Determinants of households’ credit behavior in Russia

    Get PDF
Purpose: The main goal of this work is to substantiate the need to consider microeconomic statistics when analyzing consumer lending to the population, as well as implementing approaches to modeling household credit behavior at the micro level. Design/Methodology/Approach: The article proposes and implements a comprehensive statistical approach that allows identifying the specificity of the influence of demographic, socio-economic characteristics of households on their credit activity. Findings: The article states that loan borrowings are more often found in households with children of preschool age who are in relatively high-income groups, who much more often inform about cash incomes that do not correspond to the declared level of consumption. Members of these households are more likely to work. The age range of borrowers expanded during the study period, and no prevalence of any age group was observed. Practical Implications: This result is of great practical importance, since, as already indicated, in assessing the solvency of the borrower, credit organizations are mainly focused on individual characteristics. Originality/value: It was found that the hypothesis that individual characteristics are important determinants of household lending activity has not been confirmed. And variables that characterize households significantly affect their credit behavior.peer-reviewe

Electronic structure and magnetic anisotropy of CrO_2

The problem of importance of strong correlations for the electronic structure, transport and magnetic properties of half--metallic ferromagnetic CrO_2 is addressed by performing density functional electronic structure calculations in the local spin density approximation (LSDA) as well as using the LSDA+U method. It is shown that the corresponding low--temperature experimental data are best fitted without accounting for the Hubbard U corrections. We conclude that the ordered phase of CrO$_2 is weakly correlated.Comment: 5 pages, 7 EPS figures, in RevTex forma

The authors investigated the electrochemical oxidation of iodide ions in the presence of a series of dithiophosphates (RO)//2PSS** minus at a glassy carbon electrode (R equals CH//3, C//2H//5, n-C//3H//7, n-C//4H//9, iso-C//4H//9, and sec-C//4H//9). By the method of 'electrochemical oxidation in an adsorbed layer' the authors showed that absence of a significant effect of adsorption on the electrode process. The anodic curves of electrode charging in the solution of the supporting electrolyte both in the absence of and after contact with a 0. 0016 M solution of DTP had a similar shape

Steric and hydrophobic effects of substituents in extraction of metal complexes with O,O-dialkyldithiophosphoric acids

The two-phase stability constants (equilibrium constants) of metal complexes MAn [Mn+ = Ni(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Pb(II), Tl(I), In(III)] with a series of O,O-dialkyldithiophosphoric acids in the system water-organic solvent) have been determined. By use of correlation analysis the role of the steric and hydrophobic effects of the substituents at the phosphorus atom on the stability constant βn and distribution constant P of the complexes has been elucidated. The data obtained are of use for determining the relationships in the influence of structure of a reagent on its extraction properties and on the conditions for practical application of O,O-dialkyldithiophosphoric acids for metal extraction. © 1987

Solidification of ternary melts with a two-phase layer

    Get PDF
This review is concerned with the nonstationary solidification of three-component systems in the presence of two moving phase transition regions—the main (primary) and cotectic layers. A non-linear moving boundary problem has been developed and its analytical solutions have been defined. Namely, the temperature and impurity concentration distributions were determined, the solid phase fractions in the phase transition regions and the laws of motion of their boundaries were found. It was shown that variations in the initial impurity concentration affect significantly the ratio between the lengths of the two-phase layers. A non-linear liquidus surface equation is theoretically taken into account as well

Septoriablotch epidemic process on spring wheat varieties

The Septoriablotch of spring wheat leaves and ears is one of the most economically significant infections in the Siberian region. In the control systems of Septoriablotch the main ecologically safe element is resistant  varieties, which are designed to slow down the pathogens reproduction rate and slow down or stop the development of the epiphytotic process. The purpose of the work was to clarify the species composition of Septoriablotch  pathogens for West Siberian regions and spring wheat varieties, to study the epiphytotic process of Septoriadifferentially on the leaves and ears of varieties, and to evaluate the activity of seed transmission of Parastagonospora  nodorum. Studies were carried out in 2016–2018 according to generally accepted methods. Septorialeaf and ear  blotch of spring wheat is widespread in West Siberia and the Trans-Urals, causing a decrease in yield by up to 50 %  or more with the deterioration in grain quality. The causative agents of the disease are P. nodorum, Septoria tritici,  and P. avenaef. sp. triticae, and the species ratio varied across the regions and varieties, and within plant organs.  In Novosibirsk Region, P. nodorumcompletely dominated; S. triticiwas 13.8 times less common; and P. avenae f. sp. triticaewas a singleton. In Tyumen Region, the dominance of P. nodorumwas disrupted in some geographic  locations by S. triticiand P. avenaef. sp. triticae. In Altai Krai, P. nodorumpredominated at all points studied; S. tritici and P. avenaef. sp. triticaewere found everywhere, but 5.6 and 8.6 times less often, respectively. The study of spring  wheat varieties of different origins has not revealed any samples immune to Septoriablotch. A differen tiated manifestation of resistance to Septorialeaf and ear disease has been established. Some varieties show complex resistance, combining reduced susceptibility to Septorialeaf and ear disease. Seed infection with P. nodorumin the  regions of Siberia reached 7 thresholds and was largely (52.5 %) determined by the August weather conditions.  The study of the collection of spring wheat varieties from three Siberian regions has revealed the following trend.  Transmission of P. nodorumwith the seeds of varieties was the most active (7.6 %) in Novosibirsk Region and somewhat weaker in Omsk Region (5.7 %). The most favorable phytosanitary situation was in Kurgan Region, where  varieties transmitted P. nodorumto a low degree (2.1 %), below the threshold

New indicator reactions involving sulfur-containing organic compounds for the kinetic determination of selenium

New indicator reactions were proposed for the determination of selenium by the kinetic method based on the reduction of Methylene Blue by some sulfur-containing organic compounds. It was demonstrated that a high sensitivity of the determination of selenium is attained using unithiol and thiomalic, 2,3-dithiomercaptopropionic, and rubeanic acids as reducing agents. In the presence of unithiol, down to 4 ng/mL selenium can be determined. © 2001 MAIK "Nauka/Interperiodica"
