subjects and could improve IGD-related symptoms. Resting-state alternations in prefrontal-striatal regions may reveal the therapeutic mechanism of CBT in IGD subjects
