Alfa Laval â ett företag Beyond budgeting?
Uppsatsens syfte Àr att beskriva och analysera hur Alfa Laval har ersatt den traditionella budgeten och hur vÀl den nya ekonomistyrning stÀmmer överens med teorierna kring Beyond budgeting. Resultatet av arbetet visar att företaget inte fullt ut har implementerat Beyond budgeting Àven om systemet med rullande prognoser har en stark stÀllning inom koncernens styrsystem. Systemet fÄr beskrivas som en hybrid av ett stort antal system som anpassats till Alfa Lavals behov. FörÀndringen har resulterat i en mer framsynt organisation med ett högre tempo i beslutsfattandet och mindre politiska konflikter i planeringsprocessen
The Effectiveness of Source Code Obfuscation: an Experimental Assessment
Source code obfuscation is a protection mechanism widely used to limit the possibility of malicious reverse engineering
or attack activities on a software system. Although several code obfuscation techniques and tools are available, little knowledge is available about the capability of obfuscation
to reduce attackersâ efficiency, and the contexts in which such an efficiency may vary. This paper reports the outcome of two controlled experiments meant to measure the ability of subjects to understand and modify decompiled, obfuscated Java code, compared to
decompiled, clear code. Results quantify to what extent code obfuscation is able to make attacks more difficult to be performed, and reveal that obfuscation can mitigate the effect of factors that can alter the likelihood of a successful attack, such as the attackersâ skill and experience, or the intrinsic characteristics of the system under attack
A Scientific Basis for the Development of the Next Generation of Biomass Burners
The kinetics derived from the classical engineering study are used to simulate the devolatilization and char burn-out phases in the CFD model. Likewise, the study on morphology development will be used to estimate suitable sub-routines, e.g. effective drag coeffcients. The full-scale campaign is used to evaluate the results of the generic CFD models. As the qualitative trends can be reproduced, the CFD models can be used to extend the experimental matrix and facilitate process optimization
