The overall stability of hydraulic tainter steel gate decrease seriously, and they are caused by improper structure layout of the two-way eccentric compression of struts. Chinese and American specification method, structural mechanics method and finite element method are respectively used to study rational structural layout of strut arms in vertical frame. First of all, a unified method for rational layout of struts of tainter gate in vertical frame is deduced by using structural mechanics method that simplifies curve girder as straight girder on the basis of zero rotation in vertical girder. Second, rational layouts of struts were researched by utilizing spatial finite element method according to zero rotation in vertical girder. The 756 groups rational layout results of the above three methods with different water heads, different number of struts and different unit stiffness ratios were researched. The differences of struts stress and material dosages of various rational layout methods were evaluated. From the point of view of the forces of tainter gate struts in vertical frame, as the results shown, the layouts of struts by Chinese and American specification method, straight beam method and finite element method are large eccentric compression, small eccentric compression and axial compression respectively. The layout of struts with specification method in lower head is quite different from straight beam method and finite element method, and the layouts of deep water head with straight beam method and finite element method are tend to be consistent. Unit stiffness ratio between vertical girder and strut has little effect on layout of tainter gate struts, but has a great influence on material dosages of tainter gate. Compared with specification method, layout of tainter gate with two struts and three struts by using straight beam method and finite element method can improve stability of struts and save materials of overall tainter gate structure, and the material saving rates of tainter gate with two struts and three struts with finite element method are respectively [32.63, 47.58] (%) and [21.61, 30.01] (%). Rational layout concise charts of tainter gate with two struts and three struts by specification method, straight beam method and finite element method are given, which can be used directly for projects designs. Compared with specification method, the layout of struts of straight beam method and finite element method is not only security and economy, but also method and mechanics concept are simple, which can provide the theoretical basis for specification revision of Chinese and American.Peer Reviewe

Global attractor for a nonlinear plate equation with supported boundary conditions

AbstractIn this paper, we consider a two-dimensional nonlinear equation(∗)ρwtt+DΔ2w+εμwt−(N1+T2∫Ωwx2dxdy)wxx−(N2+T2∫Ωwy2dxdy)wyy=0 which arises from the model of the viscoelastic thin rectangular plate with four edges supported. By virtue of Galerkin method combined with the priori estimates, we prove the existence and uniqueness of the global solution under initial–boundary data for the above equation. Especially the existence of the bounded absorbing set in space E and the existence of the global attractor of system is also obtained

Kostant's generating functions and McKay-Slodowy correspondence

Let NGN\unlhd G be a pair of finite subgroups of SL2(C)\mathrm{SL}_2(\mathbb{C}) and VV a finite-dimensional fundamental irreducible SL2(C)\mathrm{SL}_2(\mathbb{C})-module. We study Kostant's generating functions for the decomposition of the SL2(C)\mathrm{SL}_2(\mathbb C)-module Sk(V)S^k(V) restricted to NGN\lhd G in connection with the McKay-Slodowy correspondence. In particular, the classical Kostant formula was generalized to a uniform version of the Poincar\'{e} series for the symmetric invariants in which the multiplicities of any individual module in the symmetric algebra are completely determined.Comment: 15 page

Let NN be a normal subgroup of a finite group GG and VV be a fixed finite-dimensional GG-module. The Poincar\'{e} series for the multiplicities of induced modules and restriction modules in the tensor algebra T(V)=k0VkT(V)=\oplus_{k \geq 0}V^{\otimes k} are studied in connection with the McKay-Slodowy correspondence. In particular, it is shown that the closed formulas for the Poincar\'e series associated with the distinguished pairs of subgroups of SU2\mathrm{SU}_2 give rise to the exponents of all untwisted and twisted affine Lie algebras except A2n(1){\rm A}_{2n}^{(1)}.Comment: 22 page

    Odd symplectic/orthogonal skew Schur functions

Using vertex operators we construct odd symplectic Schur functions spλ(x±;z)sp_\lambda(\mathbf{x}^{\pm};z) and odd orthogonal Schur functions oλ(x±;z)o_\lambda(\mathbf{x}^{\pm};z) with parameter zz as well as their skew versions. We show that these two families of symmetric functions generalize the odd symplectic/orthogonal Schur functions and provide formulas in terms of the even symplectic/orthogonal Schur functions. We also derive the Gelfand-Tsetlin presentations and the Jacobi-Trudi formulas for both the skew versions. Interpretations of spλ/μ(x±;z)sp_{\lambda/\mu}(\mathbf{x}^{\pm};\mathbf{z}) and oλ/μ(x±;z)o_{\lambda/\mu}(\mathbf{x}^{\pm};\mathbf{z}) with parameters z=(z1,,zk)\mathbf{z}=(z_1,\dots,z_k) as intermediate characters are also discussed.Comment: 14pp, no figure

China, with the rapid growth of its economy, has transformed from a world factory to a world market in which Japan has enjoyed a market share in automobiles, household electrical appliances, medical treatment, food, and so on. In order to more deeply understand the actual situation of the Chinese local market, I went to Shanghai, which is one of the most representative cities in China, to conduct a series of investigations. Therefore, in this paper, I would like to demonstrate my knowledge of the Chinese household electrical appliances market and the change in Chinese spending structure. From May 9 to May 15, I distributed a questionnaire via the Internet, focusing on the electric cooker market in Shanghai and nearby cities, and I discovered that with the rapid growth of the Chinese eco-concept, Panasonic has accelerated its research on green electric cookers in order to match the market and expand its share in the Chinese market even further

Despite its successful entry into China\u27s market, Panasonic is at a difficult point with little increase in its market share. Although Panasonic enjoys an incredible reputation, its consumers consist mainly of high earners. In this research paper focusing on Panasonic\u27s electric cooker production, I contend that in China, where rice is the staple of its citizens, there exists huge demand for muti-functioned electric cookers of high quality, and therefore Panasonic still enjoys the prospect of a further jump in its market share. Nevertheless, what impedes the development of Panasonic in China\u27smarket is the fact that its consumers are chiefly citizens of the upper class. Based upon these facts, I make reference to the number of consumers belonging to the middle class between 2010 and 2030 in China, which means that in the coming 20 years, there will be approximately 440 million citizens who will join the middle class. Therefore, according to my perspective, if Panasonic is to enjoy a bigger share of the market, then it is crucial for it to make adjustments to its market strategy, that is to say, the manufacturing, selling, and promotion of its products should not be focused on the upper class. Rather, Panasonic should make more strides to be oriented towards a wider consumer base, namely, the middle class
