Juvenile Growth and Morphological Traits of Micropropagated Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia L.) Clones under Arid Site Conditions.

Abstract - In Hungary black locust (Robinia pseudoacacia L.) is considered as an important exotic stand-forming tree species growing mostly under unfavourable ecological conditions for forest management. Due to climate change effects its importance is increasing in many other countries, too. As a result of a selection programme new black locust clones were tested in clone trials. Juvenile growth and the morphological as well as phenological traits of four micropropagated black locust clones were evaluated in central Hungary under dry site conditions. Significant differences (P&lt;5%) were found for DBH and field survival rate values. At age of 7 the clone R.p. ‘Bácska’ (’KH 56A 2/5’) appears to be especially promising for mass propagation. Tissue culture can be considered as a suitable tool for propagating superior individuals and offers new prospects for the rapid cloning of selected genotypes used for plantation forestry.</jats:p

Ectopia cordis cervicalis esete Holstein fríz borjúban Esetismertetés

A szerzők esetleírásukban bemutatják egy, ectopia cordis cervicalis fejlődési rendellenességben szenvedő, majd két napos korban elhullott, 36 kg testtömegű, Holstein Fríz fajtájú bika borjú rendellenesen helyeződő szívének kamra és pitvar falainak, a megnyúlt aortájának és truncus pulmonalisának, valamint a tüdő lebenyeinek patológiai, kórszövettani vizsgálatát. A jobb és bal pitvarban a szívizomsejtek hypertrophiáját és multifocalis degeneratióját, lysisét; multiplex interstitialis, ill. intramuscularis acut vérzést; enyhefokú lympho(histio)cytás gyulladást; interstitialis vizenyőt, valamint a jobb pitvarban interstitialis fibrosis jeleit észlelték. A kamrai szabad falakban, ill. a septumban szívizomsejtek hypertrophiáját, enyhefokú perinuclearis lipofuscin felhalmozódást, valamint cardiomyocyták multifocalis vacuolisatióját, lysisét; multiplex interstitialis, ill. intramuscularis acut vérzést; interstitialis vizenyőt (lymphoedemát); enyhefokú lympho(histio)cytás gyulladást; lymphangiectasiát tapasztaltak. Az immunhisztokémiai vizsgálatok során valamennyi szívizommintában, ill. a pericardiumban CD3-pozitív T-lymphocytákat figyeltek meg. Az anti-claudin-5 ellenanyaggal végzett immunhisztokémiai vizsgálat során intenzív, linearis membrán-pozitivitást észleltek az intramyocardialis erek endotheliumában, defectusok jelei nélkül. A megnyúlt aorta- és truncus pulmonalis falakban nem tapasztaltunk a kórszövettani és az immunhisztokémiai vizsgálatokkal elváltozást. A tüdőben multiplex thrombosist, heveny vénás pangást, haemostasist; heveny multifocalis, confluáló interstitialis és intraalveolaris vérzést; multifocalis meconiumaspiratiót, ill. aspiratiós-pneumoniát figyeltek meg. A qRT-PCR technikával, BVD-, IBR-, Bluetongue-, ill. Schmallenberg vírus nukleinsavának kimutatására irányuló vizsgálatok negatív eredménnyel zárultak

Growth and Yield of Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia L.) Stands in Nyírség Growing Region (North-East Hungary)

Background and Purpose: In Hungary the black locust (Robinia pseudoacacia L.) can be considered as the most important fast-growing stand-forming exotic tree species. Due to its favourite growing technological characteristics as well as its wood utilization possibilities the present area occupied by black locust stands amounts to 460 thousand hectares. Of its growing districts Nyírség (North-East Hungary) has a distinguished importance where the area of black locust stands is appr. 22 700 hectares. The Nyírség region can also be considered as one of the best black locust growing regions in the Carpathian basin. To determine their growth rate and yield as exact as possible a local numerical yield table has been constructed on the basis of surveys of the experimental plots established in pure, managed black locust stands. Material and Methods: The local black locust yield table was constructed from data gathered on 105 sampling plots with average area of 1 000 m2. The total area of the experimental plots was 9.295 ha. In the course of the stand surveys the key stand characteristics were measured, and then, on the basis of data collected, were calculated the average height, diameter (DBH), volume, basal area and stem number given separately for the main (remaining), secondary (removal) and total stands per hectare. Results and Conclusion: Black locust yield table presented in this paper is the first local one in the history of the Hungarian black locust research. The programmable editing procedure allows extension and formal change of information content of the yield table according to different demands. This type of yield tables (standards) somewhat reflects the local growing-technological (forest tending) characteristics better way, on the other hand refer to the trend of quality and quantity changing of black locust stands growing in a given area

