Electrically Guided DNA Immobilization and Multiplexed DNA Detection with Nanoporous Gold Electrodes.
Molecular diagnostics have significantly advanced the early detection of diseases, where the electrochemical sensing of biomarkers (e.g., DNA, RNA, proteins) using multiple electrode arrays (MEAs) has shown considerable promise. Nanostructuring the electrode surface results in higher surface coverage of capture probes and more favorable orientation, as well as transport phenomena unique to nanoscale, ultimately leading to enhanced sensor performance. The central goal of this study is to investigate the influence of electrode nanostructure on electrically-guided immobilization of DNA probes for nucleic acid detection in a multiplexed format. To that end, we used nanoporous gold (np-Au) electrodes that reduced the limit of detection (LOD) for DNA targets by two orders of magnitude compared to their planar counterparts, where the LOD was further improved by an additional order of magnitude after reducing the electrode diameter. The reduced electrode diameter also made it possible to create a np-Au MEA encapsulated in a microfluidic channel. The electro-grafting reduced the necessary incubation time to immobilize DNA probes into the porous electrodes down to 10 min (25-fold reduction compared to passive immobilization) and allowed for grafting a different DNA probe sequence onto each electrode in the array. The resulting platform was successfully used for the multiplexed detection of three different biomarker genes relevant to breast cancer diagnosis
Quality and it's Role in Growth of Bosnian and Herzegovinian Economy
Nowadays in an extremely competitive environment one of the most important issues is efficient management of total business processes which as a result should lead to achieving better financial and development goals and fulfilling customer’s wishes. Efficient management turns to be quality management which includes different methods and techniques. Achieving expected quality of the products and services, as well as total business processes in all aspects, is the only way of surviving in this competitive environment. Framework for the quality implementation in the company is postulates of the different quality concept, such as TQM, Kaizen or Six Sigma. ISO and other certificates are assurance of the product quality. On the other hand, it can be very effective means for entering foreign markets. Due to importance of mentioned concepts and importance of obtaining certificates, this paper is focused on the methodology of the quality management as well as on experiences from real sector and research results. Main aim of research is to determine practical assumptions for efficient quality management and its role in a growth of economy.total business processes, TQM, Kaizen, Six Sigma, ISO, growth of economy
Motivation of the youth of Bosnia and Herzegovina to start a business: Examining aspects of education and social and political engagement
In the present study, several logit models were tested to identify
the antecedents of entrepreneurial intention among the youth of
Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H). Specifically, we explore whether
demographic and socio-economic characteristic or whether perceptions
of education curriculum and social and political engagement
as well as the perception of media influence have an
impact on the intention to start one’s own business. Data analysis
was done on a sample of 3,611 young people. Education level
and perception of the standard of living have an impact on the
attitude towards self-employment. In addition, the perception of
education curriculum and parents support in education is linked
with the entrepreneurial intention. Furthermore, some campaigns
of social and political engagement are significant predictors of
the propensity towards starting the business. Finally, the perception
of media influence impacts entrepreneurial intention positively.
The findings have important implications for policymakers
and universities
Visual cryptography scheme with digital watermarking in sharing secret information from car number plate digital images
In this paper a visual cryptography scheme with a binary additive stream cipher is used to form the meaningless shares (share images or multiple layers) of original digital image, hiding some secret information. Each share image holds some information, but at the receiver side only when all of them are superimposed, the secret information is revealed by human vision without any complex computation. Proposed algorithm for generating shares is applied in MATLAB programming environment, using MATLAB built-in functions to create sequences of pseudorandom numbers or streams, which are used to make share images of original digital image. The input image is first converted into a binary image, shares are generated using pixel expansion scheme, and after that are sent to the receiver. At the received side, the shares could be printed in separate transparent sheets and overlapped in order to reveal the secret image, with some loss in contrast when compared to the original image. An algorithm is applied to car number plate digital images with watermark. Digital image watermarking method is used to embed some data in a car number plate digital image in order to verify the credibility of the content or the identity of the owner
An implementation of Weighted Least Squares method in Central Bank Twitter Accounts Grew prediction
This paper presents some advantages of using social media and social networks as an efficient way of Central Banks communication with target audience. The statistics given in this paper presents some leading banks based on number of followers on Twitter in 2018, showing that Indonesia’s Central Bank has more Twitter followers than any other monetary authority, beating out the Banco de Mexico, Federal Reserve, European Central Bank and Reserve Bank of India. In this paper some prediction of number of Twitter followers in Central Bank communication is also contributed, based on Weighted Least Squares method. An algorithm is implemented in MATLAB, while weights are used to minimize the error between the predicted and actual output sequence, presented with number of followers for each bank
Priključna mašina za monofaznu kompleksnu agrotehniku
The accessory machine for monophase complex agro-technology, as a product
on the market of agricultural mechanization, will cause particular interes, because the
machine with its solutions is a novelty in agricultural technology. It will be the turning
point in contemporary technology. The effects of machine usage will give resuls that
were until now in the domain of theory, when it comes to preservation and facilitation of
factor that affect the physical, biological and chemical properties of soil, and its optimal
structuring and preparation for sowing, and it will provide the optimal position for and
deplacement of seeds and conditions for optimal developoment and utilization of genetic
capacites. The second important reason is of the economical nature, and refers to saving
of machine and human time, expenses, and increases the gain due to utilization of better
conditions that increase fertility.Priključna mašina za monofaznu kompleksnu agrotehniku, služi operaciji
sjetve, a prije tog i pripremi tla, kojom su uređeni svi potrebni fizički i biološki uslovi za
optimalan rast i prinos.
Operacijama
višeslojnoga zbijanja i ravnanja homogeniziranoga tla uređuje se dobar raspored i spoj
sjemena i zemljišta, kapilarnost, brže klijanje i postižu zahtijevi pojedinih vrsta za
zbijenošću tla ispod i iznad položene sjemenke.
Obavlja se homogeniziran raspored hraniva po cijelom presjeku i pravilan raspored

Entrepreneurial intention of students in Bosnia and Herzegovina: what type of support matters?
This study investigates the impact of perceived formal, informal
and regulatory support on entrepreneurial intention. In addition,
entrepreneurial capacity and fear of failure are analyzed as predictors
of the propensity toward entrepreneurship. An empirical analysis
of students in B&H finds that informal support perceived as
support of family and friends exert a significant positive influence
on entrepreneurial intentions. Fear of failure has a significant
adverse impact on entrepreneurial intentions while entrepreneurial
capacity enhances entrepreneurial intention. The negative relationship
between the fear of failure and entrepreneurial intention
is moderated by informal support. In other words, support by
family and friends dampens the negative relationship between
fear of failure and entrepreneurial intention. The findings were
confronted with an ex-post literature review
