An empirical biometric-based study for user identification from different roles in the online game League of Legends
© 2017 CEUR-WS. All rights reserved. The popularity of computer games has grown exponentially in the last few years. In some games, players can choose to play with different characters from a pre-defined list, exercising distinct roles in each match. Although such games were created to promote competition and promote self-improvement, there are several recurrent issues. One that has received the least amount of attention is the problem of "account sharing" so far is when a player pays more experienced players to progressing in the game. The companies running those games tend to punish this behaviour, but this specific case is hard to identify. The aim of this study is to use a database of mouse and keystroke dynamics biometric data of League of Legends players as a case study to understand the specific characteristics a player will keep (or not) when playing different roles and distinct characters
Perceptions of nursing undergraduate students concerning the human dimension in the learning process
The Underestimation Of Egocentric Distance: Evidence From Frontal Matching Tasks
There is controversy over the existence, nature, and cause of error in egocentric distance judgments. One proposal is that the systematic biases often found in explicit judgments of egocentric distance along the ground may be related to recently observed biases in the perceived declination of gaze (Durgin & Li, Attention, Perception, & Psychophysics, in press), To measure perceived egocentric distance nonverbally, observers in a field were asked to position themselves so that their distance from one of two experimenters was equal to the frontal distance between the experimenters. Observers placed themselves too far away, consistent with egocentric distance underestimation. A similar experiment was conducted with vertical frontal extents. Both experiments were replicated in panoramic virtual reality. Perceived egocentric distance was quantitatively consistent with angular bias in perceived gaze declination (1.5 gain). Finally, an exocentric distance-matching task was contrasted with a variant of the egocentric matching task. The egocentric matching data approximate a constant compression of perceived egocentric distance with a power function exponent of nearly 1; exocentric matches had an exponent of about 0.67. The divergent pattern between egocentric and exocentric matches suggests that they depend on different visual cues
Trend analysis of the quality indicators for the Brazilian cervical cancer screening programme by region and state from 2006 to 2013
Quality indicators for the Brazilian cervical cancer screening programme can provide a perspective on its effectiveness in Brazilian macro-regions and states. The aim of this study was to perform a trend analysis of the cervical cancer screening program's quality indicators, according to Brazilian regions and states, from 2006 to 2013.(undefined)info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
This study highlights the teaching of care in Nursing Graduation according to the Complexity Theory, supported by Edgar Morin. This is a qualitative study using Thematic Content Analysis. Twelve individual semi-structured interviews were performed at a private university in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. Data collection was performed between 2004 and 2005, using a guiding question. Data analysis revealed categories, herein referred to as Complex Pedagogical Indicators, which assigned meanings to complex care. Results showed that the interviewees realized and expressed sensitive care in nursing, making relations and interrelations of the parts with the whole and the whole with the parts, thus approaching complex care
Nurses are professionals required to compose the minimum staff of this device, which values the group activities involving users. This study presents a r report of the experience of nursing undergraduates from Universidade Federal do Mato Grosso(UFMT) on their conducting waiting-room group sessions with relatives of users of a CAPS from Cuiabá, Mato Grosso state. This experience is justified by the fact that nursing students have few opportunities to develop group approach abilities during their graduation course, which focuses mainly on clinical individual care. The aim of the experience was to provide theoretical-practical learning of all the work stages of group work: recognizing the need and possibility of conducting the activity, planning, coordination and group evaluation. The results confirm the need and possibility of performing group experiences in mental health care and in nursing education
Estresse e Burnout entre residentes multiprofissionais
OBJECTIVE: To identify associations between high-stress and burnout syndrome in multidisciplinary residents from a federal university in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. METHOD: This is an analytical, cross-sectional and quantitative study. A socio-demographic questionnaire, the Work Stress Scale and the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Health Services Survey (MBI-HSS) were applied to 37 residents between April and June 2011.
