    Evaluating The Impact Of Electricity And Electron Movement On The Electric Grid From Distributed Generation

    The United States’ electric grid is currently undergoing a monumental energy transition involving the incorporation of new fuel sources, generation types, and operational modifications. Since 1920, the U.S. energy collective has been overseen by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), where during this tenure they have pursued the direct regulation of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs). This reasoning has been utilized over 300 times in federal cases and proceedings as the adoption rate of DERs has increased, which is based upon the language allowing the federal regulation of electricity based upon the flow of electrons. This is based solely upon the understanding that electrons flow in one direction in an alternating current environment. This problem presents an opportunity to determine electron behavior comparatively in direct and alternating current environments, and thus settling this energy policy debate. The Quantum Movement Theory was established in 2023 to provide definition to quantify electron movement in specific environments. This theory established two equations that define the amount of electrons moved and the magnitude of their distance. The application of the Quantum Movement Theory demonstrates that electrons do not flow but oscillate in an alternating current environment. This outcome accomplishes more than a regulatory disagreement, but rather contributes towards decarbonization, technological innovations, and increased energy security

    Developing a protocol to address co-occurring mental health conditions in the treatment of eating disorders

    OBJECTIVE: While co-occurring mental health conditions are the norm in eating disorders, no testable protocol addresses management of these in psychotherapy. METHOD: The literature on managing mental health conditions that co-occur with eating disorders is outlined and reviewed. RESULTS: In the absence of clear evidence to inform managing co-occurring mental health conditions, we advocate for use of an iterative, session-by-session measurement to guide practice and research. We identify three data-driven treatment approaches (focus solely on the eating disorder; multiple sequential interventions either before or after the eating disorder is addressed; integrated interventions), and the indications for their use. Where a co-occurring mental health condition/s impede effective treatment of the eating disorder, and an integrated intervention is required, we outline a four-step protocol for three broad intervention approaches (alternate, modular, transdiagnostic). A research program is suggested to test the usefulness of the protocol. DISCUSSION: Guidelines that provide a starting point to improving outcomes for people with eating disorders that can be evaluated/researched are offered in the current paper. These guidelines require further elaboration with reference to: (1) whether any difference in approach is required where the co-occurring mental health condition is a comorbid symptom or condition; (2) the place of biological treatments within these guidelines; (3) precise guidelines for selecting among the three broad intervention approaches when adapting care for co-occurring conditions; (4) optimal approaches to involving consumer input into identifying the most relevant co-occurring conditions; (5) detailed specification on how to determine which adjuncts to add. PUBLIC SIGNIFICANCE: Most people with an eating disorder also have another diagnosis or an underlying trait (e.g., perfectionism). Currently no clear guidelines exist to guide treatment in this situation, which often results in a drift away from evidence-based techniques. This paper outlines data-driven strategies for treating eating disorders and the accompanying comorbid conditions and a research program that can test the usefulness of the different approaches suggested

    Extent of the Ross Orogen in Antarctica: new data from DSDP 270 and Iselin Bank

    The Ross Sea is bordered by the Late Precambrian–Cambrian Ross–Delamerian Orogen of East Antarctica and the more Pacific-ward Ordovician–Silurian Lachlan–Tuhua–Robertson Bay–Swanson Orogen. A calcsilicate gneiss from Deep Sea Drilling Project 270 drill hole in the central Ross Sea, Antarctica, gives a U-Pb titanite age of 437 ± 6 Ma (2σ). This age of high-grade metamorphism is too young for typical Ross Orogen. Based on this age, and on lithology, we propose a provisional correlation with the Early Palaeozoic Lachlan–Tuhua–Robertson Bay–Swanson Orogen, and possibly the Bowers Terrane of northern Victoria Land. A metamorphosed porphyritic rhyolite dredged from the Iselin Bank, northern Ross Sea, gives a U-Pb zircon age of 545 ± 32 Ma (2σ). The U-Pb age, petrochemistry, Ar-Ar K-feldspar dating, and Sr and Nd isotopic ratios indicate a correlation with Late Proterozoic–Cambrian igneous protoliths of the Ross Orogen. If the Iselin Bank rhyolite is not ice-rafted debris, then it represents a further intriguing occurrence of Ross basement found outside the main Ross–Delamerian Orogen

    Developing an On-Line Interactive Health Psychology Module.

    On-line teaching material in health psychology was developed which ensured a range of students could access appropriate material for their course and level of study. This material has been developed around the concept of smaller 'content chunks' which can be combined into whole units of learning (topics), and ultimately, a module. On the basis of the underlying philosophy that the medium is part of the message, we considered interactivity to be a key element in engaging the student with the material. Consequently, the key aim of this development was to stimulate and engage students, promoting better involvement with the academic material, and hence better learning. It was hoped that this was achieved through the development of material including linked programmes and supporting material, small Java Scripts and basic email, forms and HTML additions. This material is outlined as are some of the interactive activities introduced, and the preliminary student and tutor experience described

Hal ini dapat diwujudkan melalui kerjasama internal dengan membuka kelas kerjasama atau kelas industri pada SMK. SMKN 10 Malang adalah salah satu sekolah yang menerapkan kelas kerjasama dengan pihak Honda di jurusan teknik kendaraan ringan. Kelas tersebut bernama kelas HTEC (Honda Technician Education Class) yang dirilis sejak tanggal 10 Desember 2014. Tujuan dengan adanya kelas HTEC ini mampu meningkatkan kompetensi produktif siswa pada kelas XII agar  mempunyai kompetensi yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kompetensi produktif antara siswa kelas industri dengan kelas reguler. Desain penelitian ini termasuk dalam desain eksperimen dengan post-test only control design. Variabel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari variabel bebas dan variabel terikat. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah pengelompokkan kelas yang terdiri dari kelas industri dan kelas reguler sedangkan kompetensi produktif merupakan variabel terikat. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII Teknik Kendaraan Ringan pada kelas industri dan kelas reguler menggunakancluster sampling dan proportional sample sebagai teknik pengambilan sampel penelitian. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik uji t (Independent Sample t-Test). Rata-rata nilai post-test kompetensi produktif siswa kelas industri adalah 83.8 dan rata-rata nilai post-test kompetensi produktif siswa kelas reguler adalah 76.94. Hasil uji t diperoleh nilai sig.
