The active legitimation of the workers committees in the judicial process of collective dismissal

    Get PDF
In this study we analyze the capacity of the democratically elected worker committees (in the absence of trade union representatives in the company) to bring judicial proceedings for collective dismissal

Enhanced two-photon emission from a dressed biexciton

Radiative two-photon cascades from biexcitons in semiconductor quantum dots under resonant two-photon excitation are promising candidates for the generation of photon pairs. In this work, we propose a scheme to obtain two-photon emission that allows to operate under very intense driving fields. This approach relies on the Purcell enhancement of two-photon virtual transitions between states of the biexciton dressed by the laser. The richness provided by the biexcitonic level structure allows to reach a variety of regimes, from antibunched and bunched photon pairs with polarization orthogonal to the driving field, to polarization entangled two-photon emission. This evidences that the general paradigm of two-photon emission from a ladder of dressed states can find interesting, particular implementations in a variety of systems

    Exciting polaritons with quantum light

We discuss the excitation of polaritons---strongly-coupled states of light and matter---by quantum light, instead of the usual laser or thermal excitation. As one illustration of the new horizons thus opened, we introduce Mollow spectroscopy, a theoretical concept for a spectroscopic technique that consists in scanning the output of resonance fluorescence onto an optical target, from which weak nonlinearities can be read with high precision even in strongly dissipative environments.Comment: 5 pages, 3 figure

    Get PDF

How can we all help conserve nature?

    Get PDF
When we speak about conserving nature, we are really talking about taking care of our future, because nature provides essential resources for our survival and enjoyment. We asked an international group of scientists working on different environmental issues worldwide to identify important practical actions that we can all do to help conserve nature. We obtained nearly 100 responses and grouped them into three main categories: (1) Actions to reduce our ecological footprint; (2) Actions to conserve nature; and (3) Actions that help us connect with nature. We briefly explain actions that can be performed daily to reduce our impact on nature, and provide some useful links for further readin

Strategies of the Andalusian Historical Heritage Information System

    Get PDF
Inglés: This chapter presents the strategies that should be followed by priority directions for action in the Andalusian Historic Heritage Information System (SIPHA). Firstly, it analyzes the future integration of SIPHA with the Information System for the Management of Cultural Goods (MOSAICO). It carries out an initial global evaluative reflection of the System based on the experience, observation and statistical data of the Information System and of SIPHA user modules. The chapter proposes two lines of analysis and evaluation of the SIPHA from the perspective of users (use and impact) and from the analysis and evaluation of the information with the aim of establishing corrective actions of the System and directives and directions for heritage tutelage. Lastly, the chapter presents different strategies that contribute to updating and qualifying the information of the System and the transfer of this information to society through the development of information products and services
