Four point function of stress-tensor multiplet at strong coupling
In this short note we use the flat space limit and the relation between the
4-pt correlation function of the bottom and top components of the stress tensor
multiplet to constraint its stringy corrections at strong coupling in the
planar limit. Then we use this four point function to compute corrections to
the anomalous dimension of double trace operators of the Lagrangian density and
to compute energy-energy correlators at strong coupling.Comment: 25 pages; Typos fixed, improved OPE analysis, added reference
No que concerne ao modelo desenvolvido por Tuckman Chang (1991), não se consegue, em nenhuma das versões, validar qualquer das quatro hipóteses de investigação formuladas para o modeloThe present study intend to test if the original model created for non-profit organizations by Tuckman and Chang (1991) shows a bigger capacity to identify and predict the financial vulnerability of this type of organizations, specifically of the Holy Houses of Mercy of the North of Portugal, face to the model of Altman (1968) applied originally for the purpose of profit organizations. To find it, it was performed a logistic regression for each of the models object of study in two different versions and with data referring to the years 2010 to 2012. The results have shown that the model developed by Tuckman and Chang (1991) is the one that presents the best results, particularly in the version in which consider the mercies financially vulnerable, for the purposes of the definition of the dependent variable in each model, and those that present net results in the negative period in the last two years. The model of Tuckman and Chang (1991) in this version allows you to validate two of the four hypotheses set for the model and it is the one that presents better quality adjustment, and where there are more cases correctly classified. In relation to the model developed by Tuckman Chang (1991), cannot, in any of the versions, validate any of the four research hypotheses formulated for the mode
The effect of individual work and teamwork on stress, commitment and motivation : the role of generations
The aim of this research is to evaluate the effect of working individually or integrated in a team
on stress, commitment and motivation. Moreover, it also addresses the idea of Generations as
a moderator variable between the previous relationship. Data was collected from 179
respondents using a questionnaire. Results of the main effect analysis showed that the
relationship between the type of work and the variables stress, motivation and commitment
was not significant, which is in line with the theoretical concepts from previous literature where
a direct effect is not supported. As for the moderation effect, the results were also non significant, showing that Generations do not play any interaction on the variables under
research.
The non-significance of the results might be explained by the non-linearity in terms of how
individuals react to teamwork and individual work, with everyone responding in a different
way, being hard to predict human beings’ behavior when facing both situations. Furthermore,
experience bias should also be considered, with individuals taking their perception as being the
objective truth, relying on past experiences to form an opinion.
This study adds to the existing literature by supporting the theoretical concepts with empirical
findings, as well as introducing the moderation effect of Generations, which even though not
supported, creates a baseline for further research.O objetivo deste estudo é avaliar o efeito do trabalho individual ou integrado numa equipa
An SNMP-based audio distribution service architecture
Dissertação de mestrado em Engenharia de Redes e Serviços TelemáticosThe constant growth of integration and popularity of “Internet of Things”
devices is affecting home automation systems, where new technologies were
introduced, in the recent years for this particular sector. These automation
systems integrate devices that can be anywhere in the house, connected
to a home network, either through a wire or wireless connection. A home
automation system can be used to control air conditioning, lighting, pool
control systems, home-entertainment systems and much more.
Within the field of home-entertainment systems, the best known technologies
are the Digital Living Network Alliance and the Digital Audio Access
Protocol, which provide interoperability to allow sharing of digital media
content between devices across a home network. However, these technologies
have the disadvantage of being proprietary, maintaining restrict documentation
access, complex architectures and concepts and not optimal to specific
purposes, like audio distribution.
The main goal of this project was to prove that is possible to use standardized
protocols, such as the Simple Network Manager Protocol and open
source tools in order to develop a music distribution service that allows the
implementation of similar features than the ones already existing proprietary
technologies. As such, the implementation prototype system allows a user
to manage and play audio from a music collection that is stored in a single
home audio server. The system architecture enables audio streaming between
the server and the various devices in the same local network. Further more,
the music collection, can integrate virtual audio files that are available from
A arquitetura permite streaming
Reference pricing with elastic demand for pharmaceuticals
This paper analyzes pharmaceutical producers (of branded and generic drugs) pricing de- cisions in a context which combines the classical Hotelling framework (commonly adopted in the literature) with the possibility that consumers demands are price elastic. We analyze with particular interest two commonly adopted reimbursement mechanisms: xed percentage reim- bursement (FPR) and reference pricing (RP). We nd that assuming an elastic demand has a signi cant impact under a RP mechanism, as it allows rms to raise their prices when the copayment rate increases. Contrary to previous literature, we show that RP may be worse than FPR in terms of social welfare for su¢ ciently high copayment rates. From a policy viewpoint, our results indicate that the introduction of RP is not necessarily always bene cial (compared to FPR) and thus constitute a model towards which all reimbursement mechanisms should converge.info:eu-repo/semantics/draf
Two loop five point integrals: light, heavy and large spin correlators
We evaluated all two loop conformal integrals appearing in five point
correlation functions of protected operators of Super
Yang-Mills in several kinematical regimes. Starting from the correlation
function of the lightest operators of the theory, we were able to extract
structure constants of up to two spinning operators for small and large values
of polarizations and spin. We conjectured an universal all loop behaviour for
the large spin small polarization structure constants and comment on the
subtleties of analytically continuing it from finite to large spin. We also
consider correlation functions of heavier operators that get factorized in the
more fundamental object called decagon. We fixed this object at two loops in
general kinematics and studied its physical properties under OPE and null
limits.Comment: 34 pages, 2 figures, 6 auxiliary file
