Correction of endothelial dysfunction among patients suffering from diabetes mellitus
The number of patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) according to WHO is constantly increasing. At the same time, it is known that one of the main pathogenetic links of diabetes is excessive activation of processes of free radical oxidation. Literary sources indicate that phenolic compounds are effectively acting as synergists and regulators of the antioxidant system, the most numerous of which are flavonoids, including anthocyanins. A number of researchers distinguish flavonoids as promising endothelioprotectors under different pathological conditions.
Goal: to investigate the dynamics of the content of markers of endothelial dysfunction among patients with diabetes mellitus correcting the pro- and antioxidant system with the help of flavonoids.
Materials and methods. The study involved 40 patients with type 2 diabetes at the age of 40 to 60 years. To study the effectiveness of flavonoids under these conditions, we chose the drug "GEMOGLOBIN NECTAR PLUS". The first stage of the study was the determination of Willebrand factor and endothelin-1 in the blood serum before the flavonoids were taken. The second stage of the study was the determination of the test markers of endothelial dysfunction 2 months after the start of the regular intake of the drug anthocyanins, which are known as flavonoids.
As a result of our study, the following data were obtained:
The relationship between pro and antioxidant system disorders and endothelial dysfunction among patients with diabetes mellitus was confirmed. The normalization of Willebrand factor among patients taking flavonoids according to data obtained before the use of the drug was proved. There was a change in the vaconstrictor-vasodilatation potential under the action of the anthocyanin concentrate directing to the reducing of pathological vasoconstriction and, consequently, normalization of blood supply processes. The drug "GEMOGLOBIN NECTAR PLUS", being a powerful antioxidant, significantly improves the functional state of the endothelium

Features of the system of antioxidant protection and lipid peroxidation in microangiopathies against type 2 diabetes mellitus
The article presents the results of an experimental study of the AOР and LPО system in animals simulated complications of the microcirculatory tract (diabetic retinopathy, diabetic nephropathy) on the background of type 2 diabetes. It was found that in the group of animals with type 2 diabetes increased the level of DC, TBCproducts and MDA; catalase and FG levels decreased. In animals with simulated DN, AOP disorders were more pronounced compared to animals with DR. This trend can be explained by the fact that in addition to hyperglycemia in these animals, the excessive formation of free radicals contributes to metabolic shifts in ischemic areas of tissues and organs. Disturbance of balance in AOP and LPO in type 2 diabetes triggers a pathogenetic cascade of development of complications of the microcirculatory tract and is accompanied by a tendency to further increase the generation of reactive oxygen species and activation of POL in microangiopathies
Effect of Cr spacer on structural and magnetic properties of Fe/Gd multilayers
In this work we analyse the role of a thin Cr spacer between Fe and Gd layers
on structure and magnetic properties of a [Fe(35A)/Cr(tCr)/Gd(50A)/Cr(tCr)]x12
superlattice. Samples without the Cr spacer (tCr=0) and with a thin tCr=4A are
investigated using X-ray diffraction, polarized neutron and resonance X-ray
magnetic reflectometry, SQUID magnetometery, magneto-optical Kerr effect and
ferromagnetic resonance techniques. Magnetic properties are studied
experimentally in a wide temperature range 4-300K and analysed theoretically
using numerical simulation on the basis of the mean-field model. We show that a
reasonable agreement with the experimental data can be obtained considering
temperature dependence of the effective field parameter in gadolinium layers.
The analysis of the experimental data shows that besides a strong reduction of
the antiferromagnetic coupling between Fe and Gd, the introduction of Cr
spacers into Fe/Gd superlattice leads to modification of both structural and
magnetic characteristics of the ferromagnetic layers
Magnetoresistive study of antiferromagnetic--weak ferromagnetic transition in single-crystal LaCuO
The resistive measurements were made to study the magnetic field-induced
antiferromagnetic (AF) - weak ferromagnetic (WF) transition in LaCuO
single-crystal. The magnetic field (DC or pulsed) was applied normally to the
CuO layers. The transition manifested itself in a drastic decrease of the
resistance in critical fields of ~5-7 T. The study is the first to display the
effect of the AF -WF transition on the conductivity of the LaCuO
single-crystal in the parallel - to - CuO layers direction. The results
provide support for the 3-dimensional nature of the hopping conduction of this
layered oxide.Comment: 8 pages, 7 figures, RevTe
Magnetization and ferromagnetic resonance in a Fe/Gd multilayer: Experiment and modelling
Static and dynamic magnetic properties of a [Fe(35 Å<rf)/Gd(50 Å)]12 superlattice are investigated experimentally in the temperature range 5-295 K using SQUID magnetometery and the ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) technique at frequencies 7-38 GHz. The obtained magnetization curves and FMR spectra are analysed theoretically using numerical simulation on the basis of the effective field model. At every given temperature, both static and resonance experimental data can be approximated well within the proposed model. However, a considerable temperature dependence of the effective field parameter in gadolinium layers has to be taken into account to achieve reasonable agreement with the experimental data in the entire temperature range studied. To describe the peculiarities of experimental FMR spectra, a non-local diffusion-type absorption term in Landau-Lifshitz equations is considered in addition to the Gilbert damping term. Possible reasons for the observed effects are discussed. © 2017 IOP Publishing Ltd
