Model Pertumbuhan Pohon-pohon di Hutan Alam Paska Tebangan Studi Kasus pada Hutan Alam Produksi di Kabupaten Kapuas, Kalimantan Tengah

Pengelolaan hutan alam produksi sangat memerlukaninformasi tentang pertumbuhan pohon dalamhutan sebab prinsip pengelolaan hutan lestarimengharuskan jumlah penebangan hutan harussama atau lebih kecil dari pertumbuhannya. Tujuanpenelitian ini untuk mengetahui pertumbuhanpohon-pohon pada hutan paska penebanganmenggunakan sistem silvikultur Tebang Pilih TanamIndonesia (TPTI). Penelitian dilakukan pada PetakUkur Permanen (PUP) yang berlokasi di KabupatenKapuas Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah sejak tahun1998 sampai 2013. PUP terdiri dari 6 sub PUP danmasing-masing sub PUP berisi 100 plot penelitian.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhandiameter (setinggi dada) pohon-pohon padakelompok meranti, kelompok dipterocarp selainmeranti, kelompok komersial ditebang dan kelompokkomersial tidak ditebang adalah pelan pada fase awalpertumbuhan, kemudian tumbuh cepat pada faseberikutnya dan pertumbuhan paling cepat terjadiketika pohon-pohon telah mencapai diameter 30cm sampai 40 cm. Setelah itu pertumbuhan lambatkembali setelah mencapai diameter batang 50 cm.Model pertumbuhan kelompok meranti adalahY= -0.0005X2+0.0353X+ 0.0779 dengan R2=0.6611.Model pertumbuhan kelompok dipterocarp nonmeranti adalah Y= -0.0006X2+0.0428X+0.0111 denganR2=0.9051. Model pertumbuhan kelompok komersiallain ditebang adalah Y= -0.0003X2+0.0215X+0.0308dengan R2=0.9287. Sedangkan model pertumbuhankelompok komersial lain tidak ditebang adalah Y=0.0003X2+0.0225X+0.0158 dengan R2=0.9001

Pemanfaatan Vegetasi Mangrove Sebagai Obat-obatan Tradisional Pada Lima Suku Di Papua

Mangrove plays important role to coastal communities across Papua. Mangrove provides food, material construction, firewood, medicine, shelter and others. This research is designed to determine the traditional practices of utilizing mangrove vegetation used for medicinal material remedieson for five ethnicgroups in Papua. Field observation, and intensive literature reviews were used to collect the data and information required. The results showed that seven spesies of mangrove belonging to five families were used for medicinal puposes by five ethnic groups in Papua. Utilizations of mangrove as traditional medicines could be used for treatments for twelve diseases or health syndromes, ranging from mosquito repellency, scabies medicine, cleanse for pregnancey, children’s speaking ability, insecticides, malaria medicine, tooth medicine, diarrhoea, energy booster and stimulant for birth delivery. Hubungan Kepemimpinan dan Kecerdasan Emosional Kepala Sekolah dengan Mutu Layanan Pendidikan Sekolah Menengah Pertama

This study aims to examine the relationship between leadership and emotional intelligence of principals with quality education services in the area of the border district of State Junior High School Entikong. This research uses a quantitative approach to techniques correlation. Data obtained from 42 people a sample of teachers in Junior High School the country data collection is done with the question form and analyzed using the multiple regression techniques. Results of the analysis of the correlation of single and multiple regression showed that; (1) there is a positive and significant correlation leadership principals with quality education services, (2) there is a positive and significant correlation between emotional intelligence principal with a quality service. Multiple correlation analysis results showed that leadership and emotional intelligence of the principal jointly correlated positively and significantly with the quality of service

The Last 41.000 Years Fluctuation in Atmosperic CO2 Concentration Inferred From the Changes in Oxygen and Carbon Stable Isotopes Ratios of the Marine Sediment

