    Dengue hemorrhagic fever in Konawe District, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia

    Background: Indonesia is a tropical country that has various health problems, one of which is dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF), cases of which are reported every year, including in Konawe District. The control of cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever has been carried out intensively in Konawe District, but this action has not been able to reduce the number of dengue sufferers.Methods: Data on DHF cases were obtained from the Health Office in Konawe from 2010 to 2016. Reported of cases included all reported clinical cases of DHF. Data were extracted from an annual health fact sheet published by the district health officer in Konawe. The research findings are presented in graphical format. This study analyzes the pattern of DHF cases in Konawe District from 2010 to 2016.Results: In 2010, there were 115 cases of DHF in Konawe District. In 2011, there were 32 cases; 19 cases in 2012; 139 cases in 2013; 64 cases in 2014; 86 cases in 2015; and 313 cases in 2016. Annually, the peak in DHF cases occurred in February. In the period 2010-2016, there were four deaths due to DHF.Conclusions: Deaths due to DHF in Konawe District still occur. Factors that cause increased cases of dengue fever are prodigious. Vector control and changing people’s behavior are good actions to prevent DHF, for example health promotion. Ethiop. J.     Epidemiology of Anemia in Pregnant Women in the Coastal Region of the North Buton Regency, Southeast Sulawesi

    Anemia in pregnant women is one of the most common pregnancy problems and affects the health of mothers and babies. The objective of this study was to determine the epidemiology of anemia in pregnant women in the coastal area of the North Buton Regency. This research is a quantitative research using secondary data. Data of anemia in pregnant women from 2016 to 2020 was obtained from the North Buton District Health Office. The prevalence of anemia in pregnant women in North Buton Regency was very high. Most pregnant women suffer from mild anemia with an Hb value of 8-11 mg/dL. Kulisusu District had the highest number of pregnant women with anemia. The high prevalence of anemia in pregnancy requires urgent intervention to prevent complications to mother and baby.     Sebagian besar individu cenderung tidak menggunakan tangan kiri, sehingga banyak produk dan layanan dirancang untuk mereka yang menggunakan tangan kanan. Sekitar 10% dari populasi menggunakan tangan kiri dan hanya sekitar 1% dari seluruh populasi yang memiliki kemampuan seimbang pada kedua tangan. Di tingkat pendidikan yang lebih lanjut, kursi berlengan tulis standar dibentuk L dengan meja yang tetap di sisi kanan, yang digunakan untuk menulis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode yang terstruktur sesuai dengan langkah-langkah Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review (PRISMA). Google Scholar dipilih karena akses yang mudah dan beragamnya sumber yang tersedia tanpa biaya. Artikel-artikel yang dipilih berasal dari publikasi yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2019 hingga tahun 2023. Hanya 8 studi yang dipilih dari 1.653 publikasi yang teridentifikasi berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan kelayakan. Dalam tinjauan sistematik ini diketahui dari kedelapan jurnal bahwa Membuat desain kursi ergonomis dapat mengurangi kemungkinan terjadinya Musculoskeletal Disorders yang dialami oleh Mahasiswa kidal dalam kelas.     Epidemiology of Ca Mammae Using Surveillance Data in Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia

    Breast cancer is the 2nd most popular type of cancer with the highest percentage of new cases in the world with 2,093,876 sufferers (12.3% of the total cancer cases in the world). It is estimated that around 2.1 million women in the world suffer from breast cancer every year, of which around 627,000 women die from breast cancer. This study uses various data from the Indonesian government bodies. Data on breast cancer cases was obtained from the Southeast Sulawesi Provincial Health Office and the Bahteramas Hospital from 2017 to 2020. The data was the annual health profile published by the Bahteramas Hospital, Southeast Sulawesi Province. The findings were presented in a figure format. The conclusion is that most breast cancer patients are over the age of 30 years with a distribution that tends to increase every year. The prevalence of breast cancer cases from 2017 to 2020 has significantly increased, not only in the number of cases but also the death rate was also increasing.     HIV/AIDS is a health problem and the one of the deadliest virus in the world. HIV/AIDS is still a pandemic that worries the community. The disease has a relatively long asymptomatic phase (without symptoms). Generally it takes 2 to 15 years to produce definite symptoms. The cause of HIV is an infectious disease caused by the human immunodeficiency virus. AIDS is a condition that consists of a collection of symptoms related to the weakening of the immune system when the HIV infection has progressed and is not treated properly. It can also be transmitted from mother to baby during pregnancy. By now HIV/AIDS still cannot be cured because there is no certain cure. However, the disease can be controlled through the provision of Antiretoviral Therapy (ARV). This study used data on HIV/AIDS cases obtained from the Kendari City Health Office from 2015 to 2019. The conclusion is that positive HIV sufferers in the male group are 79.41% and the women group are 20.59%. The AIDS sufferers include 73.91% men and 26.09% women.     Investigating the Spread of Leprosy Using Secondary Data in Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia

    Leprosy, also known as Hansen’s disease, is caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium leprae. This disease attacks the skin, peripheral nerves, upper respiratory tract mucosa and eyes. This bacterium undergoes a long division process between 2-3 weeks. The survival of leprosy bacteria is 9 days outside the human body. Leprosy germs have an incubation period of 2-5 years. The World Health Organization reported that in 2019, 202,256 new cases of leprosy were detected in 118 countries, and that 79% of these were in India and Brazil. This study obtained data on leprosy from the Kendari City Health Office for 2017 to 2020. According to the findings, in 2018, the prevalence of leprosy in Kendari was 0.73%. The span was found to be 15 years with multi-bacillary type/wet leprosy with level 0 defects. Males were found to be the most susceptible to infection.     Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever Cases by Gender in the North Buton Regency in the 2018-2020 Period

    Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a public health problem where the number of patients continues to increase year by year. DHF is also endemic and continues to spread in several districts/cities in Southeast Sulawesi Province, including the North Buton Regency. The objective of this study is to describe the cases of DHF based on gender in the North Buton Regency between 2018-2020. This is a survey research utilizing health report data from the North Buton District Health Office in the 2018-2020 period, which includes data on DHF cases based on gender. The type of research data is numerical. The research data is presented in the form of a graph with narration. The conclusion of the study is that the case of DHF in the North Buton Regency for the 2018-2020 periods in the male group was the highest. The highest cases was at Public Health Center Kulisusu with 7 cases of male and 9 cases of female. There was no significant difference between men and women suffering from DHF.     Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is currently a health problem in Southeast Sulawesi Province. It requires serious attention from all stakeholders. This disease has the potential to lead to an extraordinary event (KLB) which is a threat to the wider community. This study used various data from the Indonesian Government Agencies. Data on cases of DHF was obtained from the Southeast Sulawesi Provincial Health Office and the Kolaka Health Office from 2016 to 2020. The conclusion is that most of the DHF sufferers are male with a distribution that tends to decrease every year. The prevalence of the fever has seen a significant decrease.
