About the Applicability of Bone and Cartilage Acid-free Staining for Anura
The article describes the first use of acid-free alcian-alizarin staining for tailless amphibians in comparison with the standard method of acid staining on the example of the moor frog. The acid-free protocol is applicable for Anura and it has a number of advantages, such as the absence of decalcification, safety for the researcher andothers. Skeletal Anomalies of Juvenile Smooth Newts - Lissotriton vulgaris
An article contains first data on internal skeletal anomalies of smooth newt juveniles. The material was collected on the territory of urban agglomeration of Yekaterinburg. We found 16 variants of anomalies. An increase of general frequency of deviations along urbanization gradient were mentioned. The differences and specificity ofthe populations spectra are related with the profiling of the juveniles definitive morphology by environmental specifics
Germanium Detector with Internal Amplification for Investigation of Rare Processes
Device of new type is suggested - germanium detector with internal
amplification. Such detector having effective threshold about 10 eV opens up
fresh opportunity for investigation of dark matter, measurement of neutrino
magnetic moment, of neutrino coherent scattering at nuclei and for study of
solar neutrino problem. Construction of germanium detector with internal

Properties of humic substances isolated from different natural sources
The purpose of study was to determine properties of humic substances by combination of modern and traditional methods. Humic substances isolated from three different sources from Mongolia such as peloid from Lake Gurban nuur, coal from Baganuur deposit and oil shale from Shine khudag deposit. On the basis of determination H/C and O/C atomic ratios in humic substances by elemental analysis, confirmed existing of aromatic structures in the molecules and oxidized functional groups. Have been studied the structure of humic substances by spectral method. For example infrared spectrums showed that humic substances are characterizing with poly-structural components, with different quantity in the samples. Light adsorption of samples in the UV-Vis region, a decrease on the absorption intensity with an increase of the wave length was observed (Fig. 2). The high ratio Н/С, attributed to stretching of C=C bond of aromatic rings in IR spectrums, the high content of functional groups, lower extinction coefficients, confirmed that aromatic fragments to prevail than aliphatic chain fragments in structure of all studied HS. A new humic acid remedy with addition of silver nanoparticles
Previously known biogenic stimulator humic acid (HA) was the subject of this current study and HA based new remediation was developed by addition of silver (Ag) nanoparticles in its macromolecule. Extracted HA from a healing mud was characterized and used as reducing agent for Ag ion as well as a stabilizer for the formed Ag nanoparticles. The properties of the obtained hybrid composite were examined by XRD, UV and FTIR spectroscopic techniques. Design and operation of a cryogenic charge-integrating preamplifier for the MuSun experiment
The central detector in the MuSun experiment is a pad-plane time projection
ionization chamber that operates without gas amplification in deuterium at 31
K; it is used to measure the rate of the muon capture process . A new charge-sensitive preamplifier, operated at
140 K, has been developed for this detector. It achieved a resolution of 4.5
keV(D) or 120 RMS with zero detector capacitance at 1.1 s
integration time in laboratory tests. In the experimental environment, the
electronic resolution is 10 keV(D) or 250 RMS at a 0.5 s
integration time. The excellent energy resolution of this amplifier has enabled
discrimination between signals from muon-catalyzed fusion and muon capture on
chemical impurities, which will precisely determine systematic corrections due
to these processes. It is also expected to improve the muon tracking and

Quantum treatment of neutrino in background matter
Motivated by the need of elaboration of the quantum theory of the spin light
of neutrino in matter (), we have studied in more detail the exact
solutions of the Dirac equation for neutrinos moving in the background matter.
These exact neutrino wavefunctions form a basis for a rather powerful method of
investigation of different neutrino processes in matter, which is similar to
the Furry representation of quantum electrodynamics in external fields. Within
this method we also derive the corresponding Dirac equation for an electron
moving in matter and consider the electromagnetic radiation ("spin light of

Neutrinos in a spherical box
In the present paper we study some neutrino properties as they may appear in
the low energy neutrinos emitted in triton decay with maximum neutrino energy
of 18.6 keV. The technical challenges to this end can be achieved by building a
very large TPC capable of detecting low energy recoils, down to a a few tenths
of a keV, within the required low background constraints. More specifically We
propose the development of a spherical gaseous TPC of about 10-m in radius and
a 200 Mcurie triton source in the center of curvature. One can list a number of
exciting studies, concerning fundamental physics issues, that could be made
using a large volume TPC and low energy antineutrinos: 1) The oscillation
length involving the small angle of the neutrino mixing matrix, directly
measured in this disappearance experiment, is fully contained inside the
detector. Measuring the counting rate of neutrino-electron elastic scattering
as a function of the distance of the source will give a precise and unambiguous
measurement of the oscillation parameters free of systematic errors. In fact
first estimates show that even with a year's data taking a sensitivity of a few
percent for the measurement of the above angle will be achieved. 2) The low
energy detection threshold offers a unique sensitivity for the neutrino
magnetic moment which is about two orders of magnitude beyond the current
experimental limit. 3) Scattering at such low neutrino energies has never been
studied and any departure from the expected behavior may be an indication of
new physics beyond the standard model. In this work we mainly focus on the
various theoretical issues involved including a precise determination of the

Action minimizing fronts in general FPU-type chains
We study atomic chains with nonlinear nearest neighbour interactions and
prove the existence of fronts (heteroclinic travelling waves with constant
asymptotic states). Generalizing recent results of Herrmann and Rademacher we
allow for non-convex interaction potentials and find fronts with non-monotone
profile. These fronts minimize an action integral and can only exists if the
asymptotic states fulfil the macroscopic constraints and if the interaction
potential satisfies a geometric graph condition. Finally, we illustrate our
