Power line communication (PLC) technology has emerged to foster ease of reach for broadband access network in remote or developing areas at lower costs by making use of existing wired power infrastructure for electricity distribution. The increase in data demand, pushed by the popularity of communication services, poses an overwhelming burden on the underlying PLC technology, especially for backhaul links. To confront this issue, edge server deployed at the access network improves data processing and reduces network delays and also helps better provisioning of resources which are crucial for PLC networks. Moreover, data caching at specialized nodes such as edge servers brings forth efficient retrieving, storing and processing of data.In this work, we propose a distributed data caching scenario jointly based on edge server (ES) and edge devices (EDs) that are equipped with caching facility and are communicating via PLC in a remote area. We develop a framework to test the mutual collaboration between ES and EDs for content fetching to minimize the use of cloud resources and relieve the load on possibly congested PLC backhaul links. Results reveal that a collaborative caching would boost effective utilization of low bandwidth PLC links and the shift of most popular contents at user premises is crucial to improve socio-economic growth and digital learning platforms for unconnected part of the world

Two polynuclear metal complexes with general formula [Ni4L4(H2O)12].2H2O and [Co3L3(H2O)9].5H2O have been synthesized via solid state synthesis with Schiff base derived from vanillin and L-valine. The compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, ESI-Mass spectrometry, infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and conductivity measurements. Data from experimental results showed that the ligand binds to two metal centers in a tridentate (N O O) manner through the imine nitrogen, phenolic and carboxylic oxygen respectively. Antimicrobial activities of the ligand and its corresponding metal complexes were investigated and found active  against some selected bacterial and fungal species. Keywords: solid–state reaction, polynuclear metal complexes, mass spectrometry, thermal decomposition, antimicrobial activity

Deformation analysis using height differences is imperative to the determination of vertical movements in engineering structures, landslide areas and crustal deformations. GNSS technology and data processing software have made these observations much more convenient, accurate and cost-effective tool for monitoring of natural and man-made structures. Here, we determine the vertical movement of a bridge with respect to control network established on stable grounds. These include pre-analysis, survey design, data collection, data reduction, adjustments determination of maximum expected displacement and its accuracy requirement. The observations are carried out in geodetic monitoring network in three epochs (2017, 2018 and 2019), and by this way stable network are verified. The instrument employed is Pro-mark3 and its accessories for measuring planimetric positions and elevations of points. Once the survey have been conducted, GNSS Solutions provides accurately determine site locations within the parameters establish. Least squares adjustment was used for rigorous adjustment of GPS carrier-phase measurements. The statistical test was carried out using Fisher Table and by computing T- test values. Finally the results obtained portrayed that the bridge, even though has minor vertical movement is found to be stable. Keywords: Engineering Structure, Vertical Movement, Deformation Monitoring, GNSS, T-tes

The concept of cloud computing model is to grant users access to outsource data from the cloud server without them having to worry about aspects of the hardware and software management. The owner of the data encrypts it before outsourcing to a Cloud Service Provider (CSP) server for effective deployment of sensitive data. Data confidentiality is a demanding task of cloud data protection. Thus, to solve this problem, lots of techniques are needed to defend the shared data. We focus on cryptography to secure the data while transmitting in the network. We deployed Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) used as encryption method for cloud data security, to encrypt the sensitive data which is to be transmitted from sender to receiver in the network and to decrypt so that the receiver can view the original data. Arrays of encryption systems are being deployed in the world of Information Systems by various organizations. In this paper, comparative analysis of some various encryption algorithms in cryptography have been implemented by comparing their performance in terms of stimulated time during Encryption and decryption in the network.
