Stability analysis of holographic RG flows in 3d supergravity

We study holographic RG flows in a 3d supergravity model from the side of the dynamical system theory. The gravity equations of motion are reduced to an autonomous dynamical system. Then we find equilibrium points of the system and analyze them for stability. We also restore asymptotic solutions near the critical points. We find two types of solutions: with asymptotically AdS metrics and hyperscaling violating metrics. We write down possible RG flows between an unstable (saddle) UV fixed point and a stable (stable node) IR fixed point. We also analyze bifurcations in the model.Comment: 26 pp., 7 figure

Robust methods for stabilization of Hamiltonian systems in economic growth models

The paper discusses the existence of a linear manifold in a vicinity of a steady state for stabilization of the Hamiltonian systems arising in optimal control problems for economic growth models. It is shown that such stable manifold exists for almost all possible values of model parameters guaranteeing the existence of a steady state. Research is based on the qualitative analysis of the Hamiltonian dynamics, which plays a key role for investigating the asymptotic behavior of optimal trajectories. A procedure is proposed for stabilization of the Hamiltonian system, whose trajectories converge to equilibrium and approximate the optimal solution with the quadratic accuracy at a vicinity of the steady state. Basing on properties of the Hamiltonian matrices, the classification of steady states is provided and the sensitivity analysis for identification of their character is implemented with respect to model parameters. The proposed approach is applied to the model dealing with dynamic optimization of the resource productivity. © 201818–01–00221aThe paper is supported by Russin Foundation for Basic Research (Project No. 18–01–00221a)

The article considers the correlative analysis of amplitude-temporal characteristics of evoked potentials of brain cortex in sportsmen of playing kinds of sport and athletes at perception and processing of significant information “What” and “Where” in the brain cortex. The method of electroencephalography (Р300 methodology) was used to study the evoked potentials of the brain cortex. The statistical processing of data was realized using the statistical package MedStat. Kendall coefficient of correlation was used depending on data distribution, different from the normal values distribution. In the result of research there were revealed the high interconnections of latency of later components in sportsmen of both groups of examined persons at observation of significant stimuli “What” and “Where”. There was revealed the intensification of correlations of latency in frontal, central and temporal parts of the brain cortex. The correlations of amplitude of late components of biopotentials of the brain cortex were characterized with mean coefficients of interconnection mainly in sagittal central frontal and also parietal parts of cortex

An optimization model of the economic growth under presence of structural changes

The paper investigates economic growth models with non-smooth production functions. The non-smoothness of a production function can be caused, for example, by structural changes in the economy of a region (or a country). Another possible reason is the self-adjustment property of the model, which implies that estimated parameters of the production function may change after the econometric analysis conducted for statistical data augmented with data of new periods. Application of the Pontryagin maximum principle leads to analysis of the Hamiltonian system that includes derivatives of the production function, therefore, the smoothness property of the production function is important for this application. The paper proposes the technique that makes the production function differentiable and, under some additional assumptions, does not affect the qualitative behavior of optimal solutions. Theoretical results are supported by the numerical example. © 2020 American Institute of Physics Inc.. All rights reserved

Structural changes in economic growth models

The paper is devoted to analysis of one-sector growth models and corresponding control problems on optimal distribution of investments. The paper considers a model with a linear production function, which takes into account the feasibility of structural changes in an economy. By introducing dummy variables one can statistically indicate a period when the model undergoes changes. This provides the possibility to switch the model in different modes for providing more accurate forecasts of economic development. For the optimal control problems, the qualitative analysis of the Hamiltonian systems is implemented and solutions are constructed for each model mode. Continuous gluing of the obtained trajectories is obtained as a solution of the optimal control problem with different model modes on the infinite time interval. Comparison of the resulting model trajectory with statistical data reveals that the simulated trends provide sufficiently accurate matching with the real data. Adaptation of model parameters to a new economic mode can be considered as a learning process for the entire optimal control model. It makes the model more flexible with respect to the qualitative changes influencing forecasts of economic development. © 2017Russian Science Foundation: 15-11-1001

Purpose was the assessment of diagnostic efficiency of MR-rectography in diagnostics of small-size rectal neoplasms. 12 patients with polyps and small tumors of a rectum are examined, the size of detected neoplasms varied in the range 3-18 mm. Native MRI and MRI with retrograde contrasting by ultrasonic gel was carried out. Results of MRI are compared with results of videocolonoscopy. Sensitivity of native MRT was 24%, MR- rectography was 88%. MR-rectography can be used in diagnostics of small-size rectal neoplasms
