Objective. To study metabolic changes and peculiarities of mineral balance depending on the common loop length while constructing of the simulated model of gastric shunting with one anastomosis during 60 days. Materials and methods. Experimental simulation of gastric minishunting with one anastomosis of various length of bilio-pancreatic loop was constructed on the rats. In 10 rats the anastomosis was formatted on level of half of total length of small intestine (Group I), and also in 10 - a third part of general length of small intestine (Group II). Control Group consisted of 5 rats. The indices of the extra body mass loss and metabolic changes were compared. Results. In the rats of Group I the index of the body mass loss have constituted 16.6% (41.7 gm), and of the Group II -20.6% (53.2 gm). Lowering of indices of mineral and prion metabolism, comparing preoperative values, was observed in both Groups. Dystrophic changes in osseous tissue of vertebral bodies of lumbar vertebral column were noted in animals of both Groups, more pronounced - in Group II. Conclusion. The protein and mineral metabolism disorders may be observed not only in large resection volume, but in exclusion of half and more segment of small bowel from general transit, using gastric shunting, what lacks significant advantages in the extra body mass loss, but leads to more profound metabolic disorders

Biofouling growth on plastic substrates: Experimental studies in the Black Sea

Despite long-term research on marine litter there is still insufficient knowledge about benthic organisms associated with these substrates, especially experimental studies and methodology of sampling for complex biofouling assemblages. To predict the fate of plastic in the marine environment it is necessary to know how long the macrolitter can stay in different sea matrices and what are the steps of colonisation by marine organisms. The experiments were carried out during various seasons in situ in the north-western Black Sea coastal area. Three new types of the experimental constructions intended for different durations of exposure (1–10 months) were designed. This article is the first to present the methodology and the results of complex experiments investigating marine fouling (from microalgae to meio- and macrofauna) on plastic surfaces. Overall, 28 genera of microalgae, 13 major groups of meiobenthos and 36 species of macrofauna were found on plastic during the experiments. The microalgae fouling was mainly formed by representatives of genus Cocconeis. The species composition of microalgae was common for the research area. The average density and biomass of meiobenthos were the greatest on I construction type after 8 months of exposure. In the total macrozoobenthos biomass and density of Bivalvia and Crustacea dominated, respectively. The obtained results on the interaction between fouling organisms and plastic materials in the marine environment form an important contribution to the understanding of the "good ecological status" of the sea. Additional studies based on the tested methodology could be used as a component of ecological monitoring during development and implementation of the approaches of the Marine Strategy (descriptor 10)

This article considers synthesized aperture radar (SAR), developed and manufactured in Radio Astronomy Institute of Ukrainian Academy of Sciences. SAR operates in 3 cm frequency band and it intended for obtaining multi-view images from light-motor planes. Technical and scientific solutions found during design of this radar are described. Characteristics examples of obtained images are provided

The global financial crisis and its impact on Ukraine's economy

Against the background of the recent and current global financial crisis traceable to corporate irresponsibility on the part of some financial sector players in developed countries especially the United States of America in the housing and credit markets, many economists and non-economists are raising their voices against globalization of finance. In simple language, globalization of finance is evident as the integration of the financial systems of many countries of the world. On the other hand, the financial crisis describes various negative changes in the financial system evident as the sudden loss of value of assets, banking sector panics, credit crunch, sovereign defaults and stock market crashes among others (Mazurenko et al., 2021; Bozhenko, 2021; Starchenko et al., 2021; Dudchenko, 2020; Yelnikova and Barhaq, 2020; Goncharenko and Lopa, 2020; Eddassi, 2020)

This paper proposes a method for protected implementation of Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) and Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) at remote processors of cloud systems. Proposed method ensures protection of data against unauthorized access during network transmission and during processing on remote computer systems. The method is based on stream encryption and using of additional masking for signals. The proposed procedure for data encryption and decryption after processing are described in details. A numerical example for encryption and decryption for both DFT and FFT are given. The effectiveness of proposed method is proved theoretically and experimentally

Identification of Saturn Lightnings Recorded by the UTR-2 Radio Telescope and Cassini Spacecraft

International audienceThe Saturn electrostatic discharges (SED) simultaneously recorded in the initial period of storm F at the UTR-2 radio telescope and Cassini spacecraft are investigated. The UTR-2 used the FFT-spectral receiver operating 12÷33 MHz, while the Cassini the serial spectrum analyser RPWS (Radio Plasma Wave Science) operating 1.8÷16 MHz. The ground and space data processed have shown very good agreement. E-folding time of SED and its dependence on episode intensity in the initial period of storm F were determined
