Classical Electron Model with Negative Energy Density in Einstein-Cartan Theory of Gravitation
Experimental result regarding the maximum limit of the radius of the electron
\sim 10^{-16} cm and a few of the theoretical works suggest that the
gravitational mass which is a priori a positive quantity in Newtonian mechanics
may become negative in general theory of relativity. It is argued that such a
negative gravitational mass and hence negative energy density also can be
obtained with a better physical interpretation in the framework of

Gender-specific changes in energy metabolism and protein degradation as major pathways affected in livers of mice treated with ibuprofen.
Ibuprofen, an inhibitor of prostanoid biosynthesis, is a common pharmacological agent used for the management of pain, inflammation and fever. However, the chronic use of ibuprofen at high doses is associated with increased risk for cardiovascular, renal, gastrointestinal and liver injuries. The underlying mechanisms of ibuprofen-mediated effects on liver remain unclear. To determine the mechanisms and signaling pathways affected by ibuprofen (100 mg/kg/day for seven days), we performed proteomic profiling of male mice liver with quantitative liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) using ten-plex tandem mass tag (TMT) labeling. More than 300 proteins were significantly altered between the control and ibuprofen-treated groups. The data suggests that several major pathways including (1) energy metabolism, (2) protein degradation, (3) fatty acid metabolism and (4) antioxidant system are altered in livers from ibuprofen treated mice. Independent validation of protein changes in energy metabolism and the antioxidant system was carried out by Western blotting and showed sex-related differences. Proteasome and immunoproteasome activity/expression assays showed ibuprofen induced gender-specific proteasome and immunoproteasome dysfunction in liver. The study observed multifactorial gender-specific ibuprofen-mediated effects on mice liver and suggests that males and females are affected differently by ibuprofen
Evaluating the Chinese Revised Controlling Behaviors Scale (C-CBS-R)
The present study evaluated the utility of the Chinese version of the Revised Controlling Behaviors Scale (C-CBS-R) as a measure of controlling behaviors in violent Chinese intimate relationships. Using a mixed-methods approach, in-depth, individual interviews were conducted with 200 Chinese women survivors to elicit qualitative data about their personal experiences of control in intimate relationships. The use of controlling behaviors was also assessed using the C-CBS-R. Interview accounts suggested that the experiences of 91 of the women were consistent with the description of coercive control according to Dutton and Goodman’s (2005) conceptualization of coercion. Using the split-half validation procedure, a receiver operating characteristics (ROC) curve analysis was conducted with the first half of the sample. The area under the curve (AUC) for using the C-CBS-R to identify high control was .99, and the cutoff score of 1.145 maximized both sensitivity and specificity. Applying the cutoff score to the second half gave a sensitivity of 96% and a specificity of 95%. Overall, the C-CBS-R has demonstrated utility as a measure of controlling behaviors with a cutoff score for distinguishing high from low levels of control in violent Chinese intimate relationships
Synthesis for Polynomial Lasso Programs
We present a method for the synthesis of polynomial lasso programs. These
programs consist of a program stem, a set of transitions, and an exit
condition, all in the form of algebraic assertions (conjunctions of polynomial
equalities). Central to this approach is the discovery of non-linear
(algebraic) loop invariants. We extend Sankaranarayanan, Sipma, and Manna's
template-based approach and prove a completeness criterion. We perform program
synthesis by generating a constraint whose solution is a synthesized program
together with a loop invariant that proves the program's correctness. This
constraint is non-linear and is passed to an SMT solver. Moreover, we can
enforce the termination of the synthesized program with the support of test

Evidence of Twisting and Mixed-polarity Solar Photospheric Magnetic Field in Large Penumbral Jets: IRIS and Hinode Observations
A recent study using {\it Hinode} (SOT/FG) data of a sunspot revealed some
unusually large penumbral jets that often repeatedly occurred at the same
locations in the penumbra, namely at the tail of a penumbral filament or where
the tails of multiple penumbral filaments converged. These locations had
obvious photospheric mixed-polarity magnetic flux in \NaI\ 5896 Stokes-V images
obtained with SOT/FG. Several other recent investigations have found that
extreme ultraviolet (EUV)/X-ray coronal jets in quiet Sun regions (QRs),
coronal holes (CHs) and near active regions (ARs) have obvious mixed-polarity
fluxes at their base, and that magnetic flux cancellation prepares and triggers
a minifilament flux-rope eruption that drives the jet. Typical QR, CH, and AR
coronal jets are up to a hundred times bigger than large penumbral jets, and in
EUV/X-ray images show clear twisting motion in their spires. Here, using IRIS
\MgII\ k 2796 \AA\ SJ images and spectra in the penumbrae of two sunspots we
characterize large penumbral jets. We find redshift and blueshift next to each
other across several large penumbral jets, and interpret these as untwisting of
the magnetic field in the jet spire. Using Hinode/SOT (FG and SP) data, we also
find mixed-polarity magnetic flux at the base of these jets. Because large
penumbral jets have mixed-polarity field at their base and have twisting motion
in their spires, they might be driven the same way as QR, CH and AR coronal
