Some studies have shown the effects of sensory stimulation on vital signs of patients at intensive care unit (ICU). However, little knowledge is available about family role compared to the role of nursing staff in this issue and current results are controversial. The aim of this study is to compare the impact of sensory stimulation performed by family members and nurses on vital signs of patients at ICU. In this study, 9669 patients were categorized into two intervention groups and one control group by stratified block randomization method. Dyang sensory stimulation was provided by family members and nursing staff. No intervention was performed for control group. Sensory stimulation was performed 2 hours a day for 6 consecutive days. The vital signs were assessed 5 minutes before and 30 minutes after intervention. Data analysis was performed by ANCOVA, ANOVA and repeated measures. The results showed that there was significant difference between the experimental groups in terms of vital signs before and after the intervention (p<0.001). Of this aspect, family group was the best, nursing group was the second and control group was the last group in classification. The effect of sensory stimulation on vital signs of comatose patients was greater when provided by family members

Nowadays tourism is considered as one of the main sources of income in the world, and also an effective factor in cultural exchanges between countries that is why it has a very special position as the largest service industry in the world. Therefore there is a close and intense competition in many countries to increase their revenues and interests by means of such an international activity. Obviously, a little negligence can lead to lost opportunities. Therefore, the most successful one among the competing countries is the one that moves forward based on a strategic plan; and one way of achieving the strategic plan is tourism marketing which aims at gaining customer satisfaction in a profitable manner. In order to succeed in tourism marketing, we must fit well to present the future orientations of the market. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the use of marketing information systems in tourism-as a way of attracting tourists- by descriptive approach. This paper shows that major changes have taken place in the business world; as a result, various economic sectors have been forced to manipulate information systems to gain overwhelming profits

The aim of this study was to compare the quality of life, mental health, and alexithymia and Distress tolerance of nurses working in intensive care units of Covid-19 (Corona) patients with nurses in other wards. Which was done by descriptive method of causal-comparative studies. The statistical population of this study was selected from all hospitals in Tehran's third district and the sample size was equal to 97 people (47 nurses in the intensive care unit and 50 nurses in the normal ward). Data collection tools in this study included the World Health Organization Quality of Life Questionnaire (short form) (1989), Goldberg and Hiller General Health Questionnaire (1979), Toronto Bagby et al (1994). Emotional Dysfunction Scale, Simmons and Gaher(2005). Methods of data analysis in this study using the questionnaires in the descriptive section including describing the demographic characteristics of the sample group, mean, standard deviation, and preparing a frequency distribution table, statistical graphs, and in the analysis of hypotheses. Achieving the result was analyzed using independent t-test by SPSS22 software. The results showed that there was a significant difference between quality of life in nurses working in intensive care units and nurses working in normal wards. The quality of life of nurses working in normal wards is higher than nurses in special wards and also mental health, emotional malaise and tolerance of anxiety of nurses working in special wards are higher than nurses in normal wards. According to the results of the present study, providing adequate personal protective equipment and creating the conditions for using counseling and psychological services in a timely manner, along with other security and incentive measures, can be useful in reducing the psychological overload of nurses

Background & Objectives: In the competitive market of medical services, providing quality services and building a strong relationship that shapes patient loyalty is a key factor in gaining market share. Therefore, the present study was conducted to determine the effect of environmental factors on the level of satisfaction, emotions, and behavioral intentions in hospitalized patients. Methods: The present study was a descriptive-analytical cross-sectional one conducted in the first half of 2019. A total of 210 patients admitted to selected public hospitals in Shiraz were included in the study by simple random sampling. The data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire. Data were entered into SPSS software (version 22) and Smart pls (version 3). Confirmatory factor analysis and structural equations were used to test the hypotheses. Results: Environmental factors had an effect on behavioral intentions, emotions, and satisfaction of hospitalized patients with path coefficients of 0.377, 0.654, and 0.590, respectively. Satisfaction with a path coefficient of 0.548 and emotions with a path coefficient of 0.001 had an effect on behavioral intentions. Moreover, it was proved that emotions and satisfaction had a mediating role in the impact of environmental factors on the behavioral intentions of hospitalized patients. Conclusion: The hospital should pay attention to providing and strengthening environmental indicators and improving the physical space and it should prioritize these factors in its future plans. Also, allocate a separate part of the annual hospital costs to this matter. Background/PurposeThe prevalence of obesity and overweight among children and adolescents is increasing rapidly. The present research was performed to determine the influence of a ā€˜ā€˜behavior modificationā€™ā€™ program on body mass index (BMI) in obese public high school students in Iran.MethodsIn this study, 152 adolescence and their parents were selected from 12 high schools of Khorram Abad from 2004 to 2006, and they were randomly assigned to either the intervention or the control groups. The ā€œbehavior modificationā€ interventional program consisted of nutritional education, modifying dietary habits, teaching exercise programs, teaching nutritional facts to the parents, and performing exercises 3 days a week. The height and weight as well as waist, hip, and wrist circumferences of the participants were measured before and after implementing the interventional program. BMI and waist to hip ratio (WHR) were calculated. The adolescents and parents completed a nutrition knowledge questionnaire. Adolescents also completed the Beckā€™s Depression Questionnaire.ResultsAdolescentā€™s mean weight, BMI, and waist and hip circumferences decreased significantly after implementing the interventional program, in the intervention group (pā‰¤0.001). In addition, the studentsā€™ and parentsā€™ nutrition knowledge increased in the intervention group after implementing the interventional program (p<0.046). The symptoms of depression decreased and the frequency of students without symptoms of depression increased in the case group, but it did not reveal a statistically significant difference between case and control groups.ConclusionThe ā€˜ā€˜behavior modificationā€™ā€™ interventional program is effective in reducing BMI in obese students, and therefore, school principals and planners can play an important role in controlling obesity by implementing this program via the students, their parents, and the school staff