The past atmospheric CO2 concentrations were reconstructed based on the results of measurements of stable oxygen and carbon isotopic ratios of fossil foraminifer and total organic carbon contained in marine sediment taken from the Okinawa Trough, East China Sea. In this study, we utilized two models of Popp et al and Rau et al. for the reconstruction. The results show that the whole trends of the changes in CO2 concentrations are very similar, even when it is compared to the atmospheric CO2 concentration of air trapped in ice core from southern pole. Changes in atmospheric CO2 concentrations are interpreted as a consequence of fluctuation in ocean surface water utilization of CO2 by marine organism and those are closely related to glacial-interglacial (cold-warm) fluctuations between maximum and minimum values through most Quaternary. Rekonstruksi terhadap Perubahan konsentrasi CO2 yang terkandung dalam udara telah dilakukan berdasarkan hasil pengukuran rasio isotop stabil oksigen dan karbon dalam fosil foraminifera dan total karbon organik yang terkandung dalam sedimen dasar laut dari Okinawa Trough, Laut Cina Timur. Dalam studi ini, dipakai model dari Popp et al. dan Rau et al. untuk rekonstruksi. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa kedua tren dari Perubahan kandungan CO2 udara sangat mirip, bahkan bila dibandingkan dengan kandungan CO2 udara yang terperangkap dalam inti es di Kutup Selatan sekalipun. Perubahan kandungan CO2 udara diinterpretrasikan sebagai akibat fluktuasi konsumsi CO2 di permukaan air laut oleh mikro-organisme yang juga sangat erat hubungannya dengan fluktuasi glasial-interglasial (dingin-panas) antara suhu udara bumi maksimum dan minimum sepanjang masa Kuarter

Visionary Leadership of Principals in Increasing School Quality at SMKN 1 Sambas

This study is aimed at objectively looking at the visionary leadership of principals in improving the quality of schools in Sambas 1 State Vocational School (SMKN 1 Sambas). This study uses a qualitative approach. The results showed that SMKN 1 Sambas was a school that was guided by a vision to improve school quality. Improving the quality of schools at SMKN 1 Sambas is achieved through a good school management process by the principal. Based on the findings, researchers suggest: 1) In implementing the school activity program there needs to be control and evaluation of each program implemented. 2) It is recommended to periodically rotate teachers and employees who are given additional assignments. 3) Increase the discipline and commitment of teachers and employees in carrying out the duties and responsibilities assigned to them. 4) Schools need to hold special meetings with parents who discuss the Vision, Mission, and Objectives of the school and convey the importance of the support and role of parents in the education process of their children in school

MANAJEMEN PENGEMBANGAN KOMPETENSI PROFESIONAL GURU OLEH KEPALA SEKOLAH DI SMA NEGERI 4 SINGKAWANG

AbstractThis study aims to examine the Headmaster management of teacher professional competence development at SMA Negeri 4 Singkawang. Data collection techniques by interview, documentation, and observation. The results of the research: (1) the preparation and dissemination of the vision and mission, planning through regular internal and external assessments, internal meetings and preparation of RKT, (2) forming a team into the school organizational structure, organizing mechanisms with the curriculum development team, optimizing documents supporting elements of leadership, (3 )utilization of program documents or manuals, activities are carried out gradually and periodically, the formation of teams and activity committees, involvement of supervisors, school principals, staff members, and teacher council representatives, implementation of teacher professional competency development is scheduled at the beginning / end of the year and at the beginning of the semester and IT utilization, (4) supervision carried out periodically and directly, with an individual or group mechanism, (5) evaluation is carried out both orally and in writing, regular meetings, with mechanisms in the form of monitoring, discussions between teachers and administrative staff, and supervision, ( 6) strengths: the principal as the main person in charge is actively involved, involving all school members, forming a team / committee by considering the abilities and (7) activities are carried out in accordance with existing programs, most of the teachers have S1 (60%) and S2 (40%), and IT-based education and character.Keywords: Management, Professional Competence Developmen

Pengaruh Supervisi Akademik dan Kepemimpinan Situasional Kepala Sekolah terhadap Kinerja Guru SMP Negeri Sambas

: This research to reveal the influence of the academic supervision and situational leadership principals on teacher performance SMP in Subrayon 4 Sambas. This study uses a quantitative approach. The data used is quantitative data. The population in this research were 106 teachers. While the sample amounted to 84 teachers. Data were collected using a questionnaire with measurement models using Likert scale. The collected data is tabulated. Then analyzed with the help of a computer application program, SPSS version 16 for Window. The results showed that 1) the influence of the academic supervision of the school head (X1) on teacher performance (Y) Beta (b1) of 0.407 = 40.70%, 2) the effect of situational leadership principals (X2) the performance of teachers (Y) Beta (b1) of 0.324 = 32.40%, 3) effect of academic supervision (X1) and situational leadership principals (X2) on teacher performance of 0.395 or 39, 50%. The test results are shown in the output F ANOVA results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that F count> F table (26.431 > 3.105)
