Bifurcation structure of a swept source laser
We numerically analyze a delay differential equation model of a short-cavity semiconductor laser with an intracavity frequency swept filter and reveal a complex bifurcation structure responsible for the asymmetry of the output characteristics of this laser. We show that depending on the direction of the frequency sweep of a narrowband filter, there exist two bursting cycles determined by different parts of a continuous-wave solutions branch
Design of Primers for Detection and Typing of Ξ²-Lactamase Genes from Pathogenic Species of Burkholderia
The set of oligonucleotide primers was designed to identify Ξ²-lactam-resitance determinats in isolates of pathogenic Burkholderia using PCR. Simultaneously identified was certain molecular class of detected Ξ²-lactamases. PCR with primers specific to metallo-Ξ²-lactamase (class B) and oxacillinase of D-ala carboxypeptidase family (class D of Ξ²-lactamase) gene sequences allowed to differentiate among pseudomallei group of Burkholderia species

of a range caused by sampling of a nonquantized signal with angular modulation is considered.
For two types of signals, with linear and nonlinear frequency modulations, have calculated the
dependences allowing to determine the necessary frequency of sampling by a preset value of
relative mean square assessment of distortions of signal
Post-traumatic reactions of a rat spinal cord after transplantation of human olfactory mucosa cells
In the model of adult rat spinal cord contusion on the Th9 level effect of the immediate transplantation of the human olfactory mucosa cell into the damaged area were studied. No immunosuppression was used. It was shown that transplanted cells were survived as long as 7 days after transplantation and located in rostral and caudal directions in white matter on the 2 mm distance from points of injections. It was shown also that transplanted cells migrated into peripheral zone of the damaged area. The size of damaged area in white and especially in gray matters were decreased after 30 and 60 days after transplantation. The same time after 30 days after transplantation the size of pathological cavities mostly in anterior column were obviously diminished and that number of undamaged myelinated nerve fibers were increased in number around the area of transplantation
Ce-doped Li6Ln(BO3)3 (Ln = Y, Gd) Single crystals fibers grown by micro-pulling down method and luminescence properties
Ce3+-doped borate crystal fibers of Li6Gd(BO 3)3 (LGBO) and Li6Y(BO3)3 (LYBO) compositions are grown by the micro-pulling down (ΞΌ-PD) method for potential application in developing new neutron detectors. The ternary equilibrium diagram of Li2O-Gd2O3-B 2O3 is drawn and the preparations of homogeneous mixed LGBO and LYBO powders and growth conditions for single crystal fibers are discussed. Absorption, excitation and X-ray luminescence spectra are investigated. Absolute light yield derived from energy spectra and kinetic decay curves measured under Ξ±- and Ξ³-scintillations of Ce 3+-doped LGBO and LYBO single crystal fibers is provided.