Kísérlet a munka, energia témakör feldolgozására hatosztályos gimnázium 8. osztályában

A visszatekintés, a hibák feltárása és azok javítása fontos és állandó feladata a tanároknak. Az összefüggő tanítási gyakorlatom alatt a teljes munka, energia témakört tanítottam 8. osztályos gimnazistáknak, amely kapcsán a fentebbi folyamatot is elvégeztem. Az Eötvös József Gimnáziumban nagyon rövid ideje tanulják ilyen formában a fizikát, ezért sok újítás most került kipróbálásra. A számos újdonság közül a legtöbb eredményesen működött, de akadtak nehézségek is a feldolgozás során. Szakdolgozatomban összefoglalom, hogy milyen eszközök álltak rendelkezésre a témakör tanításához, milyen nehézségek merültek fel, azokra milyen megoldási javaslatokat teszek és maga a feldolgozás miként zajlott, külön részletezve a későbbiekben is használható eredményes módszereket, mint a tanulókísérlet és a projektmunka.MSc/MAMatematika - Fizika Tanári MS

A Catalan-számok a kombinatorikában gyakran előforduló számok. A dolgozatban a Catalan-számokra vonatkozó problémákból adunk egy válogatást. Kiemelten foglalkozunk a koordinátarendszerbeli lépéssorozatos, a körvonalas, a sokszögfelbontási, a gyökeres fás és a zárójelezési problémával, az utolsó fejezetben pedig bemutatunk további három problémát. Ha ezeket a problémákat kicsit módosítjuk, akkor több esetben is visszatérő rokon számokat kapunk, nevezetesen a Fine-, a Delannoy-, a Schröder-, a Hipparkhosz- és a Motzkin-számokat. Climate Change Induced Tree Mortality in a Relict Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) Forest

Mortality appeared in a relict Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) forest where the sandy pine forest association (Pinetum-Festuco vaginatae sylvestris) is unique in the Carpathian Basin. To identify the complex causes of tree mortality, we analysed the climatic and soil conditions completed with bryological and biotical (pests) surveys. Altogether the results show that unfavourable soil conditions (coarse sand) and increasing aridity have led to a decline in tree vitality. Bark beetles have a high population density in the stand, and they have colonised both the felled trap trees and the standing trees, where the beetles contributed to tree mortality. New spreading invasive moss species have appeared in the recently formed gaps, where crone projection is low. The disappearance of this relict forest stresses the urgent need for Hungarian forest management to prepare strategies for adaptive tree species selection

A case of ectopia cordis cervicalis in a Holstein Friesian calf - Case report

SUMMARY The authors report a histopathological investigation of the myocardium, aorta, truncus pulmonalis and lungs from a two-days-old Holstein Friesian bull calf carcass with ectpoia cordis cervicalis. The atriums showed hallmarks of myocardial hypertrophy, multifocal myodegeneration, multiplex interstitial and intramuscular acute haemorrhages; mild lympho(histio)cytic inflammation; interstitial oedema, furthermore right atrial interstitial fibrosis. The ventricles showed hallmarks of myocardial hypertrophy, mild perinuclear lipofuscin accumulation, multifocal myocardial vacuolisation, -lysis; multiplex interstitial, and intramuscular acute haemorrhages; mild lympho(histio)cytic inflammation; lymphangiectasia, interstitial oedema. In the pericardium, and myocardium they detected CD3-positive T-lymphocytes, and intact claudin-5-positive endothelium of the vessels. The walls of the aorta and truncus pulmonalis were intact. In the lungs multiple thrombosis/thromboembolisation, acute congestion, haemostasis, acute interstitial and intraalveolar haemorrhages, furthermore meconium-aspiration were detected. PCR-analysis was negative for BVD-, IBR-, Bluetongueand Schmallenberg viruses
