Optimization on the financial management of the bank with goal programming model
Financial management is crucial for planning bank’s asset and liabilities while takingconsideration for multiple objectives. The objective of this study is to develop a GoalProgramming (GP) model to optimize the financial management of Public Bank Berhad inMalaysia. Six goals from the financial statements namely total asset, total liability, total equity, profit, earning and optimum management items are investigated for the period from 2011 to 2015. The results of this study indicate that all six goals are fully achieved by using the GP model. This study is significant because it helps to develop a mathematical model to examine the financial strengths of Public Bank Berhad in Malaysia. Besides that, the potential improvement on liability, equity, profit, earning and optimum management item of Public Bank Berhadcan be identified in this study based on the deviation from the target value.Keywords: Asset; Liability; Equity; Profit; Earning; Optimum Management Item
Analysis and control of bifurcation and chaos in averaged queue length in TCP/RED model
This paper studies the bifurcation and chaos phenomena in averaged queue length in a
developed Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) model with Random Early Detection
(RED) mechanism. Bifurcation and chaos phenomena are nonlinear behaviour in network
systems that lead to degradation of the network performance. The TCP/RED model used
is a model validated previously. In our study, only the average queue size k q

considered, and the results are based on analytical model rather than actual measurements.
The instabilities in the model are studied numerically using the conventional nonlinear
bifurcation analysis. Extending from this bifurcation analysis, a modified RED algorithm
is derived to prevent the observed bifurcation and chaos regardless of the selected
parameters. Our modification is for the simple scenario of a single RED router carrying
only TCP traffic. The algorithm neither compromises the throughput nor the average
queuing delay of the system
Recovery of continuous wave squeezing at low frequencies
We propose and demonstrate a system that produces squeezed vacuum using a
pair of optical parametric amplifiers. This scheme allows the production of
phase sidebands on the squeezed vacuum which facilitate phase locking in
downstream applications. We observe strong, stably locked, continuous wave
vacuum squeezing at frequencies as low as 220 kHz. We propose an alternative
resonator configuration to overcome low frequency squeezing degradation caused

Unification of bulk and interface electroresistive switching in oxide systems
We demonstrate that the physical mechanism behind electroresistive switching
in oxide Schottky systems is electroformation, as in insulating oxides.
Negative resistance shown by the hysteretic current-voltage curves proves that
impact ionization is at the origin of the switching. Analyses of the
capacitance-voltage and conductance-voltage curves through a simple model show
that an atomic rearrangement is involved in the process. Switching in these
systems is a bulk effect, not strictly confined at the interface but at the

Schubert Polynomials for the affine Grassmannian of the symplectic group
We study the Schubert calculus of the affine Grassmannian Gr of the
symplectic group. The integral homology and cohomology rings of Gr are
identified with dual Hopf algebras of symmetric functions, defined in terms of
Schur's P and Q-functions. An explicit combinatorial description is obtained
for the Schubert basis of the cohomology of Gr, and this is extended to a
definition of the affine type C Stanley symmetric functions. A homology Pieri
rule is also given for the product of a special Schubert class with an

A new criterion of delay-dependent asymptotic stability for Hopfield neural networks with time delay
In this brief, the problem of global asymptotic stability for delayed Hopfield neural networks (HNNs) is investigated. A new criterion of asymptotic stability is derived by introducing a new kind of Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and is formulated in terms of a linear matrix inequality (LMI), which can be readily solved via standard software. This new criterion based on a delay fractioning approach proves to be much less conservative and the conservatism could be notably reduced by thinning the delay fractioning. Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor in Pregnancy: A Case Report
Background. Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are the most common mesenchymal tumors of the digestive tract and are diagnosed relatively seldom in pregnancy. Case. We describe a remarkable clinical course and long-term outcome, now nine years after first diagnosis, of a massive and metastatic, with a high malignancy grade GIST case, found in and treated from the first trimester of pregnancy onwards. Conclusion. GIST occurring during pregnancy is extremely rare. However, early diagnosis is important for optimal management. The recent better understanding of oncogenesis, the use of immunohistochemistry for differential diagnosis of GISTs, and the use of imatinib mesylate as the treatment of first choice are—as shown in this case—important for care of pregnant women with this type of malignancy
